  • We'll go over the main conversion factors you need for enthalpy stoichiometry, after this, you will find thermochemical equations a lot simpler! Plus I'll go over major keywords like heat absorbed or heat released and how they affect our enthalpy change.

    I just want to thank you Melissa. I'm a returning adult student and never taken any chemistry. Our professor just talks on an advanced level he doesn't understand that we need it broken down on a simpler level. You are gifted, thank you for getting me through chemistry. If there are a recent spikes in subscribing to your channel it's cause I'm telling everyone in class how amazing your videos are 😜

    When multiplying to get both the magnesium and the oxygen to balance out, wouldn't the oxygen change to 4 when you times it by 2?

    • @melissamaribel
      @melissamaribel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Shuat, so we never multiply the subscripts and the coefficient for balancing. The magnesium is the only one that has that 2 in front. I recommend reviewing some more balancing equations, I recommend these videos:

    How many kilojoules are given off when 17.8 mol of CH4(g) react?
    CH4(g) + 2O2(g) → CO2(g) + 2H2O(ℓ) ΔH = −890.1 kJ please this solve because I don't understand help me
