Very well done indeed Christina, a wonderful set of videos charting your journey. So many of this type of video are more about the person doing it than they are about the trail itself, and you've managed to get the emphasis the other way round, which made your videos so much more enjoyable. You should be very proud of yourself !
I am so going to miss your videos. They have been great and thank you so much for sharing. All the best for your journey home and I’m looking forward to watching your next adventure.
Pure dead brilliant! Well done and thank you for putting out your videos. I love that your kit and food is very much mentioned only incidentally, you focus on the journey. I look forward to following your adventures in Spring next year!
We cried at the end when the hotel owner gave you a hug. So happy for you. Many Congratulations on your achievement. We loved watching each day. Thank you so much for bringing these videos to us. Wishing you a safe onward journey home. Please say hi to BoBo... now to catch up on your coast to coast videos. Caroline & Graham (East Yorkshire) - we live close to the Yorkshire Wolds Way Trail
@@hikersheep Glad you arrived home safe. We moved here last year (from Suffolk), loving the area & wildlife. We spotted dolphins off the coast today! I'm assuming you use a GoPro and edit the footage on your iPhone? Loving your coast to coast videos and learning so much. Thank you & wishing you many more happy adventures.
I think you will be very Happy when I tell you this.... IF you had started the Pennine Way ONE WEEK later than you did, you would have found the Last TWO DAYS a lot harder. "Wow" Amazing well done thanks for sharing your experiences and bringing back memories for when I did the P/W many years ago. Incredible achievement especially at this time of year looking forward to watching your videos next year safe trip home.
Hi Christina, I’ve just binged watched your Pennine Way adventure 2024. I live 3 miles from Kirk Yetholm and now have a new respect and awe for those I see arrive at their Border Inn destination! Well done and thank you for sharing. Great footage and music too🎉❤x

It must be close to FIFTY YEARS since I first hiked the Pennine Way in 1975 yet I can still remember hiking that section and my half pint of Beer at the Kirk Yetholme Pub at the end of a 12 hr hike. Congratulations my hiking friend Tony in Essex
And finally we now have 3 Hikes in Common, Coast to Coast, the Pennine Way and I did a One day hike along the Appalation Trial on my first visit to the USA in 1978 while visiting two chat buddies who live nearby in the Roanoke area.
A classic Pennine day, boggy, claggy and beautiful. Congratulations. The PW is hard any time of year but completing it in November is a real achievement.
Well done Christina that mud was a case of triumph over adversity. But you made it and by the time you read this I expect you will be back home with BoBo and the boss. Thank you for keeping us entertained through this and the other walks you have done. Your tenacity is amazing congratulations.
You saved the best video until last Christina - an amazing achievement to hike the Pennine Way in 15 days with a 27 mile final day. Well done - I am in awe of what you have achieved - and you filmed and released awesome and inspiring videos has you hiked. How you kept going through that mud and water paths we have no idea. Your heart must have sank. Hopefully you are starting to recover. Safe journey home and thankyou for sharing this epic walk.
Thank you for watching. The bog and mud were crazy!! Every step was wet. But the short daylight hour was the biggest challenge honestly. I felt like I was in a rush everyday. Didnt have time to take a break or eat.
Congratulations! Great videoing and backgound music. I tried to hike the Pennine Way in August 1968, starting from Kirk Yetholm, but had to give up near Alston when my feet gave out; wearing heavy mountaineering boots probably didn't help. Once again congrats, and remember "Easy Trail Bobo".

Wow!! I feel so emotional seeing you complete this massive feat of endurance solo. It’s an immense walk anyway, but to do it at this time of year through rain and wind and awful bogs. You truly are an inspiration to me and my plans for several Scottish trails next year. What a legend 👏🏻 🙌🏻 ❤️
Congratulations Christina on finishing the PW!!! I know that last section can be a long, tough, but very picturesque walk. I’ve always taken a left at the Dere Street border gate to Jedburgh. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and good luck next year on Hadrian’s and the CW.
Hello Christina, what a great undertaking, and so professionally undertaken. The last day was tough we can all see that, but what a greeting you got from the hotel owners such nice people. Nice photography over all 15 days, you should be very proud of yourself. My Best Wishes to you and Ben and hope to see you both back soon. Regards, Andrew.
Thank you so much!! Yea the hugs from James and Julie made me get emotional. And all of a sudden, I felt all the exhaustion, light-headedness and hunger. Ill be back April 23, 2025.
