- We've made it to Bali! It's our first full day out exploring and we're heading to the city center of Ubud.
Along the way, we'll grab a bite to eat from a local Warung and try some delectable Balinese food, meet a sweet local family, hire a car to drive us to town, and explore Ubud.
It wasn't exactly what we expected, but as we get acquainted with the way of life here in Bali Indonesia, we're excited to learn more about the culture and meet more of the wonderful people on the island.

We've learned to order a bit ahead of time if we need a ride somewhere and as you mentioned, just be patient haha. We take a motorbike if it's just one of us, but we use a car when taking the kids. The driving is too different still to feel safe with the kids on a bike. Maybe someday 👍🏻

I’ve never been to Bali, one reason why is bc I’ve heard traffic is bad, we prefer to walk but in busier areas it’s not too safe with 3kids, then ride services are mostly bikes, so not easy to get around as a fam of 5. I really appreciate the grab app in Malaysia, so so convenient + affordable! I’m still very curious about Bali tho! I loved Lombok + Sumatra.

We are on our way to Bali in a week or so. Could you maybe walk through a grocery store in ubud? I’m curious about ubud but we are going to kuta area first.
Also do you find ubud to be walkable? I keep seeing reviews that say the city isn’t walkable but you guys seem fine

There are two main grocery stores we visited, both have pretty much anything you need 👍🏻
It's tough. Doable, but not enjoyable. There are many areas where you're forced to walk on the street because the sidewalks are closed or blocked and the streets are always hectic. We'll share more videos in the coming weeks, but it is a challenge with small kids, especially outside the city center.

Nice move Man.., If you want souvenirs, don't buy them from people on the street. they don't have a price list. You can buy it at the gallery or at the souvenir shop (fixed place).

idk what kind of person in their right side of mind said monkey forest isn't worth to visit 😂 well, yes if you expect to see monkey jumping around in the trees like those monkeys in the movie, but if you just came to observation and walkin in the nature with all green surrounding, i think any monkey forest in bali is worth to visit..
I do think it would be worth it. It was cool just to get near and walk around, but getting to go inside and experience the actual forest I imagine would be even better.
