Let me try to clarify what the patch notes are saying with the Scarlet Witch buff: Season 0: Chaos Control does 50 HP + 5% of target's max health per second vs. 250 HP Targets = 62.5 dmg/sec vs. 650 HP Targets = 82.5 dmg/sec Season 1: Chaos Control does 60 HP + 3% of target's max health per second vs. 250 HP Targets = 67.5 dmg/sec vs. 650 HP Targets = 79.5 dmg/sec So, she's doing 5 more damage per second to low-HP characters (most Duelists/Strategists) but 3 less damage per second against most Vanguards.
I wish I would’ve seen this comment two minutes ago before I would’ve done this math all on my own lmao. Also, just pointing out that your mouth doesn’t factor in her season damage bonus which they said carries over from season zero. Additionally, they buffed her burst projectile damage by five, giving her essentially 20 extra flat damage across all four of those charge charges. A pretty decent buff! I’m a scarlet and Hawk main, I would’ve liked to see her get some form of invincibility during her ultimate, but I’ll take this

@@qyurryusss theres actually a bug where if you unshield the shield cd takes longer to tick down than usual. To fix it you need to spam roghtclick after u put shield down. Thats what they need to fix.
Very miniscule nerfs, slightly bigger buffs. This is the best route to take on a new game. If you overbuff a character you need to tone it down. If you rework an ability you face the risk of going back and forth with it. All of these notes are perfectly reasonable and Im glad they arent just nerfing strong characters for any other character to take their place in ranked until it stabilizes
I think the patch notes are fine but for a new game bigger buffs is absolutely a worse way to do it. If you have to nerf stuff down people are going to be pissed versus nerfing early where you can buff things that are underperforming later after seeing how things play out.
@@LumpyCrumpets Coming from League/WoW/OW these changes are exactly what i wish every game dev would do Nerfing problems, but not over nerfing (gutting) and buffing somethings, but not over buffing. As well as not rushing to conclusions so soon, especially when they have 4 more characters coming that aren't in yet. If they keep this up they have huge potential.
Hawkeye is still busted. The hitbox on his arrows is just terrible, the nerf will not address how frustrating he is to play against...and Hela js still braindead point and click. Not sure how you can justify such poor changes

We need rocket ult to also drop a bunch of his healing orbs out randomly. The synergy would be awesome cause you could actually take advantage of the damage buff and use your primary fire instead of having to heal your teammates anyways.
And she did get slightly faster too not much but it def helps. I still at leas thinks he should be one kg the fastest in the game she is literally riding a tornado underneath her. At least make her as fast in her base speed as she is in her wind form after popping E
Tbh I dont think she needed much buff. She was amazing as how it was. Probably the most needed "change" on her was the mobility nothing more. Damage was okay, went 27k with her last night.
No mention to Cloak and Dagger’s switch buff. No mention to Venom’s slow buff. No mention to Cap’s sprint buff. Did they put an intern to write these notes?
I wish they'd make venom just feel less janky to play. Being able to swing into wall run smoothly and a jump off of walls like panther to setup the dive would be so good.
The swing is janky. If i could zip to a wall that would be dope with the tap of the swing button. Long reach would be nice. Attaching to the wall is hit or miss
@@bradycampbell5321 I agree, for venom to get easy picks, you have to aim good like 1 perfect hit on the head where all the tentacles hit would be the same as a hela head shot but its hard to aim for most, I hard lock venom so my aim is pretty good with him and it’s easy to get picks

