If your on a budget I recommend the smaller ver the s640/s640w
Currently there's a sale for 50% so I took it rq for abt 33usd the original price being 66 with an active size of 10 x 6.27
    Not sure abt the s640
Just clarifying I'm getting the s1060 not the s1060w although it's only a lil more I don't trust wireless devices that much

I currently am testing the S1060W and it uses a wireless USB-A receiver.

How do you choose between 10 inch tablet and 6 inch tablet?

    My opinion without offending anyone:
    - They should put a very large indicative on the protective film, as I see a lot of people complain that it scratches easily when it doesn't. They simply do not remove this protective film. The sticker that should have the function of removing the protective film is a complete fail, so I recommend using a piece of masking tape to do that job.
    - On Android it works excellent in terms of sensitivity, rotation, pressure; except that drawing a perfect circle (helped with a circular cap) on the cell phone reflects an oval. I understand that this is due to the aspect ratio of the cell phone (19.5:9 in huawei y9s) but I see that all manufacturers are falling asleep creating drivers for Android with the function to adapt to the aspect ratio of the cell phone screen, just like in Windows or Mac.
    - The wireless version works just as well as the wired version, you don't feel any kind of lag, both on PC and Android. The L-shaped Type-C cable is something that is greatly appreciated.
    - The pencil looks very poor quality, it even seems to be made at home with a 3d printer. But it works great, that's just the impression it gives. The feel and position of the buttons is good compared to my old wacom where I hardly felt whether I was pressing button 1 or 2.
    - I feel that the pressure that you have to apply with the pencil is a lot to obtain the 8000 levels, although I have the curve in the driver at the limit, I feel the same, it is something that I did not feel with the wacom. I'll have to play more with the curve, but at first it's something that makes me a little uneasy.
    - The surface is large and has (to my liking) too much texture compared to a wacom, this one (ugee) feels less natural, more plastic, but this helps to scratch less. Due to this "super-texture" sometimes the hand gets stuck on long strokes, they should include a 2-finger glove for a more enjoyable experience.
    - They should sell tips as accessories on the manufacturer's website; although it brings 10 spares (I estimate about 4-5 years to spend them all) it feels like they wear out quickly due to the texture of the tablet. So, it would not be bad to give the client some peace of mind and let him see that it is a brand that cares about the details in the future.
In general terms, the tablet is perfect for its price, I bought it in a flash sale with a 24% discount plus a coupon of 10 dollars, costing only 51 dollars. The brand's customer service through social networks is excellent (you must take into account the time change for the response time, they are in Hong Kong).
I recommend it for people who are coming from a small tablet or for those who want a second tablet at an affordable price.
    SR! from Avartica

hey there, man thanks for this detailed explanation, am about to buy one.
I hope the pen quality doesn't really effect the drawing experience though.

Sounds like hardware problem. Contact Ugee and see what they say

I don't understand how they messed up this tablet so much? I have the Ugee M708 for 4 years and had no problems. So I was expecting a similar performance with this one but nope (I use Windows)

I just got the S1060W today and find that the app it comes with doesn't do a good job on reprogramming the shortcut keys.
I'm using GIMP but the way the keys can be customized, is simple and some keys do work, while other keys, even after customizing them, still trigger their default assignments. Not good.

Same problem here. I've just gotten the tablet and have been trying for hours to figure out why the shortcuts don't reprogram properly.

There is a delay in the pen and base. I was drawing on the paper base and the line shows up 1 sec delayed. Not convenient.

    this or m708?

    • @didi7074
      @didi7074 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

100% M708. I have the M708 for 3 years now and had no problems! Worked on every drawing app I tested (Clip Studio, Paint tool sai, Autodesk Sketchbook, Medibang, FireAlpaca and Krita). All I had to do was install the latest Driver for Windows I haven't had driver, tilt or pressure problems like the S1060 has. Not to mention it's bigger

If you're going for M708, then get the M708 v3. You don't have to worry about a battery for your pen.
Or you want to go with Xp-pen, use Star 03 v2. Same tablet design but Xp-pen is a better company for driver support.
      UGEE < XP-Pen
Regardless though.. M708(UGEE) and/or Star03(XP-Pen) are both pretty old. Xp-pen has great prices with more up to date tablet and display designs. Plus like I said before, better driver support.

Wow, it's unforgivable for something that came out in 2021 to not even work in Photoshop.
