I'm actually impressed it has Bluetooth and they don't even advertise it. It's like these things are so common nowadays so who cares
Its probably because Bluetooth is build in to most SOCs.
@@erk_0483You can look up the chip it has and yup, it's built in
The fact you can buy cheap Bluetooth devices brand new like mini speakers for like $1-$3 is pretty nuts these days.
the fact that a translator pen is more powerful than the Trimble Yuma is impressive
Well there are like 15 years between those were made....
9:33 Calling 8.1 ancient makes me feel like a corpse. I still have a phone running KitKat (4.4 iirc)
i love the fact that some kind of translator device has better ps1 emulation that new3ds
The new 3ds has limited specs and ancient hardware compared to the translation device which is effectively a modern cell phone.
@@christiangomez2496 if by "modern" you mean a $5 rockchip SoC from like 2014.

what android pregnancy test are you using for christ's sake?
reason these headphones look almost identical is because those shells more than likely come from a factory that also supplies the assembly of genuine apple headphones
so they arent really a copy, but a repurposed part
Next time use Web Adb and scrypy then you can use home buttons and rotate. Also theres just adb commands you can use to do stuff like button presses on the phone.
Was just going to comment this lol. Scrypy is really good.
@@IsaacIsNotAvailable scrypy does not work on some custom roms and this device probably has a custom rom so it can give errors

If your mind is blown by the sketchy Chinesium earpods, I'd LOVE to see you take a trip to Shenzen and see the markets, if you haven't seen Scotty at Strange Parts' videos about it them I think you'd love it, I can't wait to go to China again because Shenzen is electronics / computing / project / tooling / weird obscure parts etc HEAVEN
Also I'm both impressed and loving the upload schedule my guy!, so glad I came across your channel :)
This reminds me of when I used ADB to turn an old digital picture frame (Android 5.1!) into a “normal” wall-powered Android tablet. Never managed to get Google Play Services set up, but I did manage to get more use out of it.
I used a button remapper eventually to turn the play/pause button into a home button, remapped a couple other buttons, then just installed Launcher3.
Home button presses can be simulated with ADB for devices that don’t have a hardware or software home button. For me the launcher settings and navbar were missing and I had to delete the original launcher app and try to trigger the pop up for launcher selection with ADB
I basically experienced all the same weird oddities. The ApkInstaller app, lack of *proper* root, no notification area (except on the Lock Screen), no navigation bar, and having no way to really fix these. The ApkInstaller app can dump apk’s though, which is pretty cool
Can you please show the results?
A large part of the reason i love your content, is the memes scattered every few moments. Never stop
just imagine pulling this out in school and showing your mates half life at 60fps running on a translator pen
as a human, i absolutely love the earpod design. not even joking. they comfy af and stay in my ears.
From the comments about those it seems like you either love them or despise them and nobody is in the middle lol
For real I don’t get how it falls out of your ear, I find these to be the best fit. Ear buds, the squishy stuff those are Terrible. No matter the size.
Those of us that come from the Planet Zagborf love them.
they're the only in-ear earbuds i've used in the last decade because they fit so much better than anything else. most earbuds don't even stay in my ears at all
SAME
By the looks of the app icon, the touch keyboard that was installed was a Mainland China release of TouchPal that came preset to input Chinese instead of English. I do remember that there's a global version of it available on the Play Store.
Also, your issues with non-working OTG reminded me of the lack of OTG support on Likebook e-readers that used Rockchip RK3368, those being the Mars, Mimas, Muses, Alita, and Ares Note. All of them didn't have USB hosting capabilities. At this point, I won't be surprised if that was a common thing with Rockchip SoCs.
(15:07) Yep, that's another Samsung One UI feature that I find annoying.
Have you tried gaming on Ouya? That paperweight runs android and can _technically_ play a few games
the ouya emulation community was pretty big back in the day
This is quite a big understatement, I'm pretty sure it can run like every PS1 game full speed.
"Hey bro, did you just get a new phone?"
"Yes, a chinese translator pen"
Oh they didn't go through the effort to clone the headphones I can almost guarantee they used the same molds
It probably didn't make sense to have rotation if you are in weird positions scanning documents
Thank you for the consistency with your amazing videos!
Wipeout pure is my favorite PSP game, seeing it on such a goofy device really warms my heart. Wonderful!
I've legitimately been using earpod clones for years because it's like the only earbud design that doesn't have rubber tips which block out too much noise and just feel uncomfortable to me.
Same. Anything with silicone or other flexible tips causes severe ear pain within minutes for me.
SAME!! They're *literally* the only earbuds that will fit in my ear, the ones with the rubber always come out on their own and its so fucking annoying!
Old apple earphone gang rise up
I’m literally watching this with EarPods 😅 also they have usb c EarPods now
This was awesome! Really cool to see how capable that thing is
God i love your videos dude. And i LOVE how excited you get about this stuff! Gaming on unlikely devices has always had a certain intrigue to me so i really relate to how hyped you get about each small step 😄
apple started manufacturing usbc earpods a few months back. so they definitely have the molds. also, just look at the connector to check if it has squircle corners or fillets to see if it might be from an apple mold.
4:26
Also the letter "L or R" in the fake one is bolder than the OEM.
I know this because i used counterfeit earpods before, and also if there's an inline remote on the fake ones, they'll sound horrible and cheap compared to the OEM that doesn't sound clicky and doesn't feel plastic-y at all when you click it.

