Biggest lesson i learnt in 2024 in the stock market is that nobody knows what is going to happen next, so practice some humility and low a strategy with a long term edge.
Nobody knows anything; You need to create your own process, manage risk, and stick to the plan, through thick or thin, While also continuously learning from mistakes and improving.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

I started stacking to SAVE wealth. I've always been the type of person to spend my entire paycheck. I hate having money just sit in the bank. I am under pressure to grow my reserve of $750k. before I turn 60, I would appreciate any advice on potential investments.
Find quality stocks that have long term potential, and ride with those stocks. I have found it takes someone who is very familiar with the market to make such good picks.

The continuously changing economic conditions in our society have made it necessary for people to find additional sources of income, thus I am looking at the stock market to fuel my retirement goal of $3m, my only concern is the recent market crash.
Every collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass wealth amid economy crisis, and even pull it off easily in favorable conditions. That should be the least of your concern. Also explore the option of working with a CFA to reduce greatly your chances of loss. `
You're right, I and a few Neighbors in Bel Air Area work with an Inveestment Adviser who prefers we DCA across other prospective sectors instead of a lump sum purchase. As a result, my portf0lio has recorded significant improvement even during the most unfavorable market season. `

With financial and political mechanisms being established by key BRICS members, already circumventing Western institutions one is scared of what to do with his finances. The value of the dollar might fall in the nearest future and I am clueless about how the stocck market works. I really don't know what to do.
Just like the guest on the show said, ''Nothing has been this great since the creation of the S&P index which made it easy for people to invest in all of the 500 company all at once'' This is going to be a great year so all i will tell you to do is keep your foot on the door so you can buy at the right time. Also if you have very little time, then get you an FA.
Yeah you are 1000 percent correct. The success you make in the market is majorly dependent on who guides you and in some cases who you copy your trades from. I have in the past 6 months been able to double my incomes from a 5 figure to 6 and it can only get better from there.

Coming out of facing alot, I knew two things about the stock market: It caused the Great Depression, and the fastest way to make a million on the markets was to start with two million. And then the Great Recession happened only a few years later. So yeah, I wish someone had better explained it to me earlier in life. Having a good entry and exit strategy will make you succeed in the stock market.

The only American who won't acknowledge this Administration's failed economic policies is Joe Biden. "Shrink-flation' is the least of our worries compared to rising rents and stagnant wages, but it is an undeniable indicator of how bad our inflation has gotten. I have $100k that i like to invest in a non-retirement account, any advice on that?

Every collapse has a corresponding market opportunity. I have witnessed people accumulate wealth during economic downturns and even do it with ease in favourable circumstances provided they are well-informed and prepared beforehand. You shouldn't be too worried about that. To significantly lower your chances of losing money, consider working with a CFA as well.

I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst
Would love to see you address future occurring risks and how you handle these situations yourself. As for me, I can't figure buying into moat heavy, cash flow grantors, buy on dips, and add as they drop, and enjoy the bull markets when they happen.
I need the market to go down some anyway. The small pullback at the beginning of the month wasn't enough. Many are overpriced now and buffet sold his. I was looking for a rough setback as I am eager to capitalize on the market.

I am from India. Printing money is a great business for the US. You know who suffers? it's the 3rd world net exporting countries that suffer the most. Why? On an average, it costs 0.17 cents to print a 100 dollar bill. The US imports 100 dollars worth of goods and services for 17 cents. China, Japan, India etc have billions of American dollar reserves. In order to maintain dollar parity India had to build 700 billion dollar reserves, under normal circumstances this money would be in circulation. Today India faces US exported inflation and US exported liquidity issues. China is buying gold instead of increasing American dollar reserves. Bottom line, irresponsible printing is hurting several countries and not limited to low and middle income Americans
I was low income in 2008 and am still low income. If it wasn't for the NINJA loans back in '08, I wouldn't have a house today. My mortgage payment was and still is $500 a month and my rent was $800 a month. Actually i'm pretty confused as to what the people did who supposedly couldn't afford their mortgages in '08, did they end up renting and somehow qualifying for higher rent payments than their mortgage was, weird.
@@venkag do you think that "money printing" is literally printing paper dollars? lol this isnt 1905. Also, you are conflating the group of people who print money with US importers

