Thunder over Louisville 2023 “Through the Decades” Full Show

Our view of the 2023 Kentucky Derby Festival Opening Ceremonies: Thunder over Louisville. Thunder over Louisville is the largest annual combination air and firework show in the world.
Sunny, windy, and cold, this year’s show almost went off without a hitch! The fireworks did not start with the music due to a technical glitch, which caused the odd start you see this year. This year you could really feel the fireworks through the ground, as you will notice it in the video. Enjoy!

Looking right into the smoke was pretty daring, but wow! Great video! I was about the same distance away from the bridge to the west near the Belle Of Louisville office.

Thank you Sir! Recorded from my iPhone (11 Pro Max). Really wish I had paid attention because it recorded in 1080p vs 4K. Otherwise it’d look like my Nashville 4th of July video!
