I don't have any reborns anymore since I have my real babies twin boys 5 now and my singleton baby boy who's 3. The reborns helped me when I was going infertility and 3 miscarriages. The hobby was exactly what I needed in my life at that time. But I do miss them from time to time.

I have seen some that have three seats or two seats and a platform for one of the older kids to stand on. I have Early onset dementia and I think that is wonderful that they ( reborn babies) can help with that. I also have Epilepsy and EDS which makes it very dangerous for me to be a real mother.

I would love to learn how to make one of my own. I am disabled, 76, a widow of 25 years, 4 time cancer survivor, have only 1 kidney left. I suffer from severe vertigo issue, 2 brittle bone diseases, I have had many many fall accidents, I have cataracts on both eyes, profoundly deaf in one year, losing my hearing rapidly in my other ear, have broken my wrists and arms several times broken my rib cages, sternum, my right leg, had a tumor behind my left eardrum, broken all of my toes many many times at least half of them don't even bend any longer, had a severe spinal injury, also fractured my vertebrae in my back, was in a rollover car accident, when I was a teen ager, the vehicle was totaled, my boyfriend had to kick out the windshield for us to escape; the car had landed on its roof, the doors were jammed shut, we had just filled up the gas tank, luckily the car engine did not explode. It was traumatic, my boyfriend's hip hit the gear shift, breaking off the stick. He was bruised up pretty bad. My top teeth stuck into my upper inside of my lip, broke my glasses, my lungs were filled with dirt dust. I have mental issues, I have been forbidden to own another emotional support fur baby, by my family because of my vertigo, afraid I will trip and fall . Which I do all of the time, I used to own and live in my two story condo, and I slipped and fell all the way down the stairs on my back, fracturing my ribs. These dolls are a real joy for my state of mind, since I had lost my husband who had been cheating on me the entire 33 years we were in the relationship. Stupid me ! I worshipped the ground that he walked on, kept him on a pedestal. When I die I told my Daughter that it will be from a broken heart.
I tried to do this at a target and the people snatched my baby away thinking it was kidnapped because I was Asian carrying around a blonde baby!!!! When they found out it was reborn they threw it on the ground!! 😭😭 I Was so traumatized by the whole event...i cant get over it

I took my "reborn" Larry to Microbiology class with me. I had him made on Moscow Day(1st week of September). Out of scratch, I used an OG doll and added a wig to him. then placed him on a wheelchair. My professor Mrs. Renae was shocked as soon as I brought him in. Luckily she was very patient & sweet that she didn't tell me to put Larry outside of class. Instead, while doing lab or studying, my friends and classmates took turns "babysitting" him, sometimes Mrs. Renae. They never seen such a thing made by Russian tradition & love. All my other friends especially John was shocked to see him as I carried him around the college. Sometimes, in a study room, along with friends & classmates especially from Micro class, while I study or do my homework, we also took turns as well too. this is multitasking at a new level. We had a great study group with Larry in it. As if it looks like he's a new member of my Bact-250 class, although I don't own a real reborn doll, Larry became something to me. I treated him as I would treat a reborn baby