Yep, same way if important people are saying this stock is a good buy, run for life and sell what you have. Once it falls buy again. Do what the rich do.
I’m a god of devaluation, I buy it and it goes down! Why I can't make earnings is beyond me. It can be annoying how volatile the market is. How can I ride this fresh wave of all-time highs without getting burned again with $450k set aside to get fully invested in the last quarter of this year?

This was from the podcast with PBD 10 months ago. I would guess the reason Tom reposted this is because PBD gives a 10 month span on when the recession would start. He proposes that the Fed expected the interest rate hike to lead to economic contraction in August 2024 and rate would start getting lowered. The interesting point is that the Fed most likely WILL start easing this month so he was close. Don't be mad about reposts you nerds. The info is still valuable.
I think he re uploaded because the fed is lowering rates soon, and Patrick alluded that them lowering the rates could trigger the reverse market collapse, so I see it as a like preemptive post.

the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.

I just googled her and I'm really impressed with her credentials; I reached out to her since I need all the assistance I can get. I just scheduled a caII.
Its worse here, our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyperinflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.
I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value. I would be happy if you could advise me based on how you went about yours, as I am ready to go the passive income path.!!

My pops owned his house in Riverside for 26 years, the bank still defaulted on him rather than work with him in 2008 when his textile company went under. Anytime the government gets involved to “Help”, it goes left, period.
We're due for a 95 percent stock market crash. The U.S. stock market is the world's biggest ponzi far worse than the Chinese housing ponzi before it crashed.
@@littlehomeforest5972 Even at this late stage I am not qualified to answer. I would say to watch closely how the governments react with time. If people dump national currencies to escape inflation and businesses universally accept bitcoin for transactions then laws will be passed to inhibit bitcoin use. The Western world governments are in a debt trap. The only way out is money printing. The day they stop printing money is the day they default and make their currency worthless. So bitcoin will not be allowed to become a major tool of business until the debt forces countries into hyperinflation and defaults. Then bitcoin and gold will excel. But think about when taking on debt makes sense. Investments should bring progress and productivity, if it does then inflation goes down. The trick is how it’s balanced and is it real. If it’s all financial transactions and money printing you get the false economy we have now. Real progress like computers, internet, space, etc.. Watch M2 over time and the percentage of social benefit payments vs total tax revenue. It becomes a discernment not a judgement. Warren Buffet is good because of his intuition not his intelligence. 5 years ago the experts were ranting to buy T-bills at 2% because they were the only safe thing left. Last year those same bonds lost 40% of value because the Fed raised interest rates on T-bills by 100%. The experts never looked forward to a day when rates would go up, they figure 0 % forever.

Crypto is risky as many would say but I think the actual risk in Crypto is not investing, buying the capitulation isn't a tough call, but it is a very tough call to figure out what to do aside holding. I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with 10k and I’m up with 128k in a short period of time

Exactly right. Pay the debt of and you are independent of these non-contributors to society. Video was super interesting and precisely stated information but only applicable to the top 22% of citizens. Not relevant at all to the 78%, who are only impacted by the outcomes of this focus on the upper middle class and above. For example stating unemployment as 3.88%, while accurate for the purposes of calculating the impact and outcomes of these Machiavellian skirmishes, has nothing to do with the applicable results to the vast majority. Ignoring these backroom/day trader/self-interested activities, the majority can simply contribute to society instead, conservatively secure their assets via the retention of assets independent of these manipulative systems. Unemployment is ~22.4 % when looked at from a non-financial impact.
People that remember and share what they remember about the economy are so valuable to us. Not people stuck in scholarly research... people who just plain remember the patterns and share them.
Old content- but he’s just telling you to prepare- the time frame they spoke about in this clip is coming up. He’s warning you that shits about to go crazy these next months. Mentally and spiritually prepare yourself

The market, whether in recession or not, will always be positive to shrewd investors. You just have to know your way around the market. The recent Fed cut is a big advantage also that any serious person will take advantage of. No better time to let the economy work for you than now.
Same thing I keep saying. Choose quality stocks and follow them up keenly. If you're not one for such complexities, then work with an Adviser to grow your portf0lio. You can't go wrong with a seasoned CFA. Things will become bullish in no time and the diligent inveestors will smile to the bank. Don't forget the last quarter of the year is upon us.