Maybe they could just appropriately change them. The seasonal boosts are just a god-awful practice anyway.
You don't want them to destroy the identity of the character. That's what happened to overwatch, heroes nerfed and changed over and over until they weren't the same hero anymore. No one wants the same thing to happen to this game. The changes make them more vulnerable without changing their gameplay or identity.
Uh that scarlet witch buff is pretty good actually. They upped her base damage and lowered the %hp so so you hit duelist harder. Between right click spam going untargetable and click to win I think shell feel pretty strong w magneto.
People say she takes no skill because of her left click, but a lot of her damage has always come from her right click. And the buff to cthonian burst is only to direct hit damage
The Jeff ultimate change just makes accurate to what you see. Since it was a 10m sphere you basically got grabbed if you weren't literally flying above it and being a sphere still meant even standing outside of it parts of your model or hurtbox could be clipped into it so you'd get grabbed. Its actually a radius now with 5m of height so it'll actually grab as it looks like it would now.
I wish Iron Fist got a slight change regarding flying characters tbh, it feels a little ridiculous trying to fly away from him as Iron Man or Storm just for him to stay in the air right behind you punching you for 30 seconds (exaggerative, but still accurate) straight. At least Storm can deal more damage to him making it slightly less in his favor lol
Literally 😂 it makes absolutely no sense. His tracking auto attack punches shouldn’t defy gravity and take you upwards. The upward movement should be left to his kick and double jump. Also the auto targeting needs to be removed so these iron fist players can start having to actually aim to be rewarded.
C&D doing 4 dashes on their ult makes sense, there have been so many times that I dash forward twice, once back, and end up right in front of the enemy team 😢
They have tools to escape you ending up in that position is fixable. Also you have to handle the ult just like storms. You have to start in “the back” and end up near your team. There’s hidden potential with them I’ve been trying to unlock. Use your phase and be sneaky. Get a good position and fall on the enemy’s head with your ult but make sure you switch to dagger after dephasing. Ult on their feet where your tank ideally is and ult back to your team.
The reason they are saying the Scarlett Witch thing is against Duelist and Strategist is because it reduces her percentage damage while increasing her base damage. Tanks have very high health which makes percentage damage more valuable against them. In practice, you will see the effects of the base damage increase hit squishy characters hard while feeling like you do the same (or possibly slightly less) damage to tanks.
You probably already know this but try aiming the dash ever so slightly to the right of the enemy bc of the 3rd person perspective, i miss a lot too tho
Go into practice tool mode. Set up the practice range and go ham with no cooldowns trying to hit e over and over again. You’ll still miss it but way less
As a loki main i can't complain at all with that 🔥 battlepass skin like honestly i didn't think he was gonna get a new skin for this season let alone a new 🔥 one dang now i gotta swap between that and loki season 2 😂
Venom is amazing. I usually tend to shred enemy healers like butter and get out before they can react. Where he struggles is when people leave him as a solo tank on defence missions. I almost wish his shields somewhat gave his team shields as well. That would help him defend his friendlies a bit.
Spiderman got a very large nerf for his combo damage (overhead slam cancel to uppercut doesn't work anymore) really wish they would mention everything in the patch notes

Projectile damage went from 70 to 75, and as a result if you shoot from 40 meters away, then your bullet does 45 damage as opposed to the old 45.5 damage. No nerf there really at all, assuming the 45.5 didnt round up to 46 previously. Area damage (splash/explosion) going from 70 to 65 is a clear nerf though.
@@Zenthe_it actually says they reduced the damage falloff it’s just straight buffs idk why stylosa can’t read. Instead of a 65% dmg reduction it’s now a 60% dmg reduction at 40m.

@ idk if I completely agree with that statement but even if I did I think it’s always good to play around a characters weaknesses and play towards their strengths. A good example of that is Wolverine. Most people thought he was buns in the beginning until people started playing him differently.
More damage makes up for the lack of mobility so I’ll take it, I won’t have to run if I can combo the Iron Fist dashing 3,000 feet into the air to get me!
@@slipknotneverforget3365 you’re not meant to be a 1v1 duelist though. Ive found success doing poke damage while damage boosting your team. Play around cover. When you do engage and have multiple enemies pop the boosted version of your damage boost. the lightning bolts do a surprising amount of damage and you can actually confirm multiple kills. You can also pop it while protecting your back line. Like other people mentioned with Wolverine, you just gotta adjust the play style.
He is supposed to be a nuisance tank pressure the enemy team to use their abilities poorly to butter them up for his team or just drawing the attention of the healers away from their teammates.
his damage is low but hes so sticky he just keeps punching you and you cant escape without using a cooldown, thats what hes for: making supports use cooldowns and panic
Maybe a slight increase in damage but if you use your combos he can do decent enough damage in a burst to be a threat. The biggest thing is the damn delay in the shield.. that is literally all he really needed. Sure he can get into the fight a little better now but nothing really will change with him until they remove the delay on the shield.
The cooldown is okay for Liberty Rush but they should’ve given him as well a knockback or a 1s stun with his Liberty Rush (Shield Bash) He’s a tank and should have atleast one option for that to push through back lines or push back enemy duelist off your teammates or support. Also to be able to jump with shield and a small basic attack buff (Plus 10)
8:00 Keep in mind folks, if you get Groot + Moon Knight ulted, your whole team is dead even with Luna + Mantis + Cloak Ults stacked. And that was BEFORE this buff. 9:56 Wanda was supposed to be a Tank buster like Wolverine, but be a bit more versatile. What they meant by Duelists and Strategists is that they are increasing the fixed dps and decreasing the %DPS that was the Tank busting variable. Now she just does more damage against everyone and not just Tanks.
yeah honestly i don’t think they’ll be much of a difference on the tanks side. especially with the range she has. the 1v1 to duelist and strategist was needed tho.
Yeah Im a moonknight main, he didn’t need the extra projectiles but the range does help considering all you had to do was stand in a loki totem and you couldn’t die to it because the explosion couldn’t reach high enough to break the totems.
Stay at ground level more, it has piercing so it’ll hit multiple people. If you’re high in the air behind the people you’re hitting it’s usually the ground not another person, these buffs are legit huge

