Amber mostly lied and tried to destroy Johnny. Johnny handled it all with class. I would not have been that calm and classy if I was in his situation.
I go where the evidence goes. Just because I'm a woman, doesn't mean that I'm blindly on womens side. "Always believe women" is such a toxic mindset that many of Amber's supporters carries .

Cameras on the courtroom are complete transparency. For example, I went into the Gwyneth Paltrow trial thinking about a rich celebrity using her power and money against a poor man she injured (albeit involuntarily). I came out of the trial with the absolute belief she was innocent of any wrong doing. I saw it and heard it for myself, the whole trial and evidences told the story for me. Not a reporter or talking head telling me what their opinion and story about it was.

Can’t believe how many people have been coming out recently claiming that amber was actually the victim all along, and yet they do so while completely ignoring all of the evidence as if it doesn’t exist and don’t even try to come up with any explanation for it, and claim that people believe she was the primary perpetrator because people are sexist against women. However, with the amount of evidence that was presented which demonstrably shows various lies that she got caught telling, physical evidence, video evidence, audio evidence, digital messaging evidence, testimony from impartial parties, is massive. Hand-waiving all of that information away and believing heard instead because she’s a woman is in actuality the primary sexist position. I’m sure there’s also people who sided with depp without analyzing the evidence and did so for simply sexist reasons, but those people are in the minority, the people who sided with heard despite all of the evidence are likely primarily people who are doing so for sexist reasons, consciously or unconsciously.

Anyone gets angry. The large majority of angry people do not physically assault/ hit/ punch their partner. Aren’t we allowed to get angry anymore? Depp would be a physiological miracle if he would never get angry.

Blake is worse. At least Amber came from abusive family background, I think her upbringing was pretty hard and rough. Also between her and Johnny there was mutual abuse, not that it makes it right for either of them to carry it out on one another, but just a complicated, sad situation all around. Blake just seems mean and entitled, with everyone...

No such thing as mutual abuse! You had one abuser, and that was Amber Heard. Did you not hear the tapes of her admitting to hitting him? She started fights, and he reacted to her!

This whole case never sat right with me. Sure, Amber seemed untrustworthy and weird, but there was also enough evidence to show Depp was abusive, yet so many people painted him as a saint and her as the aggressor.

Johnny Depp is not the character y'all see in his movies. People are only sympathizing with him because of the emotional connection they have with his films. He was probably just as bad to Amber as she was to him.

So true, most famous actors are not great people. Just entitled rich people that happen to portray beloved characters as their job.

Apparently, you didn’t see the trial in its entirety. Amber claimed her feet were all cut up by Johnny’s violence. Then the next day she is walking about with smiles on her face. She said the dog was hurt too.

@CynM. what we see on TV is not the same as what happens behind closed doors. Not even close. You have to remember who we're talking about. Johnny Depp is a gifted actor, so naturally, he has a way with words to get the sympathy that he wants.