I'll just say this. Shipping is a strong indicator to follow. It's like the 'pulse' of the economy, since just about everything grown, mined, manufactured or or otherwise created has to move from it's origin to a market. We've had one LTL company suddenly fold in the last 18 months. And shipping volume is creeping down.
Recessions are part of the economic cycle, all you can do is make sure you're prepared and plan accordingly. I graduated into a recession (2009). My 1st job after college was aerial acrobat on cruise ships. Today I'm a VP at a global company, own 3 rental properties, invest in stocks and biz, built my own business, and have my net worth increase by $500k in the last 4 years.
Let's face it... buying more stocks & index funds during stock market corrections and bear markets is scary. Which makes it really hard to do for most people like me. I have 260k I want to transfer into an s&p but its hard to bite the bullet and do it.
i was telling people just after 2008 crash that this what your talking of now was coming back then , diving deep down rabbit holes has served me well personally ,knowing what being planned in advance is beneficial especially financially , the real problem i learned was people like remaining deaf /ignorant thats the human aspect i learned from the rabbit hole , i spoke with whats called an elite ( a good one) and he gave advice back then to me that said if you do only one thing going forward it was to get out of debt asap which i did just recently , now i sit on the sidelines waiting for that 50 to 80% real estate crash with cash to buy up on the cheap while everyone else thinks property is just going to keep going up , what goes up always comes down
The saying of "what goes up, always comes down" applies to gravity only. Odds are prices of real estate continue to trend up over time. But you do you.. Many doomers have been calling for a crash for over a decade in certain markets... only to be priced out forever in that market. All the best!
I Hit 110k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started last month 2024. His idea on asking Vegas cab and Uber drivers is a game changer. Everywhere I go in the world, I do this and learn so much. These guys don't realise how big an asset they are to future projections. I went to Dubai recently and was concerned that this was the first year that I had seen so much traffic going into the centre which was a definite reason not to buy property or at least not get a hotel far from the centre. However, the taxi driver also told me that they can build a bridge in days to weeks in comparison to the UK where that would take years. He wakes up in the morning and a new road is built! Guess what, automatically, Dubai is not off the list!
Same in SE Asia, they work day and night on roadworks in the toughest conditions, and get entire highways / bridges built in weeks. In our countries it can drag on for years.
Jim Rogers I was a famous investor, and he went literally all over the world. When he would end up in some random sketchy nation, the first thing he would do is go talk to prostitutes, because they always knew what was going on. They always knew if dignitaries and people were in town, and I think you know why. They had the real scoop on who is in town and why. He didn't want to talk to some self-serving Jackalope who thought he knew everything. He wanted to talk to the people who are right there on the ground who have no agenda.
A lot of Dubai's reasons for quick builds is down to abusing workers from other countries? Like yeah, amazing you built quick but at great cost to others. Who's to say in a few decades it will last? Dubai (and others in the area) are doing this out of pure panic for their economic future.

