Just a quick question, want to get some perspectives, if you are a Christian, and you were a Christian when you got married and you don't have a white wedding, or get married in church, then are you married in the eyes of God? Accounting for some nuances, was your pastor at your trad wedding, was the ceremony solely traditional or was it a mix of trad and Christian, etc etc. Because from how I grew up if you are a Christian, if you don't get married in a church, or have a white wedding (because some people get married on the beach but their pastor marries them), then you ain't married, if you are not save, and get married then that's different of course. In Maraji's case does anyone know if she incorporated white wedding aspects, or had a marriage blessing at a different time, genuinely curious. I didn't even know this existed, a parlour wedding, without a white wedding or marriage blessing.
I had a pastor at my wedding ( fathers sitting room ) to bless us but I didn’t go to church . White wedding is not biblically mandatory. As far as your parents , a man of God and the country acknowledges your wedding , you are biblically married . This other events ( white , reception, traditional) are all customary, depending on where you are from and the money in your account . I hope this helps 💋

And for me a white wedding is just you say your vows with a pastor as the officiating minister leading you through them, exchange rings and he/she prays for you, and you are married, that to me is a white wedding. The white people typically do church or court wedding, and church/white wedding is used interchangeably world over, its not just white people.

Veekee James' own became BBN: weekly updates 😂😂. Personally, I was drawn to the matter only when famous people like Daddy Freeze and even Chike were saying "rest abeg". I enjoyed the outfits abeg, I like art. It's her life, her money , her time, her business.

Just a quick question, want to get some perspectives, if you are a Christian, and you were a Christian when you got married and you don't have a white wedding, or get married in church, then are you married in the eyes of God? Accounting for some nuances, was your pastor at your trad wedding, was the ceremony solely traditional or was it a mix of trad and Christian, etc etc. Because from how I grew up if you are a Christian, if you don't get married in a church, or have a white wedding (because some people get married on the beach but their pastor marries them), then you ain't married, if you are not save, and get married then that's different of course. In Maraji's case does anyone know if she incorporated white wedding aspects, or had a marriage blessing at a different time, genuinely curious. I didn't even know this existed, a parlour wedding, without a white wedding or marriage blessing.
I had a pastor at my wedding ( fathers sitting room ) to bless us but I didn’t go to church . White wedding is not biblically mandatory. As far as your parents , a man of God and the country acknowledges your wedding , you are biblically married . This other events ( white , reception, traditional) are all customary, depending on where you are from and the money in your account . I hope this helps 💋

I wonder if this way will become more prevalent for young people, because weddings are very expensive and with social media the pressure to do Veekee James level weddings is a lot, so it may be go big or literally go home, if you genuinely can’t afford it. Or do what I see a lot of people in the East do, have a trad and party, then just go to church get married and that’s it.

The basics remain consistent: the parents' consent according to their customs - traditional ceremony; the government attests -court ceremony; blessings by God through his vessel - church ceremony.

And for me a white wedding is just you say your vows with a pastor as the officiating minister leading you through them, exchange rings and he/she prays for you, and you are married, that to me is a white wedding. The white people typically do church or court wedding, and church/white wedding is used interchangeably world over, its not just white people.
