yesterday, I was watching another presentation of yours and the two of you were discussing the word "PLAID" --- I am of Scot/Irish decent and thought this detail might be helpful. Tartans were/are a long piece of fabric that contains squares or rectangles with intersecting lines in the specific clan colors for centuries. This fabric is ONLY worn over the left shoulder for national holidays and on very specials occasions. I belong to 2 clans so have 2 different combinations to appreciate. Later, textile companies manufactured a wide variety of plaid colors/combinations, usually in cotton. It is quite reasonable that paper manufacturers would replicate the idea and do the same. THANK YOU for the joy & fun you exude on your programs.
Watching this on the replay two years later and this is still so relevant and inspiring with my yearly goal to use up my stash of hoarded papers. 😉😎 Thank you Karen and Tim, and “Happy Holidays’22!” 🎄🙏🏾🤩🤘🏾✨💜
Thank you for this video. It is hard for me to envision how to use the beautiful pattern paper. I'm watching your video 2 years later, yet it has been very informative for me. I agree. We need to bring sending cards back in style.
I love sending and receiving happy mail. The one sheet wonder, is just that, absolutely a wonder to create so many different types of cards with one main pattern paper.
I am pc savvy…UNLESS it’s about cardmaking..Ty Karen for your “hard copy template….i put my first lot of cuts on one side & the more detailed measurements on the flip side then I laminate it 😀🇦🇺🐨 thanks again Karen…Happy 2024 & I hope it’s a blessed year for you both
👍 Oh Karen, I love your hand drawn directions. Thanks so much for that in the video ! Great minds think alike ! Yep, Lady I needed that so much !!! Nana in se OK 🙋
I ❤️ one sheet wonders. Thank you for sharing. I just finish my first three months did first goal, so taking time to really learn for when I can do classes 😊 also ways to get the most bang for my spending. I am a crafter that dose craft fairs and been approached by many Stampin Up demonstrators and finally doing it now better late then never 😊
I have made a bunch of these and will place inside the Box templates and give away at Christmas for my awesome co-workers as an assorted set of greeting cards. One nice tip you may like is to include a couple of extra stamped tags for the Owners use. For example, I plan to include a total of four cards with envelopes including two Happy Birthday and two Thank You tags attached to the cards. Then I will also include a Get Well and Thinking of You sentiments and the owner can replace the tags on the card if needed. Thanks for your fun and informative videos
I really enjoyed this tutorial. Thank you for sharing. I also watched your stamp room tour today and enjoyed that also. Kind of like mine but some what better. I like that you are real people just doing your thing.
I hope you are enjoying that grandbaby - although even if your daughter lives close to you, you might not be seeing the baby yet during these strange times
This is a great one sheet wonder! So many I have seen you have to make mats for and that gets into lots of cutting and for me some lost pieces. The dsp is lovely. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you makes me want to go to my craft right now and see if I have any dips and cut it up. Then make a bunch of cards. Thank you for the inspiration.Pamela
This is a very Awesome Video. Thank you so much. I have had a time designing my layouts and using my dsp. Hope all is well with you and Tim and your family..
Here it is 10:14pm and I am on my last three I so confused 😂 from the 3-1/2 by 6” pice , got 3 cards. I did the for second ones the 4” by 6” pice got 4 cards . So I have 7 total now 😊. My first set the 4 -1/2” by 6 “ need to work on they are very different I didn’t cut right so I will show what I get on my channel when done. After I figure them out 😂. I am not the brightest crayon 🖍 in the box when it comes to measurements. TFS. May God Bless you and Mr. Tim. Love watching you two are very good. Can’t wait until isolation over so I can have friends in to craft and teach card classes. Night
We don't cash and carry so any demonstrator will have to order it for you. I would be happy to do that for you if you like -- you can call me at 612-929-1277 and I can place your order for you (and answer any questions, mail you the catalogs, or anything else) or email me at ktstamp@usinternet.com.
I LOVE one sheet wonders! I have never seen one that makes 11 cards out of what amounts to one 12 x 12 sheet. I have that paper too! And that paper will be great for “guy” cards, and I have a husband and two grown sons, so lotsa guy cards needed! Have you ever seen a one sheet wonder for more than 11 cards from a 12 x 12? Just curious!
I love how at 2:20 you needed a blade and suddenly you found one. But you didn’t let anyone know that the trimmer has a storage section underneath for spare blades. I bought a second hand trimmer and was pleasantly surprised by that feature as I always lose things.
Wonderful, thank you. Can’t find you card gift folder. Watched it once but want to make some of them to send cards to friends. I’m 87 years old, do not get out much. Want to make gift card folders. For various groups. Nursing homes etc.😊
All of the cards are 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 when folded and fit into the regular invitation size envelopes (we sell those too). So - you are really cutting your 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock in half and then folding in half again - that gives you this size.
Hay alguna forma de traducir los tutoriales a español? Y las medidas de los cortes de las piezas....se podrían traducir en cm?Lo agradecería mucho para poder beneficiarme del tutorial...gracias
Wonderful idea but is there someone who has a version in metric instead of imperial? Our cardstock is different in size than the US one so the measurements of the cards and the different mats will be different. Unfortunatly I'm not a math wonder and imperial confuses me a lot so I'm unable to convert it myself. It would be nice if SU had done this in metric as well.

Great tutorial and idea! What do you do on the inside? Do you use white cardstock/ paper to write on?
I have made a bunch of these and will place inside the

Brilliant!
watching 3 years later what is the right cutting measurements for the 3 1/2 " piece left over
Trying to make these but, I'm kinda new to card making. What size it the card itself? 41/2 x5?
All of the cards are 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 when folded and fit into the regular invitation size envelopes (we sell those too). So - you are really cutting your 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock in half and then folding in half again - that gives you this size.
