Tony Peluso with the fantastic fuzz guitar solo.
Karen Anne Carpenter. Was an American singer and drummer. She was born March 2 1950 in New Haven,CT, And she died February 4 1983 in Downey CA.
What a beautiful song.💜❤️💜☮️
Nice job. Many of us feel the same. RIP KAREN.
So well said Stan. It is as if your mother, who has the comforting voice of an angel, is reading to you, only in song. Pure. Spiritual. Comforting. Angelic. Well said, Stan.❤❤❤
Love the Reaction.. Each Song could make you feel something Special..
So true and if it wasn't for her eating disorder she may still be here..R.I.P you beautiful song 🐦 😢
It has been said in other comments sections that babies stop fussing when Karen's voice comes on the radio. Also comments have been made of the healing affects when listening to Karen sing. There are few things of such pure beauty, therefore must be divinely inspired. We were blessed to have had Karen Carpenter. RIP Drummergirl
I wish it could’ve healed her. Such a shame.
I’ve only thought of this song as simply a slow ballad, but that ending really rocks! And of course Karen is perfection as always. 🥰
Stan your so right on her voice and her delivery.its truly amazing and one of a kind.
This is the wonderful, and well overdubbed, studio version over a live version. Never the same as the only voices on recordings, iirc, were those of Karen and Richard's.
The amazing Carpenters. Karen's voice just goes past your heart to your soul.
Well said, almost if you are listening to a tone touched by the divine. That is what touches your heart and pierces your soul. No other singer has ever been able to do that to me the way Karen's voice does every time I listen to it. And if you listen to any of their Christmas music, specifically Christ is Born and Ave Maria, you feel certain her voice is touched by the divine. This was truly a generational gift for people to enjoy for all time. Hugs from NC, Chuck 8:58
All that emotion in Karen's voice is even more unbelievable when you realize she was only 21 or 22 years old when she sang this song. She was only 32 when we lost her far too soon! She was the voice of my teen age and college years.
That's the best description of Karen's voice I've ever heard. Well stated sir!
Thank you
Karen’s voice is warm and genuine
Great Reaction.
Glad you enjoyed it
