    One hundred episodes! Keep this going man, I keep either getting good tips for using units that I'm familiar with or get some insight on machines I'm not used seeing. Here's to one hundred more :)

      It's been a long road trip through the past TRO books, but there's lots more work to be done. I'm always happy to hear that the work is helpful to individuals new or old hats to the game.
      Thank you for watching

    The bulldog is the only tank that I currently have in my collection but it is a fun little tank in a built up area

      Not a bad choice for just having one type of vehicle in your stable.

    I have a real like for the Bulldog LRM variant. I used it as SAM and fire support for Schreck's PPC Carries. They ended up in the game and have stuck together. I really could use to play them again. As an IFV. Your idea is a good one. I would never have thought of it as an over sized Goblin. Thank you for doing vids like this. Its better to know more then just lore.

    • @Helcarexe26

      Trading out the main weapon for the LRM is a good swap of all of that tonnage. Turning it into a APC has been something I've done for decades now

    I like giving them a fusion engine personally, but that does tend to drive up the battle value and C Bill cost.
    I've always loved how it's basically two squares on top of each other like the Oro

    What's the largest battle you've ever been in? Anything larger than company vs company?
    I have this "dream" of someday being in a HUGE double-blind battle, something large enough that you're actually going to use scout's to find the enemy, combined arms, every type of unit there is. Sure, it'd take DAYS to fight it out, but the fun!

    • @Helcarexe26

      I've played in games with a Battalion of mechs on each side, so there was over 75 mechs on the tabletop at one time. It took around 10 hours to play it out, with more mechs on the tabletop things died very quickly.

      @@Helcarexe26 To share my experiences with the Alacorn. Its much like a well armored LRM carrier with a turret. When the main gun gets hit expect explosions. If you ever play a WoB player. Please expect C3i augmented crews sitting in the back putting ferro-nickel rods down range. The issues with this vehicle is when your not packing a Mule Dropship full of ammo. Expect it to run out in the campaign.

    What I never got was why mechs need heat sinks but vehicles don't. Overheating is a thing in vehicles irl.

    • @Helcarexe26
      @Helcarexe26  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vehicles still need heat sinks for the energy weapons, which is really a equipment tax if they don't have a fusion engine. That's because the ICE doesn't produce enough power for energy weapons consumption.
      The Missile and Ballistic weapons don't cause heat in vehicles, but do on a Battlemech, which is the odd design flaws from when the game system first came out. Vehicles came out later so they get a free pass

    I thought you needed at least 3 tons for a unit of infantry.

    • @Helcarexe26
      @Helcarexe26  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes a standard infantry unit has a space requirement of 3 tons

    • @Helcarexe26
      @Helcarexe26  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We split up the infantry Platoon into 4 squads so that they fit into a single 1 ton cargo bay. The tanks can drop the squads on a location and they form into a single Platoon
