Get 1-2 years work experience during your tenure during school and you’ll be very marketable. 75k/year right out school as an operations analyst. just wanted to gain others thoughts on this: Does anyone else not like how much healthcare has turned into TOO much of a business so much so that it starts to seem like certain companies that manufacture specific prescription drugs tend to jack up their prices knowing their consumers who need said pharmaceutical drugs to maintain a healthy day to day when healthcare should be about exactly what it says. Healthcare, not profits per say. I don't know. I can't be the only one who must feel this way and I for one am not opposed to sharing my personal standpoint on this. BUT, amazing video Calvin, this has really been extremely informative for someone like myself who is fascinated by ALL things business and have decided to go back to school for my business degree and simply and trying to get a head start on figuring out what I may be able to do with it.

Raw materials in and finished product out. I spent most of my career employed by a paper mill, enjoyed the work and earned a decent salary. Making things move by truck, rail, ocean vessel and aircraft- it's just cool work.

You're getting investment bankers confused with portfolio managers. Bankers don't actually invest money, they raise capital, handle IPOs and serve as advisors on buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions. It's an advisory role, not an investment role.

jesse rollins how do they expect you to have experience if it’s a starting position, that I’ll never understand. You should definitely salary negotiate, I’ll be getting my business degree at a school that’s top 10% in America so I would ask for mid 50s if the starting salary was mid 40s.. I might even get closer to asking 60.

John Doe good luck man - I’ll tell you without experience it’s a pain in the fucking ass to just try and get the top of their salary range - most places will absolutely not go above for anyone unless they have experience. I just got a new job a couple months ago and got top range but they would not go above that and this was at a large company - good luck w your degree and job search I wish you the best!

Investment banking doesn't make any decision about resources allocations. They are more like advisories. If you want to know what an investment banker do search about its specifics roles ( M&A, ECM and DCM).

Kensii E. No you would have to major in healthcare administration or management if you want to take that path. I’m going for my masters next year and most health care jobs want you to know medical terms and nursing care in the homes within hospitals a simple business degree wouldn’t give you the information on what u need to run a hospital or a clinic.

Can you explain a bit more about a major called agribusiness. A major that focuses on agriculture. My jr college SRJC offer's it as a minor and I am planning on taking it since I work in the cannabis industry and I want to move up in the company in the future, but since it is a minor, I will have to get my b.a in another college but I will probably focus my major in a accounting by then.