4:27 take away the 15-20% boost and include the falloff damage, she’s fed less of a menace and an increased chance of survival. She’ll have to get closer to get those good shots which will bring her closer to the danger.
as a hawk main I lowkey wished they nerfed him more so he won't get permabanned in diamond +. I think hawk and hela are still getting permabanned in high elo.
Good changes overall I think, nice to see them responding to feedback that some of the heroes needed their seasonal bonuses to even feel good at all and they're incorporating some of those season 0 buffs into the base functionality now.
Could the psylocl 9:30 change actually be a buff? As it could mean it won't target characters who cannot take damage due to having protection, so it will end up attacking other damageable enemies more?
That's one way to look at it. I main psylocke but see it as a nerf from how I understood it. And with invisible woman coming, she could put shields in front of whoever you are about to attack and potentially nullify the damage, making you waste your ult in the process But maybe it is more of a buff, not too sure and we will find out soon enough
Also what I was thinking. Either it’s going to target the shields and we get boned or it won’t target the character with the shield and will strike everything else. Definitely would pray for option 2 😂
I'd say it's almost neither, technically. I mean, nerf because she's not damaging them, yea, but more of a correction. A fully shielded character shouldn't have been taking damage to begin with if it blocks literally everything else.
Cloak and Dagger got another unlisted buff in that you can switch between them slightly faster. Welcome change imo, makes quickly switching to Cloak and using teleport to save yourself and teammates from ults easier, and will probably just feel better too.
Yesssss 🙌🏽 finally! My reaction time has gone up significantly playing this character but still nowhere near as fast as some of the ults like dr or iron man sometimes IF YOURE NOT ALREADY in cloak form. Thank GOD
Nerfing hulk is crazy. It’s not even that his bubble is that strong, it practically explodes instantly already. The only reason hulk is banned is because of his team up with strange and iron man. This makes me incredibly sad.
The nerf will only really affect high elo where those guys are popping shields for their whole team and opponents are actually depleting the shields. At low elo, people don't know when to pop the shield, it's not getting max usage and enemies aren't coming close to 250 damage anyway. So most players won't even notice.
character usage and win rates has been anounced in marvel rivals official website and from that data iron man / hulk team up is not a big deal like people making up especially for iron mans end. I dont think hulk nerf have nothing to do with iron man team up
There’s no way bro said Venom didn’t need a buff 😭 Straight up silver take lmao. Venom is utter garbage in comparison with the other tanks and these buffs will likely not even change that at all. They buffed his capacity to be a damage sponge and BARELY TOUCHED the worst part of his kit, which is the ult. And it’s insulting that they didn’t even buff the slow of Cellular Corrosion, which is ass and any competent player can just walk out of it. With the new buffs, even Cap might be better than him at this point.
@ Venom was played ONCE by extremely highly coordinated teams at the very beginning of the game, because people hadn’t figured out that the other tanks were much better. He’s not TRASH in a vacuum, but he 100% is compared to the other tanks. The only worse tank is Cap, for obvious reasons. And even that might change with his new buffs.
Dude thank you. I thought I was taking crazy pills when he said he didn't need them. I think he still needs more but I'm willing to wait and see before I request more changes. But getting stunned before you can E just means you die. Cellular corrosion doesn't ground targets, so you can't stop any even semi mobile characters from getting out of it and the slow is just so miniscule that you can walk out anyways... Definitely needs more to be a proper dive threat
His ult is bad. What he needed is also a nerf to his akh. Range and damage on that thing is insane. And a lot of the time you dont even have time to destroy it before he kills you out of nowhere.

