Everyone wants at everyone's throats during the game, and as soon as it's over, it's hand shakes, pats, hugs, compliments... What a freaking game this was to watch!
What I liked the most about this game is that there was nothing dirty about it. The refs officiated properly (ignoring that weird icing call at the end), and prevented the players from going violent on both sides. We got real good, clean hockey out of this series. Exactly what this sport should be.

Kind of like 1971 when the Habs brought in Ken Dryden. He played six games in the regular season, owned the net through the playoffs and won the SC. Following year he brought home the Calder Trophy. Hope Caulfield's career runs as deep.
I think we all knew it was going to be a tight game and it could've went either way but, I felt like the stars were in alignment for our boys right from the beginning!
Congrats to the Habs from a VGK fan. They consistently proved throughout the entire playoffs they belong. Hard battles fought during this series but Vegas just wasn't hungry enough compared to the Habs. Too many turnovers, not enough bodies in front of the net at key times, and Price being an absolutel wall. Next year brings another opportunity for Vegas but until then good luck to the Habs. It'll be an interesting matchup in the finals no hockey fan expected.

Kind of like 1971 when the Habs brought in Ken Dryden. He played six games in the regular season, owned the net through the playoffs and won the SC. Following year he brought home the Calder Trophy. Hope Caulfield's career runs as deep.
I think we all knew it was going to be a tight game and it could've went either way but, I felt like the stars were in alignment for our boys right from the beginning!
Congrats to the Habs from a VGK fan. They consistently proved throughout the entire playoffs they belong. Hard battles fought during this series but Vegas just wasn't hungry enough compared to the Habs. Too many turnovers, not enough bodies in front of the net at key times, and Price being an absolutel wall. Next year brings another opportunity for Vegas but until then good luck to the Habs. It'll be an interesting matchup in the finals no hockey fan expected.