Hi Again Christina. Chemo Pete here again! Congratulations on such an awesome effort - especially your final day. I was up at Byrness back in June with the Spine and have a good idea of what the last leg was like - and you just smashed it! Having been feeling lousy for the last week you gave me the impetus to get down on the south west coast path with my dogs this morning and although it was a tiny walk I just felt about a 1000 times better. Again, a significant part of that was your influence over the last 15 days. Thanks again. I hope you have a safe journey home and that your dog is as pleased to go out walking with you as mine were this morning! I think you said that next year's plan includes the South West Coast Path - when you get down towards West Cornwall it would be great to meet up. Stay safe and thanks again. Pete
Nature theraphy, Pete!! Im glad you went out hiking with your dog. And I hope youre feeling better. I am now planning my 2025 UK trip. Im still not sure how long things will take so all the plans are tentative to change. But if I do make it to SWCP, of course, we must try to meet up.
Wow what are we going to do now! The hills have been alive with the sound of music and singing. Top that! Congratulations on completing the walk Christina. Hope you signed the log book!
I didnt sign any log book. 😭 No time to do anything. I felt i was rushing the whole time to beat the sunset. Imma redo the trail in another month for sure
Absolutely outstanding achievement ‘Hiker sheep and BoBo’. You had me in tears at the finish Border Hotel. I watched every day's adventures on a trail I only managed around 70 miles in the 60s. Your courage and determination is an example to all who share the love and solitude of the hills. I hope you have many more adventures - and take your husband next time God willing… Pete
Thank you, Pete!! I wouldnt take my husband on the Pennine Way. He would hate it. He only likes 'easy trail Bobo' where it's dry, maybe paved, and flat 🤣🤣🤣. So I dont mind doing the hard trail alone and allow him to come on the South Downs Way or Cotswold Way next year. 😃
Beautiful ending to a remarkable journey. Have been following you since your UK adventures began, and will anticipate the future attempts of exploring Britain. The ending summary of the Pennine video clips brought tears as I felt like I had personally done the steps and struggles with you, but stayed mud free and dry at home. Congratulations!
@@loisfreeberg-hagen616 Really? You felt like you personally done the steps with me? Thats amazing! That is my goal why I made videos on the go. Im happy i reached my goal. :) Currently planning my UK spring/summer hikes
I've been following your trip from the start, but thought I'd wait till the end to write a comment. To tackle & complete the PW solo at this time of year, and in such style is a real achievement. And that last day in those wet, boggy conditions probably made 27 miles feel like 47. It was so moving watching you arrive at The Border Hotel in the dark. Great videos as well. Thanks for taking us along 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you for watching and writing your comment! That 27 miles was tough with not much food. No time to eat!! I didnt want to be on the hills when it's dark. Yea, the short daylight was challenging.
Fantastic achievement, well done Christina, you certainly didn’t dilly dally and you most certainly cracked on. We loved your whole Pennine Way journey and look forward to seeing your UK hiking videos next year. Tim & Selina
You f…ing smashed it girl. A big thank you. Your videos and photos etc were brilliant. I’ll be watching your next adventures in the UK, I’m definitely going to do PW next summer.
Awe Inspiring!! Incredible accomplishment and thank you for taking me along on your journey with your video diary. It's the closest I'll get to the PW! It was a grand finale of perseverance and wits! Impressive feat! 🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations Christina. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching your journey. What tenacity you showed to achieve your goal. Fantastic videos each day. Well done again and thank you for sharing.
Outstanding Christina! Courage, determination and an incredible effort to do that. Liked the videography and the music score. I'm looking forward to your next adventure and will be with you for every step. Safe journey home. Pete
Out on the moors in the mist, dark, bogs and cold for 15 days is a real test physically and mentally. When she reached the end we were reaching for the tissues. I take my hat off to you Christina.
An amazing achievement all round but hats off to a final 27 miles day! I've enjoyed your journey along the Pennine Way and it brought back many memories of my own trip, so thanks for that. All the very best in your future endeavours - keep on keeping on! ✊
Thank you so much!! That final 27 miles day was really really tough. The boggest challenge was rushing to get it done in the short daylight hour i got. Ill keep on keeping on!
Spent a great final night insideAuchope hut after a miserable wet day. Well done on completing a superb trail! The Pennine way is 60 years old next year as am I. Planning to walk it again to celebrate
Hiker Sheep you did it! well done, I've enjoyed watching your journey in (almost) real time, absolutely brilliant and another big (for the UK) one ticked off the list! You did some big miles, congrats. Love the videos as always

Byrness to KY in one day, that is brilliant. I have finished twice but both times had to use the refuge hut site. Well done and safe journey home to Bobo. All your posts show the tough challenge that it is and I have enjoyed every one.
