If u leave the root part on the onion it won't make your eyes water. Also if u leave the diced garlic out in the air for 10-15 min the "allison" or medicinal compounds become more bio available. Blessings
I use a potato peeler a knife removes too much of the flesh also I roast the seeds along with the butternut squash soup halfway through I at the onions and a little bit of celery and finish roasting and then I just puree it with chicken broth and add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream the seeds give it such a delicious flavor along with the cinnamon and everything else
You don't need to peel the squash neather cut it in small peaces...roast the two halves at 425 degrees for 1 hour and scoop it out of the skin ! It's that simple !!!
@@seanharris5592 yes she totally looks like lebanese people: friendly and smiling :-) been there a few times and u definitely should go! don't worry about the street demonstrations: no pb as long as u don't get part of them. as a tourist u will avoid the places where they take place. the pb in Lebanon is the traffic and the way people drive, and as you need to rent a car to visit properly the country, this can be an issue. But it's an amazing country, lebanese people are soooooo welcoming and the food....well I have no word! just go :-)

That does make it simpler I agree but I like doing it this way so that the smaller pieces get extra caramelized.
I love the look of your kitchen

thanks! I cooked and it's fantastic!
Bit curry powder makes it extra yummy
Thanks you 👍❤️
Welcome 😊
👍
can we make it with pumpkin?
I think it'll work!
Watching a year later but this was super helpful
Glad it helped! Thank you!
Going to do this now
Hope you enjoy!
I thought this was supposed to be soup NOT dessert. Why put maple syrup, cinnamon, etc. in soup? And I thought I was going to use your recipe. NOPE
People do add maple syrup or pear or apple. I have been looking a many videos to try it out
Where is the printed recipe? Thank you.
The full recipe is on my website under Roasted Butternut Squash Soup: feelgoodfoodie.net/recipe/homemade-roasted-butternut-squash-soup/
Why peel it, just roast the whole thing then scoop out the softened flesh
I just find it easier this way, but you can definitely do that!
That looked like a white onion, hun. That's why it burnt so much cutting. 😭
Maple syrup is sugar
I use coconut milk. mmmmboy.
This takes over an hour could do a 3 course meal in that time...Nice recipe but not easy at all
Yes, I note on my website that it takes 1 hr 5 mins to make this recipe!
Soup takes at least an hour to render flavour, what do you expect.
It's easy, not quick.
As she already had the oven, why didn't she roast the seeds ?
You could also do that!
