max hitzig´s godlike backflip - surely top 3 fwt moments of all time
insane
No hate to the commentators you've got here, but you NEED to get steepsteep to commentate at least one event. The energy that man would produce for the event would be wild.
ye was thinking the same. good idea
@steepsteep
has to be!
god pleeease no
max hitzig's line is my personal best, so smooth from top to bottom.
Finn's run was insane
This perfectly describes the judging ability shown for years on the FWT. Absolutely clueless.
did u read the title??? its not rated worst to best its every riders best line ur clueless
Of course I read the title, did you read my response or just throw your fit??? I watched last season and some of these runs don't deserve a repeat on this list oh ass-umptive one. I never said a thing about worst to best,
U did@@skipkoster3232
@@skipkoster3232why are they sorting by number then?
This post perfectly shows how clueless you guys are. I guess you don't know how the overall standings are worked out, do ya?
drawn out of a bingo tumbler by a trained monkey? You go big shot-@@mymomsbasement69
Hopefully they can get some decent snow at the venues this year.
норм линии!
Ah yes, best lines=traversing from small hit to small hit to toss another 360. Oh how times have changed
Agreed. I lament the fact it's more about the tricks than the lines at this point.
Well, they got the 'ride' part in the name correct, because it sure isn't about skiing anymore.
Derek is the worst commentator. Everything is AMAZING or PERFECT when it's just OK. And when it's completely lackluster the riders are being SO SMART WITH THEIR MEASURED APPROACH. REALLY PICKING THEIR LINES TO LET THE JUDGES KNOW HOW IN CONTROL THEY ARE.
Lol ok dude. That run sucked and every viewer, including those who don't even ski, know it. You don't have to keep trying to dress up turds. People know this stuff is hard but an underperformance is an underperformance no matter how much crappy commentary you put on top of it.
I've stopped watching the events live in favor of the replays so I can skip through the horrible commentary.
@@sqism99% of people dont know how hard this is. Everything looks a bazillion times tamer then irl.
Especially people that dont ski or have very little knowledge of skiing would not understand how hard this actually is. So you assuming that "everyone" knows is complete and utter nonsense.
Theres always gonna be people that dislike everything. The reality is a hyped commentator is more enjoyable to watch for the majority of people if you cant stand it just stick to what you're doing now.
The people that actually search out and watch these vids know exactly what is up with skiing a steep face, it's the general population could care less. People that don't ski, don't watch.@@r00kiet80
Bring back overall “best of” videos.
Some of this belongs on the pirate memes
thank goodness they don't combine men and women's like last year. i don't know what possessed them to do that. they are different categories.
careful buddy youre engaging in some pretty extreme misinformation there
@@macseamus835 what was i thinking...lol...
@@macseamus835so you think that someone who believes men and women should compete in separate categories are misinformed? Or did I understand your comment wrong?
he was being facetious methinks@@bowenbottorff1283
Did the commentators record their lines next morning in post? wake up folks.

? Seems out of order…
yeah ross in Andorra and max in KH were the 2 best runs imo.
@@andrewpollard208 Hitzig run was mind blowing and it was a strong finish. I liked Goguens 2nd best, then Ross and pollard close thereafter. Great season 🤙
I Also realized too after commenting on this ...the order isn't who had the best runs. The order was based on our overall ranking at the end of the season.@@SkiBum6062
I thought so myself, but read the title again. It's just every riders best line they are not in order or anything.
No flow… no style. Slow traverse. Slow hits. A few big straight airs. This is devolution if they are skiing this way for the scoring system. Prioritize flow and style. Otherwise these runs just look silly and less inspiring than a run I’m capable of putting together
let me guess, you havent skied properly once your actual life 🙄
@@arrrrrrarararar5151 been skiing fast all my life. Grew up close to Tahoe and was there every weekend. Sure, I’ll traverse to access features but I don’t appreciate that aesthetic in competition.
@@audiomystic its a different type of skiing, quick and dirty, but yes the style has changed in freeride since the 1900's causing it to be less skiing and more time in the air with less style on bumps.
@@arrrrrrarararar5151 yeah I just don’t like it. It’s literally less appealing than a run I would put together myself. And when I watch professional sports, I take it the point is to be entertained. I am not entertained by this. I am amazed by NBA basketball, or slopestyle, or mountain biking because they can do things I cannot do, and with tremendous style. If the name of the game is to traverse as much as possible to hit straight airs, it’s no longer entertaining. It’s up to a sport to deliver an entertaining product or it will quickly lose the interest that sustains it.
All in all it’s getting lame lamer lamest by the year. This should be the pinacle of skiing at it’s rawest form but now there are perhaps 2-3 athletes that have the skills to go fast and big with good skitechnique. Doesnt even get rewarded. Most are in the backseat position traversing and doing 3 m 360’s. The sport, as for the competition side of it goes, are not that exciting anymore. It’s rather lame actually…
ok boomer
Boomer, millennials or Gen x-z... It's true though.
Weak skiing, chicken shit lines, jibbing in traverse (in the backseat ) doing mini 3's will always be just that regardless. At least in the context of a freeskiing contest.
these commentators are monotone asf
Less is often more. Could care less about all the tricks unless they're done with style. Don't let it turn into every other unwatchable sport.