He actually predicted the recession to hit last month, which ended up just being a correction and barely that at just 10%. The other thing Pat mentions is that was one option and the other being he is wrong because we never had interest rates fly up so fast in a short period. He ended up being wrong for August but now who knows, maybe the anomaly is just delayed by a couple months due to the new issue with rising rates never happening so fast like they did.
OMG.... this also explains... our.. situation on pay too here in the UK. And the so called "Gig economy" people... Which is pointless ! And stupid !....
The whole talk about "reverse" market crash (real estate and stock market) basically argues that we are nowhere near done with inflation and that we might actually experience "hyperinflation" in the near future combined with accelerating poverty levels across the nation or going thru a historical economic depression...those are the extreme conditions that have produced the reverse market crashes in most examples I've seen. I personally don't see anything that extreme coming, but who knows.
I recommend investing in shares to balance out your real estate assets. Even the toughest recessions can give wonderful purchasing opportunities if you are prudent. Furthermore, volatility can create wonderful short-term buy and sell opportunities. Although this is not financial advice, you should buy right now because money isn't king right now!

Strategists have been aiding folks in recording gains over 250k just in a matter of months, so I think there are alot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you have someone who knows where to look like i do.

My CFA ’Marisa Michelle Litwinsky’ , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
I've come across a lot of recommendations but this one stands out. Marisa Michelle Litwinsky" resume is pretty sophisticated, and shows she was active during the last bear market, I also emailed her. Thanks for the info!
Yeah, other guy pointed out: Population collapse at the same time as Baby Boomers mass retiring at the same time that ChatGPT and LLMs will take 90% of the jobs, at a time when The Superwave collapses.... It's all so much! Throw in the systemic extinction risk of Artificial Super Intelligence circa 2026-2027 and you get a really scary picture! My p(DOOM) is at 87%.
I'm sick of hearing that the "recession is coming!" If you are well-informed and prepared, recessionary times present equal market chances. I have personally witnessed people accumulate wealth during difficult economic times and even succeed when the going gets good. Almost always, the collapse makes someone wealthy.
For the average Joe, the strategies are rather demanding. In actuality, most of them are effectively completed by experts who possess the necessary knowledge and skill set to carry out such occupations.
Many people minimize the importance of advisers until their own feelings get in the way. A few summers ago, following a protracted divorce, I needed a significant push to keep my firm afloat. I looked for licensed advisors and found someone with the highest qualifications. Despite inflation, she has assisted in increasing my reserve from $155k to $750k.
Since every person's situation is different, I'm very hesitant to make particular recommendations. Think about self-employed financial counselors such as "Sharon Ann meny" Having collaborated with her for a few years, I heartily endorse her. Verify if she fits your requirements.
It is difficult to make exact projections for the housing market as it is still unclear how quickly or to what degree the Federal Reserve will reduce inflation and borrowing costs without having a substantial negative impact on demand from consumers for anything from houses to cars.
If anything, it'll get worse. Very soon, affordable housing will no longer be affordable. So anything anyone wants to do, I will advise they do it now because the prices today will look like dips tomorrow. Until the Fed clamps down even further, I think we're going to see hysteria due to rampant inflation. You can't halfway rip the band-aid off.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.
Transfer of wealth usually occur during inflation and market crash at times like this. So for me,this is time for aggressive investment. The more stocks drop, the more I buy. I'm just focused on making better investments and earning more as recession fear increases.
I agree, I've been getting ready, I own my home and land. My investments are in apartments which get more renters in bad economy and I have cash ready. I plan to make 10 years income in the next 2 years. Time to thrive.
Its amazing how many sites say in so many days, in that year or next year but always in the future. It sounds believable but always with plausible deniability. This is the magic of social media and the internet. I have been impressed with many inputs by PBD offering educational content providing perspective context and awareness of reality based situations. Its a balance i suppose.
I recommend diversifying your investments by considering stocks alongside real estate. During a recession, there are potential buying opportunities in the stock market if approached cautiously. Additionally, market volatility can offer short-term buying and selling opportunities. However, please note that this is not financial advice. It's important to be proactive in investing as cash may not be the most advantageous option during these times.
You’re right! The current market might give opportunities to maximize profit within a short term, but in order to execute such strategy , you must be a skilled practitioner.

The word diarrhea coming out of this guys mouth is ridiculous, fear mongering, jumbles of numbers. Able to point out what he thinks the problems are but OFFERING NO CREDABLE SOLUTIONS. Just like a typical politician. Did you miss your calling in life?
@@mdouse84 the printing is irrelevant really. The corporate and government monopolies are structural. Whether they acquire everything through inflation, deflation or confiscation, they will take everything. The very few who own the system, and their servants are the only ones who benefit from any productive activity.

