Recently I got lucky and found this as the last video in an old VHS tape I bought! I have never seen this one and, after a brief search, I didn't see it here also, so I uploaded. At that time (late 80s and early 90s) Roxette used to do a lot of TV Shows especially the ones when the usual was to sing with a playback. They never liked it. So you can see that, when possible, in a lot of these shows, Marie is singing, even when the band is playing with a backtrack. Here you can see they play LIVE!
I miss Pelle and Marie so much! Marie’s energy was something very powerful! Here the band is totally at the peak in the US. You can see their hunger to be successful abroad. It was their intention when they got together to form the band!
What makes this performance even special is, with time passing, they didn’t bother bringing all the members to the TV performances anymore. But this was 89! In this one, ALL of members from that era are there, even Staffan and Mia, which is SO RARE! I was very happy to have found this video! They were so young!

I remember when I was young, dinosaurs roamed the earth and you could turn on late night tv and see real entertainment.

Thank you for uploading this. It is SO good to see something "new" about Marie. Per is alive, he will continue doing live performances but Marie isn't here anymore, so it is so special to see her in a different show. I think we(her fans) will always miss her.

I know! Great band but they loved playing recorded songs on stage.
I remember this one Marie was so nervous until the end where Per told her to take over his final line and make it her own right at the close. And then she killed it as was her want.:)

And all of this was made possible by a guy named Dean Cushman. He was a foreign exchange student in Sweden in 1988 and when he came home for Christmas in 1988 to Minneapolis he brought home a copy of the album this was on. He gave it to CHR(Top 40) station KDWB in Minneapolis and after some prodding from the program director they played The Look. Soon it was a big hit on the station and in the Twin Cities. Other stations heard about it and wanted copies. KDWB made copies of the song and soon without a US record deal Roxette had a major US hit. They did eventually get a US record deal and thus they had other hits in the US.
I like Roxette they were pretty good.
