Wow. 2 Timothy 2:20-22 was the first scripture I heard preached and taught in this house when I first came over a year ago. What an amazing reminder and added context to go deeper into this principle. Thank you Pastor!! 👏🏽 🙌🏽
”But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.“ II Timothy 2:20-22 NKJV
2 Timothy 2:20-21 NKJV - But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
🗡️🔥2:12 “we can be tempted to look at others and see what their doing, how their doing. But let our focus be on ourselves, how we can excel and grow. And be better, and vessels of honor in the house of the Lord” Aye mom this is such a good perspective to have. 🔥 thank you for sharing this. Getting every detail!
🔑🔥 1:15 “we have to continue to increase our value of ourselves, it’s not just about everything around us, but our own character, our own personality- we have to grow and improve!” Wow this is kind of like what you spoke about the “outside and inside” from king David’s life. It’s easy to see the outside change but the inside is where the impurities are. Aye this is yet another ouch but very true word!
🔑🔥1:31 “we have to know what dross is there in our my life? Is there bitterness? is there jealousy? Is there anger? Is there disappointment? Is there grief? We have to deal with those things and remove them!” Thank you mom for these examples 🔥 🗡️
1:01 “the dross is the impurities. There are impurities in our life that we have to remove, so that we can become pure silver! In the silversmiths hands that we will become jewelry that he can use us..” Amen yes!
0:33 “so whether we become vessels of honor or dishonor, is determined by ourselves. We determine what we become.” This is a very ouch statement. Thank you mom for delivering this Word.
We need to continue to grow in our character and personality so we can reflect Christ
