I run two in my Heavy Canotptek Court list. Imotekh, two technomancers, 1x5 immortals, 3 doomstalkers, 2 doomsday arks, 2x6 wraiths, 2x1 lokhust destroyers, 1x5 deathmarks, 1x 10 Lynchguard. Enhancements: dimensional sanctum & Tesla weave. Destroyers and deathmarks for actions, wraiths grab objectives, lynchguard to supports wraiths, everything else fire support of objective holders, Imotekh/ immortals CP farm. Tesla weave goes on techomancer with wraiths on objective anyone charges them chip damage mortal wounds.
I love our Necron Casino Gun but I've only ever found it really useful against elite units like Terminator Squads. Maybe it's just bad luck or just something else, but success, for me, was more common when taking down swathes of thicc elites. I often found myself using it to target melee threats that attempt to go after my Immortals like Bladeguard Veterans. I will say tho, I never thought of using the Doomsday Ark to protect the Hexmark Destroyers. That's a big brain play right there, one that I think I'll be using for my next games.
I use my doomsday ark in awakened dynasty. It stands there with two doomstalkers and a hexmark with the Phasal Subjugator enhancement. That way all 3 vehicles can move freely without caring for the "heavy" keyword. The one thing I found doomsday ark good at was damaging enemies with an invuln save - them dev wounds come in handy, but I ussualy like to keep a spare CP up my sleeve to re roll a 1 on the number of shots. Plus 10 gauss shots (20 if someone comes too close) with lethals and a +1 to hit from phasal subjugator are pretty good. Another plus for it is the surprisingly high durability. I usually hide parts of the model behind terrain to get benefit of cover and if I expect the model to be much of a target I place a reanimator and/or a spyder with both gloom prism and a fabricator array somewhere - usually behind thesame terrain providing cover for the ark - making that vehicle very spongy, often tanking a carnifex or two since one shot that passes the invuln will not be enough either way, and with a 6+ fnp two shots might not be enough still if the damage rolls are low.
Its good that you continue to iterate in your videos. It would now be nice to see some more analysis. Heavy comparisons were quire surface level. LHDs have 6dmg weapons vs DDA 4dmg weapon. "So what?" LHDs are specialised to take down large multi wound threats. They are wasted against elites. DDA has the versatility to hit elites, bikes, light vehicles and heavy vehicles. What does your list need? More specialist firepower or more generalist firepower? Monolith is more expensive than the DDA, but has more wounds, a range of useful guns to take on a range of targets - MEQ with particle whip and elites, bikes and higher with the 4 death rays. The death ray being D6+1 makes it more swingy and less reliable than the DDA. You get the opportunity to swing high and tear chunks out of a titanic (leas efficient than a DDA due to lower strength gun), or you could overkill some elites. Equally, you could swing low and do chip damage to a titanic/hit the sweet spot for elites. The point? If the dice rolls dont match your chosen target you could have a problem.. Again, what does your list need? If you're not incorporating all of the extra abilities of the monolith it's not worth the points. This is the mind of stuff I'd like to see more of
I use 3 in Obeisance Phalanx to support my Lychguard, Triarch Stalkers, Flayed Ones and Nightbringer. Not a great detachment when using purely units that benefit from it in full, but with these anti vehicle & terminators and apart from 180pts of my army the rest has 4+ invuns it is pretty hard to shift. I love my casino cannons 😂
I like the adjusted video's with the questions, its nice! unfortunetaly i don't have a Doomsday Ark yet, maybe in the future, for now i'll keep hitting big things with my Doomstalkers and C'tans 😀
I run one in awakened dynasty as my one big anti big thing. I’ve got skorpekhs with a lord and a transcendent ctan but there’s nothing like getting an angle on something big and taking it off the table
I cant justify the Ark over the Doomstalker, they are effectively the same weapon platform for the majority of targets we face for anything that requires Devwounds to get past strong invul there is better options, for example skorpekh destroyers with their high volume of attacks for efficient fishing when taking 3 stalkers you reclaim 165 points vs arks, so you could take 3 Doomstalkers AND a 3man squad of heavy destroyers for less than 3 doomsday arks (15 points spare) thats a net profit on shots, damage and bodies to put to task put another way, for each 1 ap/1 damage lost on an ark trade you can take a heavy destroyer if you are running Awakend dynasty you can use 105pts out of the 165 to take a hexmark with Phasal subjugator to roll with the doomstalkers who will then be hitting on 2's when standing still all that and you are still doing everything else your list was already doing
I thought you can't cumulate [heavy] with the Phasal Subjugator bonus, since both gives you +1 to hit, so +2 in total. It is limited to a total of +1 in the core rules. Am I wrong ?
@@Planet40K oh yeah, sorry i keep forgetting that heavy isn't a penalty on move anymore 🥲 im not a fan of many of the subtle changes they made to 10th , especially when talking necrons anyway i still stand by the Doomstalker vs the ark

Why did you not compare the doomsday stalkers and the seraptek heavy construct aswell?
It was “some comparisons”
It’s not a full on comparison video
These questions are answered truly on the fly.
i use mine with the silent king in awakened dynasty. with the king letting me reroll the 1,s they always do work
Nice

I prefer LHD´s, they are nasty and opponents tend to get distracted by them a lot.
Comparing menhirs rather than doomstalker? Hmmm
IMO doomstalkers are anti elite units. Hit on 4s (3s with heavy) and damage 3
I shoooot big gun has never let me down but I preferably put it next to the silent king for rerolls 1 one hit and wound
