I've been searching for a tutorial like this!! I just got into making bracelets again, and all the videos I watched on keychains before said that they were too hard for people just getting started. You made this easy to understand, though, and you make me feel confident that this is doable!! Thank you!!
Oh my god I wanted to make so many normal bracelets into keychains but I never found a video on how to do that and thank goodness I scrolled for who know how long but thank you so much 😍💗
Thank you! I have a bunch more friendship bracelet tutorials on my channel, including a remake of the Starburst that I posted a few days ago! :) Happy knotting!
Great video Alex!! Just a note for those who are wondering how to work this out with an odd number of threads: Cut DOUBLE the length of threads that you need, and then separate the floss to two 3 strands, and then you can attach them to the “metal thing“ 😂either by making a cow hitch knot (lark’s head knot) or by just starting the pattern directly, knotting with the two 3 strand bundles simultaneously ( _knots.and.dots_ on Instagram, dm me for any needed explanation❤️)
Hey Alex! Do you think this will work for a different metal clasp? I don’t have ones with a carabiner. I only have the ones that open up and connect back, it’s like a slit in the side of the metal. I really want to make this so I’m really curious!
Hi! This will work best if you attach the strings to a flat (not curved) surface, like a dowel or a D-ring. I'm not sure about the shape of the surface you're describing, but you might have a harder time lining all of the strings up if it's curved. :)
Can someone help me with adding more strings into a pattern like this one? I'm so excited for this because I've been searching for how to start a bracelet or keychain where the pairs are different colors. THANK YOU Alex for your ingenuity, very cool!!!
this video has helped me SO much, i come back to it allll the time!! but im not really sure about how to do patterns if the colors in the pattern aren't symmetrical, does anyone have any tips?
Super cute/cool!! also thank you for your videos about Etsy too cause I’ve been wanting to start an Etsy shop and your videos REALLY helped me thank you!!! 😊 (also tysm for the rag rug tutorial cause I’m selling those on my Etsy too)
Hi!! I’m looking for how to turn a friendship bracelet into a keychain haha like one that is already a friendship bracelet, is that possible? Thank you so much if you can help :)))

Yep that works for sure similar principle when making a loop with odd number of string too. Its more work of course but still looks good though.
❤️
Will you make a updated bracelet collection video😄

Is it a must to use d clips
Not necessarily! The flat (not curved) surface really helps though :)
Is there a way to do a pattern that isn’t symmetrical with this technique
Yes check the comments added above someone explains how to do so.
what pattern number is the other keychain you showed in the beginning?
I'm pretty sure it's just the bracelet she made in this video! :)