Now I’m wondering if you can run Doom on a Fitbit.
You definitely could. I believe they made Flappy Bird for the Xiaomi Mi band 8 as a stock app, so doom will fit in no problem
I'd love to see you try display over usb and see if that would work. also seeing it fully mounted to a controller would be kinda awesome. nice find!
Keep on the good work man, such an entertaining video
Love the effort. I also tinker, but this is better then my skill. Well done!

4:47 those are literally the only headphones that stick in my ears. The new stupid jelly things either fall out immediately or I have to shove them deep in my ear canal and they still fall out after a minute or two
Same.
love this one bringus keep em coming
You're gonna be a successful channel and I'm happy to come along for the ride
the funny thing is, alot of android based devices like this one come pre rooted (they have to root it in order to do something to it that is required for it to work and then they just don't un-root it), so you could possibly do this with even more devices
You had me at 2 TF2 references in a row while also managing to genius your way into a BB one as well.
Applauds, good sir. Applauds.
Almost at 100K, congrats Bringus
i will agree the wired ones fall out so much but the mic is insanely good
Someone ported the full Source Engine to Android, meaning you can run Half Life 2 and Portal on Android, and it works fairly well. I'd love to see you try it out on this thing.
I fucking love the Apple wired headphones, the ONLY earphones that don’t fall out of my ear. All the rubber ones do to varying degrees
Sorry your holes are shaped like a cocoa bean what the hell
I discovered your channel yesterday and I love it so much

10:52 just got me 😂😂😂
You are hilarious! Would love to see more quirky Android devices get a similar treatment.
Android 8.1.0 out of the box supports GSI Treble ROMs. Also, I have it saved somewhere. There's an ADB command you can use to get straight t developer options and check for OEM Lock
I subscribed . i'm here for this content. . . because you're right. No where else on youtube, will i ever see someone playing indiana jones lego on a chinese english tranlator. This video is oddly inspirational :D Thank you !
Love this video I think this is just funny that ur able to play games on the thing never would've thought of that
I was wondering if it would’ve been possible to use the red and blue mic buttons as media keys
"Xue Zhi You" should be "学之友" which means "friend of learning", showing that it is a learning assistant tool. And it is hilarious that at about 7:51 the Chinese you put on screen actually means gambling rather than gaming.
I see, did I at least get dog ass right?
@@BringusStudios It is right.
You had probably predicted the type-c earpods in the past you are genius man!
Good video as always!
Kinda funny how the regular opera is just turning into opera gx 2 but in a different look. the only differences between GX and the regular opera (which one is an update of) are the tab bundles and the AI being used is another one. I just use both switching from time to time for no reason.
Lmao bro you zip the scanner so fast

4:52 The design is very human
5:37 - this "bubble" looks like there is a camera beneath the lcd. pretty scary
I learnt something today. thank you.
I was so surprised it was on 8.1 instead of 4.4.1, then he called it ancient. Not sure how to feel about that right now.
We'll be getting 14 in August, so it's not that crazy
Me with Android go:
Anything after 5.1.1 is _not_ ancient
9:21 this SoC (RK3326) supports OpenGLES 3.2, so you can run Source Engine games on it, like Half Life 2, Portal, Counter Strike Source
But of course unplayable, it's slower than my old Galaxy S3 (which has GLES 2.0)
this was a fucking delight, thank you
I’m trying not to get “blood lipids” laughing ☠️🤌😬
4:46 not a SINGLE living soul at my high school ever struggled with these buds staying in their ears, except for me. THANK YOU for saying this, I feel vindicated.
The original Apple Earpods actually fit my ears perfectly, so much so that I use them with my Android phone. Though, with it being a Samsung S23 Ultra, it unfortunately has no headphone jack, so I have to also carry around a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter, but the Apple adapter has a very low volume on my phone. So a USB-C Earpod clone is quite interesting to me, though I doubt it's good quality. Also, I'd still need 3.5mm for older devices anyway. If only there was an adapter with both USB-C and 3.5mm as outputs, so I don't have to keep attaching/detaching it all the time. Or if Samsung brought back the headphone jack, and microSD card slot while they're at it. And of course, USB-C adapters would still work even with a headphone jack on the phone, in case anyone has a higher quality DAC in their external adapter.
I needed this today. Thank you, my overtime is now tolerable.
This was Stoopid awesome!!!
Gonna' be real: I thought it was a _giant pregnancy test_ from the thumbnail...

When talking about the apple earbuds you said NOBODY LIKES THESE THINGS. But l actually loved them and preferred them over plunger earbuds all through high-school until i eventually got air-pods (same fit and shape but no wire so less likely to get pulled out of ear.) LOVE the shape and feelings. super comfortable. For me. Just wanted to speak for everyone who likes the apple ear buds :P