Extra health on wolverine is scary. I already bully the crap out of tanks & supports with him, and He gets a huge auto heal from his passive. Good DPS players can stop wolvie pretty easily with HS damage, but a good wolvie should stay away from good Dps heroes when they're focusing him down anyway. 🤷♂️ If anything on wolverine needs to be fixed, it's his ultimate. When he hits players up, he should be jumping up higher than them, and he should have a slightly wider window where they can't escape with movement abilities, so he can bring them down with him more consistently. Getting good value out of his ultimate at this point is challenging. I think they should buff the ultimate in those ways, & slow down it's charge rate a bit.
I was hoping for a buff to his feral leap to just make it more consistent. Too many times getting right into a Hulk's armpit and somehow soaring over his head. One time even happened with Monster Hulk.

Nerf to Black Panther was too much. He's a high risk character that has to put himself in danger to go for kills. It's only right the healing should be good. 120-75 is absurd.
you not being able to breathe as a support player is not going to change because of these changes, since the panther is still able to burst you down after you play poorly, which is why you keep dying to everything
@@warrior728 i read it as neither a buff or a nerf in totality, it seems like it will try to ignore barriered people in the same way a bunch of other abilities get cucked by them, but still allows her damage to go onto ones that are unprotected. it allows people to get more bang for buck out of shielding important targets, but also wastes less of psylocke's damage. i think in the end it will be a slight buff most of the time because magneto will shield himself and another person etc and her damage will be more focused.
I honestly hate that they give people seasonal boosts. It's just an unnecessary layer for the game. Just remove them and give them normal damage numbers so people don't have to re-learn everyone's damage/tankyness every season. Also hawkeye needed a way more heavy handed nerf. They gave him a love tap that's not going to stop him from 2 shotting me as thor before I ever get to him.
The wolverine change is a little weird, he has more normal health, yes, but you're weaker when using his reduction ability. Season 0: 300hp w/ 50% red. =600ehp Season 1: 350hp w/ 40% red. =583ehp

Hi Stylosa! First of all, ty for showcasing the changes. I have seen a Cloak and Dagger change in someone's stream that isn't included in the patch notes. The ability to change between the two characters had a much shorter animation which is a really huge buff in my opinion. Since you have the early access, can you confirm this to be true?
All seems legit but I think storms biggest thing was her movement and maybe have an arch lighting attack not tied to Thor or a rain storm to slow an area
I was looking for a comment addressing the BP nerf. He’s already a hard character to play and his survivability relies solely on his dash, which is literally bugged right now. So I don’t understand this nerf.

Caps shild is extremelly important to his play style, he does not deal a ton of damage but using the shield to cloase the distace and watching players panick and start shooting the shield causing almost half their hp gone is so op honestly, i get it with the cool down.
idk chief. Venom was REALLY mid in higher tier lobbies. Stun him when he's about to E and then delete him... He really needs this buff. In fact he might need more, but I'm willing to see how this works out before asking for more
This buff won't do anything against mantis' and lunas who save cc for Venom's E. They will wait for Venom to get low and try to stun them before the press E, then kill them while they are stunned. E can heal for 10000000 hp, if you're CC'd you can't use it. This problem is not with CC, but Venom's E. The ability itself is flawed, and needs a rework. The issue is that venom gets rewarded with more shields if he has less health, encouraging him to feed for no good reason.
Cap needed a damage buff, the changes are good but not enough. He has trouble damaging the backline through heals and that is the whole purpose of the hero
the purpose is to distract the healers from healing their tanks to heal themselves so your team can kill their tanks. i swear if people don’t feel like the main character then they don’t understand any impact
as an actual wolverine player the health in exchange for 10 whole % of the only ability that lets him not get 1 tapped is super bad and heres why there is no "basic combat strength" like they claim in the patch notes, on wolverine you pop undying animal, go to grab their biggest tank, whether you grab them or not the next step is get out, then wait for your cooldowns to come back. if you're engaging in "basic combat" as wolverine, you're playing him wrong, he has the attack range of helen keller you dont just walk at them and pray so with basic combat not existing on wolverine, they basically just took 10% of his survivability away, 99 times out of 100 if you DONT have undying animal active and you can see their team its bc you're watching the killcam, wolverine EXPLODES when that ability isnt active but at the same time, i really hope this makes wolverine worse so he doesnt get perm banned and i get to play my hero, so im okay with this change, it just really irks me the way they worded their reasoning and makes it seem like the change makes him better bc basic combat literally is a foreign concept to wolverine at a high level and this is strictly a nerf
Yep. At best it seems like backhanded "buff". I was hoping foe hit box detection on leap to be better. Maybe a few seconds off the leap. Then maybe a small speed boost when fully breserked. Finally a damage balance so Im not useless outside of tank killing. Feels a touch to niche.
It’s not “super bad”. It reduces your effective health from 600 to 584 during undying, which only last 5 seconds, for an extra 50 health while on cooldown. It will be very rare that the extra 16 health while undying would have saved you, but the basic 16% health increase will save you pretty often.
@@ImKaboose Yeah but your math are not mathing... 50% damage reduction multiply your health by 1.5 not 2... So 300×1.5=450 effective health. And 350×1.4=490 effective health. So it's a straight buff on use AND on cooldown.
Things I’d change about Cap: - make it where his shield is a toggle - be able to attack and use other abilities when shield is up besides the dash - be able to use shield while in the air - lower cd’s holy shit

