Great honest review Dan! Liking the look of this, also been looking at the Reolink PTZ 4G cameras - but they’re much more expensive. Even bigger BUT….
Like you said, the white solar panel backing & cable is a real let down for me too; even a muted green or brown would be ok - anything but white! As soon as you put that out it’s gonna give it away instantly, so for me I will not be buying until this is addressed. If K&F had done their homework they’d know this won’t work out in a remote real world situation, it’ll get nicked!
Shame really as something so simple to address would make this a big seller & a game changer in terms of real world instant access. In your own garden no problem, but not out in a remote location (unless it’s completely fenced/gated with no possible public access). Hopefully they’ll be watching your channel to see the comments & get on to it 🤞 Great stuff mate, keep on keeping on.

Thanks for your comment Nick. Couple of things I would say is that I’ve modified solar panels like this before on CCTV systems that I have put up on Badger Setts when working with local badger groups. Two cans of spray paint (1 green, 1 brown) and some camouflage tape solves the issue of the white immediately. I would say that once done this trail camera is excellent.
Secondly is the app and 4G link up, it’s just brilliant what that gives you over traditional trail cameras. The live feedback is fantastic.

Great review. However when you are in your house talking there's a distracting light flickering behind you which makes it difficult to watch.

A review of the Z9 would really be a great help for me, I have a Z6ii and not totally happy with the animal eye tracking on and have been thinking about trading in for a z9 so if you can I would certainly be grateful. Ian 👍

Hi Dan the batteries you are looking at in the trail camera I think you will find they are 18650 batteries common in the ecig world and easy to get hold of and charge on normal chargers .

Thanks very much I appreciate it. If memory serves me correctly I think you can record up to 10 seconds. You can then change how frequently the camera records so in theory you can have it recording pretty much continuously 👍🏻
Do I need a smartphone to run this camera, or can the app be run from a laptop?
That's a very good question!
I have just checked and I can download the app from both Apple App store and Google play. It is not designed for lap tops but works okay.
Is the connection to the solar panel also waterproof?
Yes the cable goes through a rubber seal to keep it all waterproof 👍🏻

I've ordered this camera. It came with a sim card from Eiot club. Followed the instructions and it's stating the sim card has been recalled! Did yours come with this sim card? Can you use an alternative network?