It depends on the terms and conditions of the contracts of those 2 jobs. Generally you run into the risk of double selling the same thing, typically specific hours of your time. If you have 2 jobs that contract wise is based around you giving them your hours in 9-5 on workdays, then selling those same hours to 2 companies could be concieved as fraud (you will need to check with a lawyer with speciality in an appropriate field to be close to sure on this). On the other hand if your jobs do not overlap timewise, then there really should not be a problem for most contracts, as you are basically selling 2 different pieces of time, albeit from the same source (you) to different costumers (employers). If your contract is based around fullfilling responsibilities, such as salaried positions, or any above the first is not based directly on selling time, then it really depends on whether you can fullfill those responsibilities that you need to in your contract. If you can fullfill al those requirements they do not really have much ground to stand on in terms of fraud, because you are fillfilling the letter of the agreement and they are getting what they pay you for, assuming you can keep up your performance in such a situation. They might feel like you are being fraudulent though, simply because employers too often have overreaching expectations compared to what your contract technically qualify them for. This is basically the same kind of case where they get disappointed with employees who do not do free overtime and otherwise go above and beyond for them, as they have kind of gotten used to pressuring people into doing that for them. That also means that your relationship with your employer might suffer based on your failure to reach their overentitlement, should they find out, even though you might be within your legal rights to do such things.
Sounded like he was talking about a person billing two companies for the same hours worked, not working two individual jobs. If you work from home it would be possible to have two different companies think you are putting in the same 8 hour day for each. I don't think he was taking about working 16 hours a day from home for two different companies.
He's referring to people working 2 full time jobs at the same time or even subletting one FT job to a family member behind the scenes while they focus on another one - without EITHER employer knowing.
Yeah, he shouldn't repost an old talk when the speaker is counting the months from when it was recorded for a future prediction, revealing the video is a year old.

“If there’s anybody that should be against printing money, it’s low income and middle class people!” 👏 yep
"printing money" lol. Everyone says this and has no idea what this means
Yes inflation affects them most..

What do you think of investing in bit coin? Is it a wise decision or is it a virtual scam?

The market, whether in recession or not, will always be positive to shrewd investors. You just have to know your way around the market. The recent Fed cut is a big advantage also that any serious person will take advantage of. No better time to let the economy work for you than now.

I'll just say this. Shipping is a strong indicator to follow. It's like the 'pulse' of the economy, since just about everything grown, mined, manufactured or or otherwise created has to move from it's origin to a market.

In Russia, we say - "if you don't know what's going on in the country, ask the taxi driver."

Aired March 15, 2024
He actually predicted the recession to hit last month, which ended up just being a correction and barely that at just 10%. The other thing Pat mentions is that was one option and the other being he is wrong because we never had interest rates fly up so fast in a short period. He ended up being wrong for August but now who knows, maybe the anomaly is just delayed by a couple months due to the new issue with rising rates never happening so fast like they did.

I personally don't see anything that extreme coming, but who knows.

Inflation seems inevitable. Our national debt is out of control, we can’t just stimulus our way out.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

Bro called working 2 jobs fraud. Lmao
That's where I stopped listening. I guess he thinks by talking fast everyone will swallow his bs and not notice the taste.
Right? Meanwhile, he literally got rich being a fraud and running a MLM for insurance.
Sounded like he was talking about a person billing two companies for the same hours worked, not working two individual jobs. If you work from home it would be possible to have two different companies think you are putting in the same 8 hour day for each. I don't think he was taking about working 16 hours a day from home for two different companies.
He's referring to people working 2 full time jobs at the same time or even subletting one FT job to a family member behind the scenes while they focus on another one - without EITHER employer knowing.

stupid to put old content, greed for clicks, sad Tom....
This was all just 20 mins of rambling. Nothing cohesive with topics all over the place
