I had another questions for this video 0:33 how would you make DK banner? 3:03 how would you make zombie wearing bowser masks? 3:50 how would you make banana banner? 4:08 how would you make block invisible
The banners you mention there were also made by following some guides online. The zombies with Bowser emblems are re-skins of zombies in my custom texture pack, and the invisible block is a re-texture of a block to be completely transparent. You have to pick a block that has some transparency to it already for the last one - I think I chose orange stained glass.
Wow, there certainly was a lot of action in this one! It's probably easier to portray than in the plush videos, at least in a way, though there's a lot that has to go right in the execution. I really loved the amount of Donkey Kong songs that were used in this as well! I'm so glad that DK finally made an appearance in your series, and it's a great one too! ^_^ *SPOILERS, PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE READING* It was a good idea to add the sound effects for taking out the swords and the bows, little things like that add to the experience. It was also smart of the Mario Bros. to take to the trees instead of approaching the entrance. They can see DK from afar, enjoying his new fruit, and then put their bows to good use, but their aim was a bit off (unless they were just trying to give DK a warning and a chance to hand the Eye over first). DK, seeing the danger, then escapes into the trees himself (also, I have to say the design of DK's throne is very good! Were you inspired by the second Super Mario Bros. Movie trailer, or the Super Nintendo World theme park when you built DK's jungle fort and throne? Or was it just an amazing coincidence? :D). When the bros. do go into the fort, they find DK has a bow as well, and he starts firing at them from above, so they bravely chase him up the same tree! Once at the top, they give chase across a bridge, which ends suspended in the air like a diving board over the river, and DK runs ahead and takes the plunge! I love how the bros. have a little hesitation before following; of course Mario is willing to dive, but it takes Luigi a moment! lol It was a great idea to switch to Luigi's point of view for the jump, it gave it a lot more impact, and his sound clips were great too, especially the echo effects at the end! XD Mario is all ready to move on, but I like how Luigi is still a bit shaken, and looks back up to see how far it was that he just jumped! lol Unfortunately, that hesitation bought DK enough time to get ahead, and the bros. have lost him. They soon hear what sounds a bit like DK ahead, but it turns out to be a parrot imitating him, which is a bit of a disappointment. But the parrot soon imitates a Zombie, and not long afterward, some Zombies under Bowser's control emerge from the jungle to attack the Mario Bros! (Nice, using the DKC boss music for the battle!) After taking some hits as well as giving them, Mario and Luigi win the fight! :) Mario then notices a trail of the fruit that DK was eating, and the bros. follow it to the entrance of a mine with minecarts! (Oh yeah, that's a staple of the DK series, the minecart levels! It was a perfect opportunity in the Minecraft world! :D) Mario and Luigi each hop aboard a minecart, and the ride begins; Mario is thrilled, and Luigi is terrified! XD How long did it take you to design the railways? Also, it was a nice touch to add Toad mining for treasure in the mines as the bros. ride by various spots. ^_^ After a bit, when Mario goes down a track, a turn suddenly shifts to an alternate route, causing Luigi to go down a different path! Mario is taken upward through a water spout, while Luigi falls down a long drop to a lower track! Mario emerges from the spout, a little waterlogged, but ready for what's ahead, while Luigi, is heading straight for a pool of boiling lava! :O Good thing he found a target, which switched the rails when he shot it with an arrow from his bow! It redirects him to safety. Mario's route brings him around parallel to another track, which he finds that DK is riding on! They draw their bows, and DK and shoots Mario with an arrow, while Mario returns fire, and the two fire arrows as the tracks go up and down and throw off their aims! Meanwhile, Luigi is lead to some bouncy slime pistons, which bounce his minecart up and around to a higher track. Mario and Donkey Kong ride out of the mines and come to a stop, and Luigi joins them a short time later by popping up from a hidden passage beside the exit! lol The three leave the minecarts and continue the battle, DK and Mario soon switch to swords, while Luigi fires the bow at the ape from a short distance. DK finds himself overwhelmed by the two brothers working together. Unknown to all of them, Kamek is watching from behind the trees above the mine, and also notices that DK is losing. The crafty Magikoopa decides to take matters into his own hands by firing a firework from a longbow into the jungle, which DK notices beforehand. The firework explodes and starts a fire in the trees! DK is horrified at Kamek's backstab, as DK's jungle will soon burn to the ground, with them in it! :( With a cackle, Kamek takes is leave back to his king. The fire starts spreading, as DK abandons