Thank you so much for watching!! Im already planning my next trip which includes Csmbrian Way starting April 25, Offa's Dyke Path May 17 and Pennine Way again May 29. :)
So much respect for you, incredible achievement! I totally understand your love for hiking in the UK, but doing this in 15 days, alone and in november: that's really next level! Safe travels!
Brilliant! I don't know you but feel so proud of you. The last stretch can be a bummer at any time, but to hike the full length in one day at that time of the year, that's a real achievement! The walking in darkness section was really great too. I had to sleep the night in the Auchope mountain hut earlier this year, the weather was truly awful, high winds and blinding in-my-face heavy rain. And the look on your face when the landlord hugged you, was priceless!! I hope your husband buys you a BIG CAKE when you get home!
Thank you Christina, absolutely fabulous. Enjoyed every second of your videos. I only wish I was young enough to have a go, I’m 76. Thanks again, already looking forward to your next walks. Please let me know your plans for 2025. Congratulations.
Thank you Keith! You can do PW in short sections if you want. More enjoyable that way. :) I will reveal my UK hiking plan as soon as I finalize it. Ill one tough trail, and medium-difficulty one. Then my husband will join me for the easier ones. :)
Big smile on my face to see you finish the Pennine way loved watching your epic adventure everyday Congrats Christina & No more Bogs!!! for while rest your feet
Hi Christine congratulations on your epic walk in such dreadful weather. I did the Pennine way 52 years ago in 1972 I had very similar weather to yourself but had some sunny days between Gargrave and Alston. There where no stone slabs or boardwalks when I did it but still had a lot bogs and mud. On the second day met up with Bob and Nancy and their 3 teenage children from Vermont and walked with them until Bellingham were stayed one extra in the hotel there . I still have very happy memories of the Pennine Way. You have given a very enjoyable 15 days watching your progress in some cases I was a bit worried about you coping with all the Misty days you encountered. I now live only 37 miles from Kirk Yetholm in Scotland. Cheers Robert.
Brilliant.......your video and hike brought back memories and a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye esp at the end when James hugged you......Julie and James are lovely people, you can be immensely proud of yourself, well done😁👍👍👍👍👍
Oh my word you deserve standing ovation so you do!!! I teared up when you walked into that Hotel! That owner was so lovely to you what a grand welcome! So about those shoes...you wearing them on the plane back home or putting them in the rubbish bin?!!! I can only imagine how stinky they must be!!! Absolutely spiffing video the mountains really came alive on that last day! And Ima gonna do this one next April I think!
What a tough lady you are Christina to do that hike on these short daylight days is amazing, thankyou for taking us along i have loved watching your videos and i look forward to next year when you come back.
That was a seriously impressive journey. I've done many of the sections individually over the years and in much better weather than you have endured. That last day across the Cheviots is hard going, I did it the other way around in mid summer and it was hard work. I'll miss your daily updates, but wow what a strong woman. Well done! And thank you. Go home and see Bobo now.
That last 27 miles would be much easier in the spring with more daylight hours. I would have more time to stop and eat, take a break, sing on the hills and not feel rushed to beat the sunset.🙄
Another epic hike Christina you are an inspiration. The fact that you keep coming back tells me you get so much from the British country side that it’s like a drug healing your soul even though you have some tough days . I know the country side and coasts have that impact on me. Bravo, looking forward to the next one all the best David
Many years ago while camping/hutting the Pyrenees I often found mostly burnt out candles in huts. With a bit of work these were mashed into new candles with various imaginative forms of wicks, such as dried twigs which worked for a while. I left a few boxes of matches and rice for the next person who passed by.

👏 👏 🎉 I told my daughter what an inspiration you are clap 👏 🙌 ❤️
Fantastic achievement, well done Christina, you certainly didn’t dilly dally and you most certainly cracked on. We loved your whole Pennine Way journey and look forward to seeing your UK hiking videos next year. Tim & Selina
Hahaha!! I guess my motto is "CRACK ON, NO DILLY DALLY OR LOLLY GAGGING!"
