Terrific boat so far. I used to run a Ranger 620 but when I retired it was simply too much boat for me to manage at the launch by myself. So I wanted a boat built to the same quality as the Ranger. I bought the 2021 Lund 1875 Impact XS and it is soooooo much easier for me at the launch. The only issue I have is these aluminum boats are not real good in rough water. I guess that's the trade-off we make. That Ranger 620 simply was the driest boat in rough water I have ever been on. Love my Impact tho. Tons of room, and a wonderfully stable fishing platform. Plus it's $40 grand less than the 620, so I could pay CASH for it. Best of both worlds !
The extra strakes on the 2 help break water similar to a glass hull design. It makes the hull more rigid and IPS2 hulls are also thicker aluminium which attributes to its better ride vs the regular IPS. The 2025 Impact also has IPS2, not just the Tyee and ProV
On a 1400 fury tiller, 20" transom. Where should my 2023 25 hp mercury with power trim and tilt be mounted. I have tried the 3 and 4 bottom holes with the same result, water spraying off the motor when on plane. Thanks Randy
Thanks for the good presentation, I have a question about how we play with the engine tilting angle during the reide, I owned a 60 HP -Furry sports , my friend suggested that it is worth to try tilt the engine angle higher ( shallower in the water ) when running in full speed , that will advance and perform the full capacity of the engine, just wonder if that is applicable toward the IPS design.. thanks
@@WacondaBoatsKansasAndNebraska No problem. I just bought a 2019 Crossover 1775 that was still in stock at my local dealer, many hundreds of miles from you guys. It has an IPS hull, and I used to have a Tyee with an IPS2 hull. I always wondered the difference, and now you've confirmed what I suspected--that it's really only the 4 strakes that make an IPS into an IPS2 hull. I also loved your video on the Lund SporTrak accessories--especially with the new buttons.
Lund's are a beautiful boat. I have my eye on a 2075 Tyee (I live in Canada). I do have one question though, why doesn't Lund offer #1- windshield wipers on both windscreens, and #2- why don't they allow for an optional cockpit heater vents for driver and passenger front??

EXCELLENT Explanation of Lund Boat's IPS hulls. The best by far I've seen yet. Thank You!

What is the bump on the bottom of the hull in between the two lines of rivets about a foot from the transom at 0:53 in the video?
That is the high speed pick up for the livewell. It helps force water to the livewell pump when your on plane
