Vinnie needs to realize that just because you take lives in a board room with a pen and a pad, denying claims, you're still signing their death warrants. This man just used a more direct method. Vinnie was unhindged talking about OJ Simpson's death, a man who went to trial and was acquitted, yet he still talked about OJ as if he did it with a scathing tone. Aren't you supposed to be presumed innocent until proven guilty and since OJ wasn't proven guilty, he has to be given his full rights and presumptive innocence back? Luigi is presumed innocent until he's proven guilty. Better hope the jury isn't comprised of Unitedheatlhcare clients.

I have a friend that had a neck injury after falling at work, their insurance kept denying treatment and delaying the coverage. She went from being this cheerful full of life person to being suicidal because the neck will make the face swell and it was impossible to sleep…the pain was real and this is when you understand people get really angry and loose judgement when they are not being treated well

He isn’t a coward. He sacrificed himself to bring attention to an evil situation. For-profit medical insurance is cowardly: sitting behind desks and denying claims. How about share holders start making personal visits to people to explain why, even after they’ve paid through the nose for insurance, their medical bills won’t be paid. Evil, evil, evil.

@@spypink11361. That was not a justification (not persuasive), it was an explanation (sharing reasons). You either struggle with reading comprehension or you read this too fast and in the wrong tone. For your benefit, I’ll assume the latter.
      2. You don’t have to shoot someone in the back to get away with it. I’m not sure why you think a victim has to be turned around in order for their killer to evade justice but I’m sure you have your reasons.
      3. Hero-assailant shot him in the lower back FIRST. Thompson turned around to face hero-assailant as he stumbled backwards, eventually falling at which point hero-assailant continued to walk towards and fire at him.
He could have aimed for Thompson’s head first, he was only a few feet away and wouldn’t have missed. The bullet to Thompsons back was hero-assailants “this one’s for me” and the rest were his “and this is for everyone else”.

FYI - It doesn't matter if you are insured directly by United Healthcare or not, because any other insurance company you have depends on United Healthcare for approval. Your claim is not approved or denied by your direct insurance company, but goes to the United Healthcare for approval or denial and then back to your insurance. United Healthcare is guilty for all the denials on the claims and not your insurance company whatever you call it.

Coming from a privileged background does not mean one is incapable of recognizing and understanding the struggles of others. Many people in the U.S., especially older adults or those from disadvantaged backgrounds, are denied the care they deserve and need. Framing this act as the work of a privileged, narcissistic individual murdering for fame oversimplifies the issue. There are, in fact, people who genuinely care about more than just their own needs or desires.

So he’s not allowed to feel because he’s privileged?! 😅
Now I’m not saying what he did was right but you’re not going to use his “privilege” to act like he can not relate to the people he’s standing up for. Including his own self or family. We know nothing of any struggles he may have faced. Absolutely outrageous to act like his privilege means he’s not allowed to feel and see injustice!
The fact that majority of the public want him freed shows what he was shouting was the voice of the people! Also, how was he suppose to articulate himself properly when he’s got officers pushing him into walls and he has about 5secs to get his point across?! Ffs. 🙄
You CHOSE to not understand what he was saying because of that same privilege you say he has, you benefit from!

Maybe some insurance advocate who works on cases that are denied should educate all of us. People are dying because a computer belonging to United Healthcare denies their case over and over again, and no human is there to correct the mistake the machine makes. Ask the insurance advocate and you'll see who the criminals are. It seems that Luigi Mangione had this information and knew what United Healthcare was doing, compared to many of us who may or may not have the information.

I was offered a high paying position in the USA two years ago and turned it down because of the healthcare insurance wreck of a system there. I don't want to work for a country where my patients would be denied access to healthcare, medication and other basic rights.
I wonder why the frickin' American doctors kept silence all this time until a beautiful soul decided that enough was enough? They should be ashamed of themselves. They're also accountable for the death of the CEO.

Why do the insurance companies have to lose money? Why dont doctors give free health care and free surgeries?

    • @Switzermale
      @Switzermale 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

@AcmeRocket I'd do it gladly. I'm part of MSF, and I'm not saying this to brag, but I live in a wealthy society, I don't need to provide medical care for free. But I did it in other countries and will do it again. And I agree with you that doctors should not seek wealth but do their duty and honor the profession. Saving lives is what we should all aim for.
On the other hand, free medical checkups and surgeries won't do much good for some patients if they're denied access to medication and emergency assistance by their insurers, just like a farmer can't do much if there's no access to water. This is where American doctors can help...and this is also where they failed their fellow Americans.

I have a very similar injury that he has per a few Dr.’s I have seen speak on it so far. The pain is debilitating even after they “fix” it. Spinal cord injuries cause severe nerve pain and pain you cannot just get rid of. I am a chronic pain patient. I am 40. With this injury they do - PT, cortisone shots, heavy pain meds, surgery and none of them actually get rid of pain. I am not trying to be a contrarian at all. I just don’t think people realize that surgery does not relieve pain from this injury and it is severe. 😊

I just want to play devils advocate here... Why are the police trying to rush/shove him into a private area so he cannot speak to the media? Ive seen so many CourtTV videos where the police purposely walk the perp in front of cameras allowing media to antagonize so the perp makes a statement. I mean, idk if its just me but I immediately said to myself "what do they not want us to hear him say"? He wrote a note saying "I wasn't working with anyone"... that tells me he most definitely was working with someone. Someone who gave him the CEOs location and schedule. He's a young, educated man who comes from privilege. Mental disorder? Maybe... Who wakes up and decides to kill a specific business man for what reason? Ive read some things... about some powerful folks who had issues with this CEO. With the US having a history like Kennedy and even recently as Trump. You look at the patsy's in all these events... young individuals with almost no public info or history that are written off as "mentally ill" and then forgotten. Im not a conspiracy theorist but I have learned my lesson believing what the media spits out and almost every time I find out how I was completely lied to and manipulated. This man could have very well done it on his own....but I wouldn't be surprised if the truth was something else.