Ultimate for Psylocke is a buff. The abilities like magnetos bubble and hulks nullify her damage which is a complete waste when another target is on the board. Both abilities also take on benifits for those characters when they are attacked. Hulks being insane because it charges his ultimate heavily. Magneto also charges up his damage for his gimmick knock back attack.
its a nerf and a good one. she will hit barriers now and thats the whole point of them. youre supposed to solo ult or use your ult on 2 people as psy and it used to ignore barries meaning even if you poped it in a team and hulk shields like 3 itll still kill 2 or 3. now she cant. giving an ult counter play is a good thing no matter what
Storm buffs are good, but still wanted to see more. Cool the attack moves faster but still does abysmal damage long range which puts her in an awkward mid to close range spot as a flyer
Wolverine buff sucks assss I’ve been so hype the pass couple days waiting to see the details of the buff but this was just a huge letdown :/ I was expecting his healing factor to get a buff
I think these buffs are a good start and should help smooth over alot of the problems. We should be seeing more variety of picks with this patch too. I'm personally curious to see how much of a menace the squirrel tsunami will be now that it tracks heros each bounce rather than being random. Lower ranked Players tend to ignore shootables so squirrel girl will probably be a big nightmare at lower ELOs
I think that’s a buff or balance to Psylocke’s ult, hear me out: When she ults a group of enemies, the higher HP heroes take hits that would’ve killed lower HP heroes. If she’s avoiding shielded heroes, she would go after unshielded ones. So a second strike that might’ve gone into a hero that wouldn’t die, might now kill an unshielded hero.
That's literally the opposite of how it works. Psylock's ult would previously ignore barriers. Now it checks for them and she'll waste an attack on a character with a barrier. It's a nerf.
They did it just because the %0.001 of playerbase gone crazy with him and it's just stupid. They could've made him easier to use by reducing his cooldowns 1-2 seconds or one more charge to his dash so missing one dash wouldn't be the end of the world every time.
There are so many minor mechanics tho that it's hard to make a proper in depth video, like for instance hulks shield blocks Jeffs ult completely, hulk can cancel some ults like Luna snow completely with just a little bit of timing, and the only way to move a transforming hulk is Sue Storms push/pull ability but only the pull (so far)
I really hope some game comes out that actually cookes OW but MR isnt it. This game runs worse than Fortnite, and feels like a 2012 engine. Let the honeymoon phase pass and we will see.
I was SUPER worried that they would remove that 15% damage buff for Magik, very happy that they aren't removing it yet. When they do though Magik's current combos will be irrelevant so that's kind of sad
Buffs and nerfs right now are difficult to evaluate because of the entire seasonal bonus thingy. That's what they need to remove first, and then we can get a better understanding of how powerful certain characters are.

I think one of the lacks of Scarlet Witch is that his ult can be dodged so easily or getting Kilt before unleashing it I would change her ult +10% more speed when she's casting her ult -15% time casting the ult I think that would make her ult more comfortable and it would give her less time to react to the enemy. What do you think guys?

Very miniscule nerfs, slightly bigger buffs. This is the best route to take on a new game. If you overbuff a character you need to tone it down. If you rework an ability you face the risk of going back and forth with it. All of these notes are perfectly reasonable and Im glad they arent just nerfing strong characters for any other character to take their place in ranked until it stabilizes
I think the patch notes are fine but for a new game bigger buffs is absolutely a worse way to do it. If you have to nerf stuff down people are going to be pissed versus nerfing early where you can buff things that are underperforming later after seeing how things play out.

Tbh I dont think she needed much buff. She was amazing as how it was. Probably the most needed "change" on her was the mobility nothing more. Damage was okay, went 27k with her last night.

You don't want them to destroy the identity of the character. That's what happened to overwatch, heroes nerfed and changed over and over until they weren't the same hero anymore. Uh that scarlet witch buff is pretty good actually. They upped her base damage and lowered the %hp so so you hit duelist harder. Between right click spam going untargetable and click to win I think shell feel pretty strong w magneto.
People say she takes no skill because of her left click, but a lot of her damage has always come from her right click.

