You guys should do this tournament style. 1vs8, 2vs7 etc and whichever Gen wins moves on to face other winner in the next round. Would be a 7 episode series. See which gen is best and wins the tournament!

Back before phone games, your parents had to physically go to the shop and buy you a game. So if your parents brought you Pokemon Blue/Red, you were gonna play it A LOT, because it's all you had. If you wanted to play a game, you had to play whatever you physically had. No swapping out when it became difficult.
I'm sure a lot of us spent many a countless frustrating day banging out heads against Misty's Starmie with a Geodude caught from Mt Moon, not understanding why the hell we were getting curb stomped.
People like to talk about the bugs in gen 1, too. Most of the bugs and glitches didn't really come out until afterwards, when speedrunners started breaking the game open. To a kid who didn't really understand the game, special being only one stat, or the badge boost glitch don't really make much difference anyway.
Gen 1 was magical. The first of it's kind. Being a kid when all that released was amazing.
Well-written, I think you did an excellent job capturing the sentiments for those of us who had this fortune. Thank you for this.

Challenge idea.
First catch is wild grass encounter, future catches are overworld fully evolved based on the type of the first move of the previously caught Pokémon.
Example:
First random encounter Mewtwo. First move it has is Spark, meaning second Pokémon is any fully evolved overworld Electric type.
Could be fun!
As for no steel types in gen 1 that became steel types later....Magnemite line says hi

Damn, i was rooting for you, Quick! I think the reason gen 1 feels so strong is because only the more popular, stronger pokemon have been ported to newer gens, and you didn't have the best selection of both mons AND moves.

Mr. Mime is based on Charlie Chaplin. One of the most well-known actors from the silent film era. He was very influential to the film industry. And the flat fish referencing Stunfisk are called Flounder
Honestly I never played pokemon and was in my 20's when it came out. That said I do enjoy the videos these two guys put out. It's fun to watch plus they play off each other so well. I'm actually learning the names of the pokemon from them. I enjoy me some pokemans play.

Video idea: THE WACKY FORTUNE WHEEL. You both catch 1 random encounter. Then you spin a wheel with the following categories - EVOLVE, CATCH OR STEAL. You keep spinning until you have a team of 6.
Evolve - evolve a Pokémon of your choice with a rare candy
Steal - Swap a Pokémon with your opponent, you get to pick
Catch - could be split into overworld or random encounters

Dracovish is probably the best after zacian. It was too bad that dracovish didnt have his regular ability and moves were special.

This was a fun video to watch to see the battle between the different Generations. How did you get all those legendary Pokemon to show up in the wild areas?

Challenge: you each catch, say, a dozen pokémon exclusively from random encounters (fishing, trees, etc.). Then, you form teams of six consecutively-caught pokémon. For example: you could take the pokémon from encounters 1-6, or 3-8, or 6-11, any combination as long as they were all caught one after the other. I think you could run it just as well evolved as non-evolved.
Do more stuff like this! More generations or have a generation 1 battle with certain requirements

I was thinking about like a race . Spin a wheel for the both of you . Get one type and run for the first fully evolve . The one who gets it first choses to keep his or take the other
Another idea would be a would you rather challenge. You guys can have 3 randomized starters and ask the question “would you rather have a gen 1, gen 2, or a gen 3 pokemon” you get up to 3 skips until you get a full team.
Challenge idea: Superhero Pokemon wheel
Spin a wheel of superheroes and catch a pokemon whose type matches the powers of the hero. (ie: iron man steel type, batman fighting or dark type, human torch fire, etc..)

What I think you guys should do is as a team, create the best team by generation (no mythical or legendaries) and then randomize a bracket to see which generation is the best
You guys should do a drake vs kendrick themed vs challenge! How would it work...lmaoo i'm not sure yet, BUT IT WOULD DO NUMBERS
Id love to see you guys pit gens against each other and randomly choose your pokemon with a wheel with every pokemon from that gen and once it lands on a pokemon they are removed from the wheel.

I got a great challenge. You guys both have three random starters, choice lock, but rock paper scissors decides who gets to choose. So if chillin wins and picks middle quick must take middle as well.

Also, challenge idea. Select 3 held items each after catching 8 random mons (keep 6). Each team uses their own 3, but also the other teams 3 held item. You must equip a unique item to each of your mons

It's been a while since I've seen a video but I know you like to do the randomizer. Is this really a good test for Gens if you aren't using the moveset and abilities they originally come with?

How about this for a cunning idea. This is the gym leader challenge:
The homie either on gym defense or offense. Defense acts as the gym leader. They will have the same amount of pokemon as all the trainers in the gym, and offense will pick up one mon per gym + their starter leading picked by randomized file starter. All routes random. Gym leader catches a new randomized pokemon for each gym trainer but it's type locked and random spin determines the type. Levels of the mons are equal to kaizo levels and the challenger cant level past the Ace. Chat controls the trainers for interactive vid, while the homie is the gym leader each time. Farthest travelled homie takes home the W.
Should recreate both of ur worst pokemon from every team and battle
You should do a challenge where you pick starters based on their egg group
When you run into the problem not fully evolved in one gen but is in another gen you should be able to use eveolite on them so they will still be the current gen and as strong as a fully evolved
Should do a weak to strong against challenge. You each get 3 Wheel spins for 3 different types of pokemon. The opponent gets to get 3 pokemon that are strong against your 3 types.
You get to use strategy to find the dual type fully evolved pokemon that might counter what your opponent might go for. And with the randomizer you never know what you're gonna get moves wise
Video idea: Put every pokemon type on a wheel, take turns spinning the wheel, whatever type it lands on you have to catch the first mon you see, that type is then removed from the wheel and nobody can catch a duplicate type.

Okay. On the 12th. It will officially be one month since I first started asking for this.
I have an idea for Scarlet and Violet. The two of you catch one Pokémon of each type. 18 each. Now. Once you have caught all of them. You can take turns choosing to pass or take. So for a fire type. If quick takes his fire type, then chillin has to take his. And vice versa. Same rule for passing. Now a couple of rules, 1. only one legendary. You can choose to catch only one. So for dragon. If you see a dialga first, you can choose if you want that dragon or wanna save you legend for later. 2. Only one of each. So if you caught a gallade for fighting. Then you can’t catch a gallade for psychic. 3. Random moves and abilities. 4 no backtracking.
Challenge for ya: Read the left and right BST of the other person's starters and they have to guess the middle one if it is either inside or outside the numbers given. If they are right, they pick any of those 3 pokemon with the ability to fully evolve it. If they guess wrong, the other gives them one of the three with a only one evo (aka mid-stage). Could get beefy or baby🤔
Challenge idea:
Catch random fully evolved randomized Pokemon. 3 skips available. Afterwards, spin a wheel of penalties to inflict on it, things like delete a move, can't switch it in battle, tell the opponent all moves, things like that. Only 1 skip for after the penalty part.
Is it possible...
...to catch two pokemon and pick the one you want take into battle based only on which pokemon it is...
...like catching a flygon and an abra (both randomized of course ♡), then choosing which one of the two to take without seeing their moves or abilities...
BUT...
...then you have to take the ability and the moveset of the one you didn’t choose.

Challenge concept : Make a wheel of biomes, such as caves, pond, ocean, mountains, industrial or such ETC. Spin the wheel 9 times and find a pokemon that looks like it would be in that biome.
Challenge idea!! You guys should do a Pokémon draft with 20 or so Pokémon woth randomized move sets and then battle it out (maybe draft 8 or something and pick best 6)
