Richard Wear I am going through the loss of a dear friend and I am grieving something fierce. I swear, I've always thought that this would make a great gospel song, too.
I listened to Healing I, II, and III while laboring...my kid's heart beat had kept slowing down so I "beamed" to him to keep up with the music and it worked :-)
From the album 'Healing.' Seems a funny thing to say but Todd is the most underrated musician ever in the UK, so many people are astonished when I introduce his stuff to them. For me.. he's The Master. By quite some margin. I was incredibly lucky to get into his work years ago. Thank you Todd, still fascinated :)
LOL, quite amazing to see "The Fool" get a quick repair job onstage. That guitar has been in some amazing hands during its life. The story is that Todd bought it for about $500. The last time that it was sold to somebody, it went for $500,000. Would that my guitars appreciated that much in value!
@@michaelhaniotes36 Watch the clip. Dallas was a show that was on TV back in the '80s. I did not watch it, like Todd says in the intro. I was at his show. That's Dallas.
I remember this period in my life, it was after I went to see Utopia during the Adventures tour. I must have literally worn the grooves out on this record, I played it so much. Still one of my favorites. I also have this dvd.
Some things never go out of style. I agree with Richard, biblical lyrics. As for the 3 haters? Yeah, those are the ones who make the wounds that no one can see
If I was still in a band I would love to cover this. I met Todd @ a gig I was playing in San Fran. He was checking out a band (I forgot name) to produce I guess, 1987. He was so nice to me (Fan Boy)
Todd is a dichotomy. A hardened liberal, who nearly went to prison for not paying his taxes. Then years later, falsified a loan application and then sues the bank for "allowing" him to falsify it. He tours today because... he needs the money. Go figure.
I can remember a few times in 1981 when songs off Healing seemed like gospel to me. Unreal powers at work here.

I love this song...I've seen Todd play 35 times since 1975.
This is one of my all time favorite songs by him. Especially live. It's a Chord progression that only Todd can think of lol...
I think I'm pretty close to that number. Add in the Kasim Sultan Concerts and when Todd played with The Cars.
25 times out of
The band is spot on and Todd is really funny when he's talking...
He could have had an alternative career as a comedian...

😍 we were at this concert! I will always be in awe of his multitude of talents!
Todd is great. Great band too. Roger Powell is a sadly underrated musician. He is one of my favorite keyboard players

I was at this show. Both nights. I did not watch Dallas. Such good stuff.
What's Dallas

DALLAS was an old TV SHOW and Spoiler ALERT... J. R. Did it!

I was at the first show of this concert...precious moments
Just saw him Live a couple weeks ago, still going strong in his mid 70's. A real artist
His voice sounds great, especially since this is the second show of the night and they were filming them for a DVD.
Fantastic! Hand me the Phillips...

The 2nd show is always the one to go to
Positive motivational tune
Genius pure genius!
a wizard, a true star
Congratulations to Todd Rundgren, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. [2021]
I was there. Still have a plastic cup and some sound tape discarded by a tech.
Sublime!
Brilliant
No one is better than Todd, male or female.
Light of Sun , Light Of Night....This True Star and Wizard Sings it just Right....Loving Care to All the Answer is Just Right ...
I am a old fan. He rocked my world in the 70’s and now too!
I still spin “Hello it’s me”. And
Still think he’s the main man in the Rock world.
Yea man, he’s still great!
You are cool!!!!!!!
It's in there somewhere!
ご機嫌だぜ!w
I remember
Detroit Michigan
What the heck happens at 3:58? He takes his hand completely away from the guitar to make some gesture up near his face and the guitar keeps playing???
Hes doing hammers on the string with his finger
what's the name of that SG that needed the phillips screwdriver? the "fool guitar" I believe
Yeah, It's a 1964 Gibson SG Nicknamed "The Fool' as the artists that painted it were a collaborative named The Fool.
Not crazy about the camouflaged get up. But then it was during the 1980s.
Wow? He was acting like he was a whack job back then
+Jackson Anderson He was wacky. That was par for the course, and kind of the way it was, and it was good.
+dismukology I'm a huge fan of Todds but there are certain parts of his career aka (the 80s) that are just horrible
+dismukology the 70s was good especially when he made the record company pissed off lol
@@jackson5781 stuff your opinions in a sock, bro