As a scarlet main I'll take it. Makes the DPS pick in diamond more viable. Sad she didn't get a 0,5-1 sec reduction in the ult start up.
The Jeff ultimate change just makes accurate to what you see. Since it was a 10m sphere you basically got grabbed if you weren't literally flying above it and being a sphere still meant even standing outside of it parts of your model or hurtbox could be clipped into it so you'd get grabbed. Its actually a radius now with 5m of height so it'll actually grab as it looks like it would now.

Literally 😂 it makes absolutely no sense. His tracking auto attack punches shouldn’t defy gravity and take you upwards. The upward movement should be left to his kick and double jump. Also the auto targeting needs to be removed so these iron fist players can start having to actually aim to be rewarded.

C&D doing 4 dashes on their ult makes sense, there have been so many times that I dash forward twice, once back, and end up right in front of the enemy team 😢

They have tools to escape you ending up in that position is fixable. Also you have to handle the ult just like storms. You have to start in “the back” and end up near your team.
There’s hidden potential with them I’ve been trying to unlock. Use your phase and be sneaky. Get a good position and fall on the enemy’s head with your ult but make sure you switch to dagger after dephasing. Ult on their feet where your tank ideally is and ult back to your team.
It’s going to make them basically invincible if u stack them all lol.

The reason they are saying the Scarlett Witch thing is against Duelist and Strategist is because it reduces her percentage damage while increasing her base damage. Tanks have very high health which makes percentage damage more valuable against them. In practice, you will see the effects of the base damage increase hit squishy characters hard while feeling like you do the same (or possibly slightly less) damage to tanks.

Venom is amazing. I usually tend to shred enemy healers like butter and get out before they can react. Where he struggles is when people leave him as a solo tank on defence missions. I almost wish his shields somewhat gave his team shields as well. That would help him defend his friendlies a bit.
Spiderman got a very large nerf for his combo damage (overhead slam cancel to uppercut doesn't work anymore) really wish they would mention everything in the patch notes

@@BigSteppa42069 no it definitely got stronger. Projectile damage went from 70 to 75, and as a result if you shoot from 40 meters away, then your bullet does 45 damage as opposed to the old 45.5 damage. No nerf there really at all, assuming the 45.5 didnt round up to 46 previously.
Area damage (splash/explosion) going from 70 to 65 is a clear nerf though.

We're still gonna get slaughtered in a 1v1 situation, lack of mobility was the biggest issue I always feel.
@ idk if I completely agree with that statement but even if I did I think it’s always good to play around a characters weaknesses and play towards their strengths. A good example of that is Wolverine. Most people thought he was buns in the beginning until people started playing him differently.
More damage makes up for the lack of mobility so I’ll take it, I won’t have to run if I can combo the Iron Fist dashing 3,000 feet into the air to get me!
@@slipknotneverforget3365 you’re not meant to be a 1v1 duelist though. Ive found success doing poke damage while damage boosting your team. Play around cover. When you do engage and have multiple enemies pop the boosted version of your damage boost. the lightning bolts do a surprising amount of damage and you can actually confirm multiple kills. You can also pop it while protecting your back line. Like other people mentioned with Wolverine, you just gotta adjust the play style.

He is supposed to be a nuisance tank pressure the enemy team to use their abilities poorly to butter them up for his team or just drawing the attention of the healers away from their teammates.

Maybe a slight increase in damage but if you use your combos he can do decent enough damage in a burst to be a threat.
The biggest thing is the damn delay in the shield.. that is literally all he really needed. Sure he can get into the fight a little better now but nothing really will change with him until they remove the delay on the shield.
The cooldown is okay for Liberty Rush but they should’ve given him as well a knockback or a 1s stun with his Liberty Rush (Shield Bash) He’s a tank and should have atleast one option for that to push through back lines or push back enemy duelist off your teammates or support. Also to be able to jump with shield and a small basic attack buff (Plus 10)
8:00 Keep in mind folks, if you get Groot + Moon Knight ulted, your whole team is dead even with Luna + Mantis + Cloak Ults stacked.

9:56 Wanda was supposed to be a Tank buster like Wolverine, but be a bit more versatile. What they meant by Duelists and Strategists is that they are increasing the fixed dps and decreasing the %DPS that was the Tank busting variable. Now she just does more damage against everyone and not just Tanks.

