Tbh the issue isn't even about which is the correct day, it's a wider problem to do with a "we're right, therefore you're wrong"mentality which seems to crop up twice a year and so we get snide accusations from both sides saying oh they must be blind or they must have very good eyesight (depending on which side you happen to agree with).
Now, if the issue with moon sighting is due to a difference in methodology then there will always be a difference of opinion and the sooner we accept that, the better. Perhaps we should instead respect the difference rather than using it as a means of division amongst us. It's just a shame that every Ramadhan has to begin this way...
    Anyway, Allah knows best

Islam isn't about respecting differences, it's about respecting the truth. Why am i obliged to follow some math that modern muslims have brought along which has been refuted by almost all pre-mdern scholars, and all traditional scholars who follow pre-modern scholars and salaf?

Only Allah can open their hearts and minds.....
1 Saudi announces to its nation, not world.
2 Saudi always seem to announce first.
3 The sighting seems to be exclusive to Saudi.
4 No country before or after seems to have sighted when Saudi have claimed sighting.
5 No evidence from the Quran and Sunnah to follow Saudi.
6 Morocco has the best moonsighting establishment in the world. 272 points in their kingdom, every month with the naked eye. 7 By following Saudi, one has made redundant the verses and passages stated in the Quran and Sunnah.
Why is it that people are rejecting the clear evidence and instead following that which is not prescribed by the Qur'an and Sunnah?
What will it take for people to understand not to follow that which is doubtful, unreliable and unverified?
Only Allah can open their hearts and minds.....

Shaykh Hamza great answer again.. In the UK the majority follow the Sunnah and look for the new moon..
Sadly, the innovators follow Saudi establishment but claim to follow Qur'an and Sunnah

    Full Moon vs Crescent Moon
Which one is better and clearer marker without dispute to signify the start of an important event?
Shahru brings the meaning of masyhur or well known or brightest or fullness.
Full moon 🌕 should be the brighter and clearer marker in sky, compared to initial crescent stage moon 🌙
Naturally you have no need for telescope to see full moon.
Who was responsible in changing this original tradition and go opposite way?
Think again n again wether it is full moon or crescent moon that alquran is referring after..

    You are just confusing people.
The aftereffect is controversies and splitting the month in every city.
Even if we go for the calculation, we can still watch the moon to connect with Nature.

+Numaan Rashid here in the UK there are 2 main groups. One follow Saudi, and the other go with local sighting or the closest country where the moon was sighted. If I remember correctly, both of these are correct according to scholars so follow whichever you and your family wish to follow but don't go around forcing your opinion onto others.

by right every new moon have to be sighted. what happen if all the consecutive months were all hazy or cloudy then do we hare to consider them all to be 30-day?
That why we should opt to astronomical calculation, we are now able to calculate the exact time for the eclipses let alone for new moon

Every majid has a calendar indicating the time for Fajr, Dhur, Asr, Magrib, and Isha. All Muslims follow the time set by these calendars without question. If Magrib can be precisely calculated, then surely the date and time indicating the new month can also be calculated. The Quran says that the sun and moon swim in their own orbit and they do not deviate from Allah's command. It also says that the sun and mood are for calculating the days and time.. Using modern calculators is not abandoning the Sunnah anymore than using modern transportation.

As Muslims we put aside our ideas and brains when prophetic guidance tells us to do so. Otherwise we are claiming we know better than devine prophetic guidance and can guide ourselves with our own minds.
The prophet (saw) told us to fast when we see the moon. Period! End of story! He also predicted the signs of end times in precise detail: women will walk the markets with their thighs exposed, clothed but naked, barefooted desert Bedouins will compete to build skyscrapers, the mountains of Makkah will become green again. All have come to be in precise detail!
Then why do you think your brainpower is superior to prophetic devine guidance when It comes to how we should begin the new moon, ie by seeing it rather than going with a pre calculated time.
The comparison of Salah times to monthly beginnings is an apples to oranges comparison for the simple concept that Salah timings are based on actual moments of time, (whether or not you see the sun is irrelevant, actually staring at the sun is harmful to the eyes! Moreover we don't look at the sun, but rather the position of sun in sky, ie where it is) whereas monthly beginnings are based on trying to witness the actual new moon (whether or not it's 29 or 30 days) so in the case of the sun and Salah timings, we pray when the time kicks in based on the position of the sun in sky, the resulting shadows, the darkness of sky etc. So, many factors that differ from eachother (sun, shadows, darkness of sky) and if it is cloudy, you pray early so as not to fall into doubt. But for the moon and months, we are told to witness only 1 thing: the birth of the 1st crescent moon on the 29th of each month. If it's too cloudy to see it, we simply add 1 day to current month (making it 30) then make the day after the 30th the beginning of the new month. There is no need to sight the moon again on the 30th night. Because islamic months are fixed to have only 29 or 30 days. That's the only "calculations" you need to perform! Ie: counting 29 days, witnessing the new moon, the. announcing the new month or prolonging the current month to 30 days.
Using calculations is a misinformed fringe opinion and cannot be taken over the consensus of majority of scholarship on this topic, despite the plea to making things easy. Religion is quite easy, however everything easy is not necessarily religion!

    • @Carlito_El_Gooner
      @Carlito_El_Gooner 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Memorize-Quran-With-Me ; lt's not fringe opinion. Many modern Muslim scholars like Tahir Al Qadri and Yusluf Qaradawi, may Allah have mercy on his soul, promote calculation. We depend on calculation for salat times of day and since the moon's orbit around the sun is fixed, it can be calculated.
