R.I.P Irene just saw it on Instagram I love that movie upon til now it's my favorite...so much memories and joy. Tear comes to my eyes...to see the love people had then...compare to now. 🕊️🕊️🕊️
Probably have watched this 200 times. I think it was the first movie I bought on VHS. Imo, it really holds up to today...all those quick scene switches that at the time seemed chaotic is normal today
0:21- And all of them will learn to Electric Boogaloo. 0:41- Sir, this is Suspiria. We just need to know if your guts look good on camera. 0:46- Yes, the Irene Cara classic "Flashdance." What a fame...or something. 1:20- Not to mention getting pissed off, because you sensed there was a Staying Alive reference coming. 1:29- That joke offends me. Time to light your torches and stalk this man on Twitter!
I recently purchased a copy of this film from a second-hand store. I started watching it and after about 20 minutes, I switched it off and tossed it in the bin. I was looking forward to watching it but it was so boring 😴. I enjoyed watching the tv series when it was originally on tv.
Lol i love the hit song fame, however, to this day I still haven't seen this movie cause I don't like musicals. I wonder if it is available for streaming so I can give it a chance and make it a movie night and finally watch this movie.
I hate musicals too but this isn’t a musical. Musicals is when they get up and randomly dance on a street out of nowhere. Every dance number or music scene is cuz they’re performing. No Grease or Lala Land here.
I hate most musicals outside of Grease and maybe a few others, but Fame isn't a musical in that sense. Music and dance play a big role in it but it's a coming to age drama.

You obviously have not seen this film. It dissects the brazen desire for fame while showcasing the challenges and sacrifices pure artists go through to even survive as a performer. Watch the feature or wallow in your uninformed 'disgust' and ignorance.
Just heard Irene Cara passed away . Coco and Leroy are gone. I will remember their names.. remember .. remember . Rest in peace
Don't forget Mr. Shorofsky, Mrs. Sherwood, Bruno's dad, Doris's mom, And Mr. England too.

R.I.P. Irene Cara. Beautiful voice, beautiful dancer, beautiful person. Will definitely remember your name!
She is lovingly remembered as an icon of the 80s. It’s sad that she died on Black Friday

If anything, it seems more '70s to me...
I saw this movie for the first time about ten years ago and instantly fell in love with it! The remake wasn't nearly as good as the original

So its basically Whiplash, but without buff JK Simmons throwing chairs at Mr Fantastic.
So which is basically Remake of John Carpenter's The Thing
Remake time, except darker
There's a 2009 remake
@@Skye_IsTheLimit and that sucked
Do real teenagers talk like that?
these types would have been 'woke'; all they needed was the internet and mobile phones
Artists are made to awaken the brain dead sleepers like you.

Good argument against cell phones and social media