Yeah Im a moonknight main, he didn’t need the extra projectiles but the range does help considering all you had to do was stand in a loki totem and you couldn’t die to it because the explosion couldn’t reach high enough to break the totems.

Could the psylocl 9:30 change actually be a buff? As it could mean it won't target characters who cannot take damage due to having protection, so it will end up attacking other damageable enemies more?
That's one way to look at it. I main psylocke but see it as a nerf from how I understood it. And with invisible woman coming, she could put shields in front of whoever you are about to attack and potentially nullify the damage, making you waste your ult in the process
But maybe it is more of a buff, not too sure and we will find out soon enough

I'd say it's almost neither, technically. I mean, nerf because she's not damaging them, yea, but more of a correction. A fully shielded character shouldn't have been taking damage to begin with if it blocks literally everything else.
Also, I don't know if it means she'll avoid them as much as just pass through with no damage. But we'll see soon enough.

Cloak and Dagger got another unlisted buff in that you can switch between them slightly faster. Welcome change imo, makes quickly switching to Cloak and using teleport to save yourself and teammates from ults easier, and will probably just feel better too.

The nerf will only really affect high elo where those guys are popping shields for their whole team and opponents are actually depleting the shields. At low elo, people don't know when to pop the shield, it's not getting max usage and enemies aren't coming close to 250 damage anyway. So most players won't even notice.
character usage and win rates has been anounced in marvel rivals official website and from that data iron man / hulk team up is not a big deal like people making up especially for iron mans end. I dont think hulk nerf have nothing to do with iron man team up

But getting stunned before you can E just means you die. Cellular corrosion doesn't ground targets, so you can't stop any even semi mobile characters from getting out of it and the slow is just so miniscule that you can walk out anyways... Definitely needs more to be a proper dive threat

Good DPS players can stop wolvie pretty easily with HS damage, but a good wolvie should stay away from good Dps heroes when they're focusing him down anyway. 🤷♂️
If anything on wolverine needs to be fixed, it's his ultimate. When he hits players up, he should be jumping up higher than them, and he should have a slightly wider window where they can't escape with movement abilities, so he can bring them down with him more consistently. Getting good value out of his ultimate at this point is challenging. I think they should buff the ultimate in those ways, & slow down it's charge rate a bit.
I was hoping for a buff to his feral leap to just make it more consistent.

I think the Hela nerf is quite significant. Divers will be able to take her out much quicker and easier
divers are typically at close range, meaning her falloff isn't in play. She will still 2 tap squishies.

Hi Stylosa! First of all, ty for showcasing the changes. I have seen a Cloak and Dagger change in someone's stream that isn't included in the patch notes. The ability to change between the two characters had a much shorter animation which is a really huge buff in my opinion. Since you have the early access, can you confirm this to be true?

I was looking for a comment addressing the BP nerf. He’s already a hard character to play and his survivability relies solely on his dash, which is literally bugged right now. So I don’t understand this nerf.

Everything sounds good except the black panther nerf
Caps shild is extremelly important to his play style, he does not deal a ton of damage but using the shield to cloase the distace and watching players panick and start shooting the shield causing almost half their hp gone is so op honestly, i get it with the cool down.
idk chief. Venom was REALLY mid in higher tier lobbies. Stun him when he's about to E and then delete him... He really needs this buff. In fact he might need more, but I'm willing to see how this works out before asking for more
This buff won't do anything against mantis' and lunas who save cc for Venom's E. They will wait for Venom to get low and try to stun them before the press E, then kill them while they are stunned.
E can heal for 10000000 hp, if you're CC'd you can't use it.
This problem is not with CC, but Venom's E. The ability itself is flawed, and needs a rework.
The issue is that venom gets rewarded with more shields if he has less health, encouraging him to feed for no good reason.

Cap needed a damage buff, the changes are good but not enough. He has trouble damaging the backline through heals and that is the whole purpose of the hero

the purpose is to distract the healers from healing their tanks to heal themselves so your team can kill their tanks. i swear if people don’t feel like the main character then they don’t understand any impact

as an actual wolverine player the health in exchange for 10 whole % of the only ability that lets him not get 1 tapped is super bad and heres why
there is no "basic combat strength" like they claim in the patch notes, on wolverine you pop undying animal, go to grab their biggest tank, whether you grab them or not the next step is get out, then wait for your cooldowns to come back. if you're engaging in "basic combat" as wolverine, you're playing him wrong, he has the attack range of helen keller you dont just walk at them and pray
so with basic combat not existing on wolverine, they basically just took 10% of his survivability away, 99 times out of 100 if you DONT have undying animal active and you can see their team its bc you're watching the killcam, wolverine EXPLODES when that ability isnt active
but at the same time, i really hope this makes wolverine worse so he doesnt get perm banned and i get to play my hero, so im okay with this change, it just really irks me the way they worded their reasoning and makes it seem like the change makes him better bc basic combat literally is a foreign concept to wolverine at a high level and this is strictly a nerf

