I've sailed a fin keeled 34 and It was a great boat to sail. Loads of space and still some of that small boat feel. I did broach it once coming down between a couple of the islands up north on the west coast of Scotland. Spring tides and High winds. Helm lost any use screwed up to windward and broached for a few seconds. Scary but it came up flapping and we got it under control. Luv and Peace.
@@domothepilot we went with a fin keel Seahawk. Wider aft berth and I liked the heavier displacement. Delivery trip to get her home was in a Force 6. Strong strong boat. The Moody is probably a bit quicker though. Best of luck with your search.
The boat you show teh sugar scoop stern, Salido, is my Dads old boat. We sailed it to France and teh west country a few times. Great boat.

Nice. We went with fin keel westerly in the end. I don't miss twin keels, love the windward track and the feeling of strength in a F8
