Agreed! If my husband EVER... I would be a widow and my babies would live their lives knowing I would sacrifice my safety & freedom to ensure theirs. ANY attorney that can walk into court and actually make a half assed attempt to defend these bastards is the bottom of the barrel as far as humanity is concerned.

One time I dated this guy and I thought everything was great and after 2 years we moved In together. One day after he went to work my daughter said he made her feel uncomfortable. She said he had never said anything or touched her but she just felt uneasy. ENOUGH SAID! He got home 8 hours later and everything was gone! I would never take a chance! @sagetubing This is an odd take. I'm not sure where your problem is: moving in after two years of dating, not marrying the guy before moving in so now she has to divorce him after it turns out he makes her child uncomfortable, or dating at all with a child.

    I'll just say....
This sounds awfully familiar in regards to my very own childhood..
    I wasn't so lucky.
At 11, I had to advocate for myself and sister.
And even mother, as she was also a victim of her own circumstances.
I put our offender in prison and that's where he eventually rotted and died less than 5 years ago...
I'm 36 today and I'm proud to say, the generational trauma ended with ME.
My kids know a vastly different upbringing. I was also a kid raising a kid with my eldest being 20 today.

I don’t necessarily think what people do on drugs is who they are. I’m not making excuses for this guy. I 100% believe this is who he is and he is pure evil. I’m just talking in general. I think a lot of people do things that they would never think of or do while sober. Drugs don’t just lower your inhibitions. Sometimes they can literally change how a person thinks normally. However I don’t think drugs turn a person into a SO. Tons of people are drug addicts and don’t abuse children.

Ooof... this one's gonna hit all the feels. Fuck these parents. All of them. They do not deserve those kids.
I was 18 years old when I met my best friend. She was 14 and six months pregnant. She gave birth 1 month after she turned 15 and immediately gave the baby up into an open adoption, yet did not tell anyone who the father was. I mean, we all had suspicious, especially when her mom left her step dad and let her 15 year old daughter live with the step dad when she had plenty of other family to take her in. After 1 month with that step dad, I finally convinced her to move in with my family to keep her safe and get her through high school. It wasn't until 4 years later that she finally confessed what he did to her. And that it was well over 5 years, starting when she was 9 right after her mother married him. I convinced her to go to the authorities. He was eventually arrested and is still in jail. That was 18 years ago. The baby grew up to be a wonderful and smart lady, and my friend gets to be in her life which is awesome. Bestie is married now herself too, and quite happy. But even 18 years later, I'm still the one she calls in the middle of the night when she has her nightmares. She refuses to have any more children as it's still too traumatic for her to think about. And while she may forgive her mother and the asshole (her name for him) I don't nor will I ever. The sadness in her soul enrages me. He too blames the drugs... that's not owning up to shit in my book. I relish each and every day that man will spend in jail and I especially love that he knows it was me that convinced her to speak. As a mother myself now, I cannot see any excuse for not only letting him around her daughter (I found out later she knew what was going on and blamed her daughter for "tempting" her husband) but when she decided to leave, she traded in her daughter to that man rather than giving her to her own very capable and loving father. I look at my daughters and there is no amount of abuse that makes a second of that okay, and for her to know and not leave says everything right there.... fuck these parents... rant over

This makes me mad because I was in the same position as these kids, just without anyone stepping in. My mom was more abusive than my stepmonster, becauseshe allowed it all. I was literally in a doctor's office telling them that he'd hit me and thats why there was blood in my urine and she told me I needed to tell them I lied or I would be worse than that when I got home. So, yeah, I lied. She only left him when the school started seeing the trauma, the bruises. My mom manipulated me into believing that I needed to protect her and my brother. I still have nightmares, night terrors, anxiety and depression. I just got the panic attacks under control and I'm in my 30s. The quicker they get these kids away, the quicker they can cope and try to heal. I don't resent my step-dad or hate him anymore and although he liked to undo my bikini top, and there are many areas of memory that are blank, but I don't know if he actually did anything further. But my mom? Lots of resentment and disappointment. Mostly disappointment. The problem 8s, I didn't realize how abusive she was until I was in my 20s.
Also, the mom's lawyer sounds like Debbie downer from snl

