@@MadHattersReef spoiler alert, I already had two previous Pearlscale Butterflies at different times and now they're both dead. Maybe third time's a charm but I'll wait for a couple of weeks to a month.
My fav has to be the Copperband. As with all Butterflyfishes, they need to be fed constantly, I recommend clams, oysters, mussels = remove only the flesh and blend them to a pulp and feed the tank with a turkey baster every other day. I find feeding mysis/brine just insufficient especially if you want to fatten them up.

Remember your best affordable reef tank fish? You should make a updated one. Also I have a question what would happen if u add a yellowtail damsel and 2 clown fish in a fish tank at the same time? At my pet store the clown and damsel are relatively small so would they all just be peaceful? Also you should render out your video quality at 1080p60. It would make the fish look a lot nicer and your videos would be super smooth btw!
Can soft corals be kept with butterfly fishes? Like xenia, gsp, leather corals etc. I've heard zoas, mushrooms, gorgonians are unsafe but what about other soft corals
I’m looking to get a few butterflies for my 210 fowlr what should I get with my yellow tang? I have a flame angel and a metallic foxface, any stocking suggestions? I kinda want a main butterfly tank
Update on my tank I got four, raccoon, collare, Auriga, double saddled pacific, it’s my 2nd rodeo with trying to get fish to do well in quarantine, both my Auriga and double saddled died they were very small and probably just from the ocean, I believe a parasite got to them, I treated for flukes, haven’t for ich yet, I’m gonna wait the 7 days… I’ve tried doing water changes a lot so I could clean some of the water, both my raccoon and collare are doing ok as of now, the collare won’t take any food other than baby brine shrimp, and a tiny bit of Nori, he is pretty small but doesn’t eat alot…. I’ve tried garlic, masstick… won’t touch flakes or pellets, won’t eat the hikari marine angel food, not mysis, barely picks at the half shell clams I put in…. Any ideas anyone? Lol

I own one Pearlscale Butterfly fish and I named her "Pearl" since she is so graceful and elegant to look at.

I have soft corals only in my tank. Just curious if they would make them a meal. I know they will eat SPS AND LPS

Not a butterfly....These are all Chaetodon genus.Also horrible survival rate in captivity worse than Copperbands.