I was hoping foe hit box detection on leap to be better.
Maybe a few seconds off the leap.
Then maybe a small speed boost when fully breserked.
Finally a damage balance so Im not useless outside of tank killing. Feels a touch to niche.
It’s not “super bad”. It reduces your effective health from 600 to 584 during undying, which only last 5 seconds, for an extra 50 health while on cooldown. It will be very rare that the extra 16 health while undying would have saved you, but the basic 16% health increase will save you pretty often.

50% damage reduction multiply your health by 1.5 not 2...
So 300×1.5=450 effective health.
And 350×1.4=490 effective health.
So it's a straight buff on use AND on cooldown.

Things I’d change about Cap:
- make it where his shield is a toggle
- be able to attack and use other abilities when shield is up besides the dash
- be able to use shield while in the air
- lower cd’s holy shit

Ultimate for Psylocke is a buff. The abilities like magnetos bubble and hulks nullify her damage which is a complete waste when another target is on the board. Both abilities also take on benifits for those characters when they are attacked. Hulks being insane because it charges his ultimate heavily. Magneto also charges up his damage for his gimmick knock back attack.
its a nerf and a good one. she will hit barriers now and thats the whole point of them. youre supposed to solo ult or use your ult on 2 people as psy and it used to ignore barries meaning even if you poped it in a team and hulk shields like 3 itll still kill 2 or 3. now she cant. giving an ult counter play is a good thing no matter what

Storm buffs are good, but still wanted to see more. Cool the attack moves faster but still does abysmal damage long range which puts her in an awkward mid to close range spot as a flyer
Wolverine buff sucks assss I’ve been so hype the pass couple days waiting to see the details of the buff but this was just a huge letdown :/ I was expecting his healing factor to get a buff
I think these buffs are a good start and should help smooth over alot of the problems.
We should be seeing more variety of picks with this patch too.
I'm personally curious to see how much of a menace the squirrel tsunami will be now that it tracks heros each bounce rather than being random.
Lower ranked Players tend to ignore shootables so squirrel girl will probably be a big nightmare at lower ELOs
I think that’s a buff or balance to Psylocke’s ult, hear me out:
When she ults a group of enemies, the higher HP heroes take hits that would’ve killed lower HP heroes. If she’s avoiding shielded heroes, she would go after unshielded ones. So a second strike that might’ve gone into a hero that wouldn’t die, might now kill an unshielded hero.
Nerf: psylocke's ult doesn't hit enemies outside of circle
That's literally the opposite of how it works. Psylock's ult would previously ignore barriers. Now it checks for them and she'll waste an attack on a character with a barrier. It's a nerf.
I feel storm needed better mobility, but the projectile speed does help for more consistent damage
Nerfing black panther is crazy.
They did it just because the %0.001 of playerbase gone crazy with him and it's just stupid. They could've made him easier to use by reducing his cooldowns 1-2 seconds or one more charge to his dash so missing one dash wouldn't be the end of the world every time.
He was the strongest melee character in game, it's deserved
There are so many minor mechanics tho that it's hard to make a proper in depth video, like for instance hulks shield blocks Jeffs ult completely, hulk can cancel some ults like Luna snow completely with just a little bit of timing, and the only way to move a transforming hulk is Sue Storms push/pull ability but only the pull (so far)
Good changes and i have faith in this game unlike the other game
at least the "other game" runs smooth unlike that disaster of an engine that feels like a 2012 game engine. Game looks good, plays like ass.

I was SUPER worried that they would remove that 15% damage buff for Magik, very happy that they aren't removing it yet. When they do though Magik's current combos will be irrelevant so that's kind of sad
The Wolverine changes are a nerf, disguised as a buff.
Buffs and nerfs right now are difficult to evaluate because of the entire seasonal bonus thingy. That's what they need to remove first, and then we can get a better understanding of how powerful certain characters are.

I think one of the lacks of Scarlet Witch is that his ult can be dodged so easily or getting Kilt before unleashing it I would change her ult
+10% more speed when she's casting her ult
-15% time casting the ult

They need to buff Iron Man's Repulsor Blast AND nerf his Unibeam.
