#10 LSU vs Louisiana (INCREDIBLE!) | Baton Rouge Regional Final | 2023 College Softball Highlights

- LSU Softball and Louisiana Softball played in the Baton Rouge Regional Final in the 2023 College Softball Postseason. Louisiana entered with a 2-1 record in the regional, meaning that they would need two consecutive wins to advance to the Super Regionals, while LSU (2-0) only needed 1 win in 2 potential tries to advance.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

The ejection of Clark LSU #25 in second game didn’t surprise me at all. Prior to that, earlier in the same game, she exhibited some behavior that made me think to myself “what a punk”.

@@MrChinesename I’ve coached softball longer than you’ve been alive junior. When I was in Baghdad in uniform you were in dad’s bag in liquid form. Mcneese coaches waited way too long to pull their starter.

Really crazy how different the level of male competition and woman competition is. Guys be making 2 errors and frowned upon when I’ve seen atleast 10 in this video so far.
No it doesn't. This was an abormally poorly defended game. Between two teams not exactly known for their defense. Watch FSU play if you want to see defense.

That game tying HR was clearly fair at 6:39. You can see the ball go inside of the foul pole from that angle

It was. Even ESPN Rally Cap personnel say so. Got to make the foul poles taller to be reviewable...
Put the playback speed on .25 and watch as the ball gets hidden behind the foul pole from that angle. If it were foul you would see it cross in front of the pole or would be directly over it
Watch the lsu fan in the yellow shirt behind the foul pole, best view of anyone and he turns in disgust as he watches the ball go foul.

Because they are girls and the ball is bigger and heavier… they are out grinding and athletes give ‘em some credit

It's one of the few fields built for female athletes. They don't force them like soccer or other copy paste sports to play on the same fields. Only the elite teams field players that can throw from 3rd to first without running towards first to build up momentum to get the ball there.They can't play on a baseball field. These teams are the best in the country that can throw further ect than the smaller colleges. They'd even have trouble on a full size diamond and the distance from the mound would require more scholarships for pitchers and challenging the mechanics of it that isn't worth the revenue it would cause across the sport going all the way down to little league to even try to implement it. The biggest draw of softball is the speed of the game because of the size of the fields. Baseball takes forever to play even if you love it where softball is much faster for causal views which is growing the sport. It's actually a very profitable sport now for the college's more than any other women's sport or on par with women's basketball at the big basketball schools.