Very well done indeed..I always wanted to do it, only done small sections.. It's an amazing achievement.. you're very strong mentally 😊💓
Thank you. All my previous thru-hiking experience has made me tougher, physically and mentally
You f…ing smashed it girl. A big thank you. Your videos and photos etc were brilliant. I’ll be watching your next adventures in the UK, I’m definitely going to do PW next summer.
Uuu....good luck on your PW hike next summer. Ill be doing another tough trail and a few other mild ones in the UK. Still in planning phase. :)
Many congratulations on finishing the Pennine Way. I've started watching your videos from this one, so have to go back to the start!!
You watched the last episode first? Lol
Awe Inspiring!! Incredible accomplishment and thank you for taking me along on your journey with your video diary. It's the closest I'll get to the PW! It was a grand finale of perseverance and wits! Impressive feat! 🎉🎉🎉
Lucinda!! Thanks for watching. I hope you and cat are entertained. :)
😢😢 that HUG oh such a beautiful welcome! Well-done gal, you rock ❤
Yea!! I got so emotional when James and Julie hugged me. And all of a sudden, I felt sooo exhausteddd
Congratulations Christina. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching your journey. What tenacity you showed to achieve your goal. Fantastic videos each day. Well done again and thank you for sharing.
Thank you for following and for your support. Currently planning my 2025 UK trip. Ill be staying in the UK for over 2 months! Yayyy
Brilliant. Well done. If you do that section again pack a pair of wellies😊
Not carrying wellies to hike. My feet are trained to be wet all day. Day in day out. Hehe.
Thank you so much!!! I needed tissue too at the end....and a big huge fish and chips. :)
Well done, Christina, that was epic. I have watched a few of your vids, now, and I know you are a serious hiker and one tough cookie!
Thank you. I loooovvveee hiking so much and I looovvveee the UK so much!! Combining the 2 loves are heavenly to me. 🥰
Planning to walk it again to celebrate
oh I didn't know it was 60 y/o...me too...even more reason for me to hop onto it next year as well!
Congratulations! Well done!
Hiker Sheep you did it! well done, I've enjoyed watching your journey in (almost) real time, absolutely brilliant and another big (for the UK) one ticked off the list! You did some big miles, congrats. Love the videos as always

Hi Richard. Oh yes, I saw you on fb. Thanks for the friend request. Bobo has big nose and always slobbery so yea, I got big slobbery kiss from Bobo everyday. Lol.
Congratulations, Christina ,loved your journey. Brought back great memories thankyou
Thank you so much for watching!! Im glad you enjoyed
So much respect for you, incredible achievement! I totally understand your love for hiking in the UK, but doing this in 15 days, alone and in november: that's really next level! Safe travels!
Thank you. :) I am comfortable hiking alone. But the biggest challenge was the short daylight hour. 😏
Wonderful trail walk adventure 😄
@@Robert-u5h6k wowww Robert. I cannot imagine doing the Pennine Way without stone slabs!! You sank every step in bog, didnt you
Well done. Enjoyed watching it. Safe travels.
Nice one.all best😊
Superb..................Thanks again...(Alan Ramsey)
Congratulations on another successful hike. I enjoy watching each hike you undertake. CARPE DIEM
@@dreamcatcherga thank you so much for watching. Currently planning my next hike. :)
Brilliant.......your video and hike brought back memories and a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye esp at the end when James hugged you......Julie and James are lovely people, you can be immensely proud of yourself, well done😁👍👍👍👍👍
❤️❤️❤️ i got emotional when James and Julie gave me a hug. I felt safe, relieved, accomplished. And all of a sudden, i felt soooo exhausted
Congratulations on completing another trail. See you next year!
Can't wait!
Girl....dont do this trail unless you like mud bath. I heard putting mud mask can improve your skin? Lol
That was amazing. You are a huge inspiration. It was tough. Congratulations.
Well done, I’m going to miss your PW videos, safe home to Ben and Bobo x
Another epic hike Christina you are an inspiration. The fact that you keep coming back tells me you get so much from the British country side that it’s like a drug healing your soul even though you have some tough days . I know the country side and coasts have that impact on me. Bravo, looking forward to the next one all the best David
Many years ago while camping/hutting the Pyrenees I often found mostly burnt out candles in huts. With a bit of work these were mashed into new candles with various imaginative forms of wicks, such as dried twigs which worked for a while. I left a few boxes of matches and rice for the next person who passed by.
A grand finale to a grand adventure. Congratulations
Thanks Christina. I've really enjoyed following your journey!
Thanks for watching!
Congratulations. Fantastic achievement. I admire you
Thank you very much!