I think there are certain cases that shouldn't be recorded and re-uploaded... and this is one of them. Just like Judge Sims said (before she stopped showing her cases to the public which happened because no one would heed her warnings to stop recording and re-uploading; channels/people kept doing it, therefore we no longer can watch any of Judge Sims cases) these kids one day may see this and can you imagine how they'll feel? Knowing the public knows about such horrible "s" violations and now their privacy has been violated. I stopped watching this vid pretty soon in.
Some cases shouldn't be for our consumption. I've seen the courts usually take these type of cases (S abuse) off live feed so no one can see it and also to keep it from being recorded and re-uploaded. This should have been one of them... especially because they can easily be found since the parents and one child's name was used.
Just my opinion. Have a great day -

I grew up in these same circumstances except that CPS allowed me to remain with my mom if she broke off the relationship with her boyfriend and got clean and sober. However she just kept seeing him in secret and kept drinking and using. She made me lie to CPS and counsellors that everything was fine. I was so worried about losing her and about the possibility of her boyfriend killing her that I did what she said and eventually CPS closed the case.
And instead I was continually abused the rest of my childhood. And I was always scared that I would lose my mom, or be taken from her. As an adult now, I wonder what my life would be like if I wasn’t still left with the effect of years of trauma and abuse. I really feel for the kids in this case. I know how difficult and heartbreaking it can be. 💔

When he was, "making his girls do that to him..." I can't even let my brain ponder what that might mean because no matter which road it starts down, inhuman, ungodly behaviors are the only things that i can imagine that means. I don't know how women can be sick, disgusting, immoral, endangering, moronic, and hateful enough to want anything to do at all with a guy, much less a relationship where she attends to the same "parts" of his body and the certain "appetites" her own daughter is forced to attend to at other times of the day. I really do just loathe mothers sometimes after my mother was an angel from heaven and just the thought that other mothers don't even try to give their kids a loving angelic figure in their lives like they deserve just like mine.

This makes me think of all of the people who jump down CPS's throats online saying they are infringing on parents' rights etc. No maybe there are a handful that do and are in it for the wrong reasons, but then there are amazing case workers in the system who save lives. I am a product of that myself. I will saved as a child by the system, and after I had a child pass away I became a drug addict who could not care for her other children. I am now almost 4 years drug-free and after losing everything, my local State department of child protection has become my number one support. It has to happen because you cannot take away parental rights away without due process. It has to be done legally through the courts. Compelling evidence has to be provided, and heard by a judge and the parent(s) have a right to mount a defense. It is along the lines of "innocent until proven guilty in court of law". You wouldn't want your children taken away and prevented from seeing them if you had been falsely accused of SA, and without this basic protection, there would be nothing stopping that from happening.

Something I have learned about sexual abusers is that they believe that the victims owe them forgiveness. We have seen this in church cases of abuse, as well as familial cases. The older I get, the more I realize that these monsters are demanding forgiveness, but are not showing any kind of accountability. Forgiveness is earned. Forgiveness is not required of the victim. Forgiveness does not mean that the monster should be free to continue.

It is actually a good thing that they go to these lengths to protect the rights of parents even tho said parents didn't care enough to show up. Just like in a criminal case if they go above and beyond to protect these people's rights despite their lack of involvement or whether they deserve it or not because in the end the record will show that they followed the law, the constitution, etc and then those kids will be safe from having parents who didn't bother to show up for them to be able to get access or delay their rights being terminated because someone didn't dot their I's and cross their T's and now the kids are at further risk.
This is a good thing. Just like a defense attorney putting up a fight for their client no matter what horrors they are guilty of. The better the defense the less of a chance there is that the defendant does not get a new trial or worse having the charges dropped because of a technicality
