I would love to see a update of the terrarium I am curious how many of those plants survive... because even I have made a native terrarium and only a few plants survived...so maybe some day in near future make a update video of this all the other terrariums
Really beautiful stuff. It's just keeping it looking like that which is the real challenge for me. I don't mean just keeping it alive, but keeping it looking pristine even once grown in a bit.
We do have the ferns and the clover too. I'f i'm not mistaken, and it is the same clover, it's edible too! It's called Oxalis acetosella and it tastes sour. I'm not sure you can find the others in the wild here but I researched a couple of plants in this video and they can grow here too. Edit: By "we" I mean the Dutch people. Hello felow Dutchie!
Hi, such a wonderful video. Could you please share how can I determine the substrate quantity & plant ratio? I had confusion in adding too many/fewer plants comparing the substrate quantity.
is it ok if the plants touch the glass? I saw somewhere that it can't because droplets could get on the leaves and that would cause the leaves to rot. But there are people who make terrariums and place the plants touching the glass as if there was no problem
Its a good question. I use a lot of aquatic plants in my setups and they fo well when they are touching the glass. For terrestrial plants some are fine touching the glass like the watermelon begonia but Fittonias will not like it. So it is different for every plant. Also depends on the conditions inside the terrarium.
Hello I've been wanting to do this recently. Just a couple of questions. What kind of light or environment do you put them in when testing? Do you ever open it?🤔 P.S I had no idea i was a nemophilist & a dendrophile. The terms at least..😊😁🌲🍀🌱❤
Hello, Can we use any good looking plant to create a Terrarium? I don't know the names of any of these plants you are using, and I don't think they are available here in my place too. But I want to create a terrarium. Please help.
Hi, I wanted a tip. Are the layers supposed to be kept till 1/4 or half the height of the container? I made my first terrarium yesterday, the soil layer crosses above the half line. Is that okay?
This is so lovely... I had made my first terrarium few days back and your videos were a great inspiration and help. I have couple of questions also. How big is this glass jar? Is a 1000ml jar the right size? How much of condensation is optimal coz that indicates the amount of water in the terrarium also. Do you identify over watering through the amount of condensation or is there any other indicator? One of my peperomia just rotted off from the roots in a week's time. I have failed to breed spring tails in charcol even after 4-5 attempts. They seems to just vanish after 4-5 days. Will be trying again
Thanks. Jar is 1200 ml. Heavy condensation throughout the day is indication of overwatering. Ideally condensation happens during night and morning and clears up during the day. Peperomia is a sensitive plant in terrariums.
After WW3, this will be a snapshot in the earth's album.

Hi, such a wonderful video. Could you please share how can I determine the substrate quantity & plant ratio? I had confusion in adding too many/fewer plants comparing the substrate quantity.
Thanks. I just put in enough substrate that I feel the plants would need. Do not really follow any ratio
I cant find any such good looking plants
Quite common plants in my region

Is there something wrong with the pilea? Or you just prefer not to use it?
It doesn’t work very well in enclosed spaces in my experience
@@TheUrbanNemophilist good to know, thank you!
Can we make a terrarium without spring tails culture? Will the plants still grow? Loved your scene created in the jar.

I made my first terrarium yesterday, the

that okay?
If the jar is tall then it should be ok.
@@TheUrbanNemophilist the jar is ~10.5” tall and the layers cover ~6”
@@iamami_d better to keep it lower next time. Aesthetically it will look good and technically will create more balance within the ecosystem
@@TheUrbanNemophilist should i redo this one or will it work?
