As a Brazilian I am very proud to see the success that Wagner Moura is riding in, he deserves every second of it. And to see him in a table like this, with Forest Whitaker and Paul Giamatti is just phenomenal

I love his description of acting on the body during intense scenes. Amazing how they all agreed and I never thought of that. Can completely understand Heath Ledgers take on his body playing the Joker. Not something the average viewer can grasp.
Shout outs to Wagner Moura for clarifying the whole "Portuguese/Spanish" thing. Too many idiots in America that think both languages are the same or whatever.
nvkulk it does have a strong variation. In Brazil it's called brazilian portuguese. if you hear Portuguese from Portugal and Portuguese from Brazil you are going to think it's two different languages because of the sound
I am really glad that Wagner repeats, in all his interviews that in Brazil we speak Portuguese!
Not hating on Wagner or anything (actually I think he did an amazing job) but Spanish and Portuguese are not that different. In the first episodes you can tell he was brazilian but you can notice his accent fading away as the season was approaching the end.
What an AMAZING table of talent. Wagner Moura is extraordinary in Narco. Especially when you realize that he had to learn how to speak Spanish and gain so much weight. Anyone who watch this, please keep this in mind. I've now a huge fan and have been looking at his work ever since.
As a brazilian fan, to see Wagner Moura sit with this big Hollywood actors is so good man! Wagner gave us back the pride to be brazilian while we are living this complicated moment! Obrigado Wagner!
Nah, he was right, he didn't spoke spanish, because in Brazil they speak Portuguese and you really can tell. But once you get pass that you can enjoy the performance. Also, the spanish was better than any American's try i've ever seen, so kudos to him.
@@nicolemaina6942 Yeah that was awesome as Forrest wasn't that interested in the guy before that moment. I think Forrest understood Wagner's craft more with that detail than in the rest of his explanation.
Bravo..Bravo... That guy..Wagner killed his part, holy shit. I felt like he was still in character of Pablo here, this dude should have won some awards-I know he nominated-and not sure up against who, have to check that out-out of curiosity but, it was a chilling portrayal of Pablo Escobar. I root for the bad guys, but he made you understand and justify the horrors committed by him. But no doubt about it, he was ruthless. But he was also a genius.
I love how we have important and talented actors from Hollywood looking at him so respectfully and admirably. I feel really proud of being from the same country as Wagner Moura. He's a great and talented actor who deserves a lot of recognition and success. ❤
2:30 "Portuguese!" Funny thing Forest Whitaker spoke some Portuguese in "Phenomenon" and it was so hilarious because it was a pretty accurate accent from Portugal. It stayed forever in my mind.
I was born and raised in Brazil, BUT moved to the USA when I was 12 back in 2003. Wagner Moura was not that popular back in 2003, and I was also not allowed to watch that much TV back then. Lots of reasons why I don't know much about him, being a hermit and being half raised somewhere else are the main culprits.
Wow I just got information about that video now, and see Wagner Moura in the same table with these EEUU stars is very aspiring, to see a Top Talent Brazilian in his field to achieve all this worldwide exposition like Neymar, Anitta, Giselle, Santoro, it is really great to watch this video even if it's been 6 years ago.
Oi, Felipe!
Lets just imagine pablo himself is talking snd you gets that feeling for a split second while you’re watching his face while thinking about narcos. And im watching it for the third time while writing this im on second season episode 3 at 44:17 where murphy calls his wife back in miami😂

The translate has a mistake when Wagner meanwhile played Pablo said "plata" it not refers silver he talks about money, some country in South America calls Money like Plata,Lana and etc.
I am an ex-pat Colombian, I honestly hope that Holliwood and other producers would stop the fascination they have with this evil man and consequently, stop feeding the audiences with his fame. I lived through that period in my ho e town and from the bottom of my heart I can say Escobar destroyed more lifes than you could ever imagine, even now, generations of young people following his steps, until when?
They don't put him as a hero in the show. They show him as a cruel and merciless killer, but also show that he had a family and cared for them. This is not manipulation, it's the truth. I think the show was really clear to leave the viewer to judge if he was a bad person or not. Personally, I think he deserved to die.

Victor Bastos Amazing, phenomenal talent on this round table.

Sure but one would assume the people on this table would know the difference.

Juliette Claude such a shitty language, spanish sounds much better.
OJ Simpson and Pablo Escobar in the same table
don't forget Idi Amin
And Mr Robot xD

It's interesting to see how different nationalities view and perform "acting".
Yes.
It's interesting to see how people from different nationalities view and perform "acting".

I've watched the show. I saw it with my eyes. But I hear with my nose
Well deserved for Wagner Moura. I knew him from Elite Squad 1 and 2. Brazil has good actors, directors and screen writers.

well he is better than all of them, but atleast now he got more exposure, elitesquad2, he was epic, i also loved VIP....
Yeah man! Elite Squad 2 is my favorite Wagner's movie.
he is better than others sitting
caralho, olha a mesa que o Wagner Moura tá, que orgulho
Pensei a mesma coisa, Victor!

Simpson e Pablo Escobar estavam realmente sentados juntos
Nobody mentioned this aspect of acting! Wagner is brilliant!!
When he speaks there is a bit of Pablo still in him. What a great guy.🙏
How many people are here after watching Season 2 of Narcos?
Tyler Norton season 1
I'm here after season 1
Mmm I just love his voice, can listen to him all day. All the other actors are enraptured. He's dedicated to his craft and he shows on screen.
Thats why I have dated 2 Brazilians!! I cried when I had to come back to the USA
Ah man I felt like he downplayed himself a little bit there when explaining he didn't speak Spanish, But Rami came to the rescue haha
He always kinda downplays himself. He's a very humble guy.
Nah, he was right, he didn't spoke spanish, because in Brazil they speak Portuguese and you really can tell. But once you get pass that you can enjoy the performance. Also, the spanish was better than any American's try i've ever seen, so kudos to him.

Richie Finestra and Pablo Escobar togheter, now you know you're in trouble

An absolute brilliant performance by Mr. Moura. I've watched his portrayal of Pablo Escobar 5 times along with my Brasilian wife. AMAZING!!!😮
best actor this table
Not nearly as accomplished as Giamatti or Whitaker but a terrific actor nonetheless
Oh come on, that's a great roundtable. Bobby Cannavale for example was absolutely fantastic as the main villain in season 3 of Boardwalk Empire.
Bobby Canavalle with the hard hitting questions.
Elliot and Pablo at the same table , this is what my dreams are made of .
Damn, such a bunch of great actors in that table!
He is so cute to me
he's so fine. Even as Escobar in his 80's sweaters I'm like break me a piece!
His voice is sexy too
He reminds me of John Mayer
Great group of experienced talent; very thought provoking discussion.
Don’t forget how handsome he is .
he deserves the emmy

What a roundtable!!! Acting royalty!
I had no idea Wagner Moura was Brazilian. Mad respect for him, as I'm Brazilian as well. His Spanish was perfect.
How can you be brazilian and not know who Wagner Moura is? Were you in some sort of coma?

Turns me on, to be honest. Gave me a stiffy
Ed Monk when you put it that way then fuck I'm right there with you ;)
Cuba's eyes went bulging when he heard about "that coke."
Wow... he looks even more like Escobar in the interview than in the films
“Body doesn’t know you act”
When Pablo Escobar says "plata" he meant it as a slang for money, but the translation is silver
Just started watching Narcos and he is amazing.
What an absurd actor. He carries out his vocation with excellence... I didn't know he was Brazilian 😮