the fight and tries to put it out, to no avail. He catches fire himself trying to put out the flames, there's no way he can stop it by himself. The kindhearted Mario Brothers decide to help DK save his home if they can. The three of them battle the fire, but it's a losing fight, as the fire spreads faster than they can put it out, and they also get themselves burned. Mario comes up with a plan, and explains it to DK, who agrees to work with them. They all run through the burning jungle back to DK's fort, where they find buckets and water to help them fight the fire! I love the fiery songs that were available from both Paper Mario and Donkey Kong Country Returns to tie these scenes together! ^_^ The three of them use the buckets of water and Minecraft physics to create a water shield all around DK's jungle fort to stop the flames from spreading there. Which was a great idea! I like how they work together, and Luigi even gets a little 'carried away'. XD In the end, the fire fizzles out, leaving a good chunk of the jungle burned, but DK's home is ultimately safe. :) The three of them celebrate together! ^_^ DK tells the Mario brothers that Kamek hired him to guard the Eye, but DK regrets trusting him after seeing how underhanded Kamek is in assuring victory: it almost cost DK his home and his own life. Mario and Luigi agree that that is how Kamek and Bowser do things, and share DK's frustration. DK no longer wants to help Kamek or Bowser, and gives the Eye to Mario. :) Mario and Luigi celebrate gaining the first Eye, and discuss what to do next. Luigi has an idea, and discusses his plan with DK. We turn to Princess Peach, whittling away the hours practicing fighting with a wooden dummy. She hears sounds outside her door, and learns that her Hammer Bro. Guard is also killing time by practicing throwing his hammers outside the door. Unfortunately for Peach, he's not going to be slacking on duty by leaving her door unguarded again anytime soon. Meanwhile DK enters Bowser's Castle, past the two Zombie Guards who let him through. DK enters the throne room to find Bowser and Kamek discussing their next move. Bowser is surprised that DK fell so soon and wonders how Mario found him, but assumes DK is simply reporting his defeat, and they go on to discuss that Koopa has the next Eye in Dry Dry Outpost. Bowser also shows off his new Skeleton guard, bragging how the Star Rod has given him control of them as well, and how he convinced them to wear Bowser badges on their ribcages, despite how they felt it didn't suit them. lol DK leaves to carry out the next part of Luigi's request, and heads to Peach's room, and the Hammer Bro. allows him to pass. Peach is scared of DK at first after he enters and shuts the door behind him, but DK assures her that he means her no harm, and is now on her and the Mario Bros.' side. Peach doesn't know how she can help while being under close guard, but DK tells her Luigi's idea: DK can pass information he learns onto her, and she can write it down for him to deliver to Mario and Luigi, which will hopefully not raise as much suspicion. Peach agrees to the plan and they carry it out. :) DK happens to meet Bowser while taking the letter to the delivery portal, though Bowser doesn't suspect anything at first. But he soon comes back, asking if DK knows how to read and write... DK slowly nods. Bowser then invites him to the minion book club, still not suspecting a thing! XD After he leaves DK is relieved that the plan worked and he goes on his way. Back with the Mario Bros. they receive the letter and head off to their next destination in the desert! Great work on this! With this and the Super Mario Movie too, it's great to see more things with Mario and DK working together! :D I hope DK can continue to help as an undercover spy, and I'm looking forward to what Koopa has in store for the bros. in the Minecraft version of Dry Dry Outpost! Keep up the all the awesome work, Goomzilla! ^_^
Thanks for the comment Yumi, glad you enjoyed DK's intro to the series! His throne was an original mish-mash of blocks, the main condition being it needed to have "DK" written on it :D with a clear red area for the seating. Luigi's jump was a fun bit of first person perspective to show how he was feeling with it... I think the railways took two evenings to build and film - we went for some DK inspiration with the floating rails and side-scrolling view! Luigi does indeed get "carried away" when they fight the fire, I see what you did there :P It was indeed a coincidence that the Mario movie had DK's alliance with Mario become such a prominent plot point - although I think the character of DK in the movie isn't as humble as I imagine our DK being (more inspired by his appearances in, for example, the Mario Party series). Hey Goomzilla I have a idea for you if you want to use it As you know Mario and Luigi uses hammers as weapons in some Mario games. And Axes in Minecraft look like one sided hammers It would be awesome to see them use those weapons in the series Again it’s cool either way but just wanted to point that out Thanks for reading this

So DK was brainwashed by Kamek, started to befriend Mario and Luigi then went to working for Bowser again? And I am looking forward to Part 3 and the next few parts this summer.
