After watching the videos in order and doing a lot of research I finally understand the storyline. Josh and Carolina are young lovers, so they really don't know what they're doing and they get married. Josh is blind with love, he doesn't see who Carolina truly is. He introduces her to Ian, Mike and Matt, but they see right through her. Carolina doesn't like that, points a gun at them and drags Josh off. They start stealing money, and one day, Carolina is going to steal something and leaves Josh in the car. The rest of the band find him, and beat him up. Josh finally realizes who Carolina is, and things go downhill pretty quickly. He tries to break it off, and Carolina drives him away somewhere no one will find him and kills him and leaves. The rest of the band find him, and take him away. Josh doesn't understand, so as it says at the end he "makes up a new story to make sense of it all" hence the past videos. Haven't have enough, is when he meets Carolina, and she drags him into her trap. Fallout, he's in the midst of the trap and even in the midst of explosions, he doesn't seem to notice, and still loves Carolina, until the end when he realizes who she is. In desperate measures, he's still under her control, but he eventually breaks free. In stutter, he meets Porcelain, and they have to hide their love from Carolina, whilst trying to defeat her, and eventually they escape and they are free to love. That is the fairytale ending, the fairytale ending he deserved. There is no Porcelain, there is no love, and he doesn't escape or defeat Carolina. He dies. His "story" should end at the end of desperate measures, because in real life Caroline kills him after they break up. But he's dying, he's trying to re write his story, make it okay and understandable, so he created Porcelain. The one thing I don't understand is that key... Can someone explain it?

Makes everything just so sad.
In the CD there's an actual story written about these songs, but the ending is that he and Porcelain lived happily ever after. In these videos he showed something totally different. He showed that living happily ever after is probably not possible. It was a totally new outlook and I didnt even realize it until i watched the videos again 2 years later. This is why they're my favorite band.

I seriously LOVE these guys' work. Every word says what, sometimes, I can't seem to express. And I can't help but dance listening to the faster paced stuff. This one absolutely broke my heart.
This video is so rough, When Josh is talking you can hear the pain in his voice and in some scenes you can see he's tired out and is so pained by all of this and it really gets to me. I just can't handle seeing and feeling all of the pain he's had to go through.

This video is so rough, When Josh is talking you can hear the pain in his voice and in some scenes you can see he's tired out and is so pained by all of this and it really gets to me. I just can't handle seeing and feeling all of the pain he's had to go through.
You cannot deny the beauty of the whole video. I already liked By Now a lot, now I LOVE it. The Ever After album is a masterpiece, and the music videos are masterpieces too.
