Hi mate. Just wanted to mention that you need to be really careful no wires come into contact with the exposed pipe behind the panel you removed in the passenger foot well as it gets red hot and could easily melt through insulation and cause a short.
They are quite cool. I haven't looked in the owners manual but which fuse were the original interior lights on? Would it not have been easiest to use that same fuse so they function (on and off) as the standard ones do?
Aha to be honest it probably would have been easier, not sure I've seen a fuse for it but a very good shout. Do the original footwell bulbs not turn off once the door is closed though? That might cut lower to the ambient lights? Not sure food for thought! Thanks for the comment!
So they are always on, however on the app you are able to turn them off or turn the lighting down. They also remmeber your last setting so if you set then a certain colour they will stay that colour next time. I tend to just leave mine in disco mode and let them do whatever they want aha
Yeah potentially, small cable ties will be a bit more secure especially above your pedals though... Don't want no RGB disco lights getting stuck under your brakes aha Give it a try. I believe in your sticking ability
@@CarRambles on second thoughts, there doesn’t seem to be any decent flat surfaces to stick onto with the tape so will definitely use cable ties. At 9:44 how the hell did you manage to feed the cable tie up through that tiny hole and then back down again hahah
Hi Just come across this video! Would these fit MK7 fiesta? Also you mentioned that there is a glovebox additional to it, is that the “add interior kit” part online? Is this also for inside the glovebox or a strip that pokes light through? Sorry for all the questions!
Yeah this kit only needs a fuse. So would definitely work on yours. As for the glovebox light. Personally I don't think you'll need it with this kit as they are so bright :)
@Brian_44 Mine is a Focus so maybe it is different wiring but the interior ambient lights are on when leaving or entering the vehicle or when the lights are on at dark etc.
Nope. It's simply an ignition live, so when the car turns on, power goes to the dashcam and rear light cluster. This turns the dashcam on for the drive :)
So I’m thinking about doing this to my vehicle and I was wondering if I were to tap into the instrument cluster fuse would the lights turn on whenever the dash is on? On my vehicle the dash lights up when I unlock it and I thought it would be pretty cool to turn them on from a distance, have them stay on and then once the vehicle and dash are off the lights turn off.
Hey, it remembers what you saved it as, so I mainly run a solid red and never have to touch the app, however when I'm feeling a bit saucy go full disco. :)
Na you should obviously tell them like any change to your car, just mention it's interior lights changed if you do end up telling them. Modified insurance companies won't care / so it won't add money to the premium

I have a 2019 fiesta and the only 7.5 fuses are on constantly do you have any help please?
Which fuse type did you use broski?

Awesome info, will check it out tomorrow! Thanks for potentially saving me!
Hi good vid do they keep the last colour choice in the app as there are comments on auto beam website saying they always convert back to red cheeres
They kept my function since I got them. I have them random light mode and everything I've got in the car and drive it's like a disco
@@CarRambles thanks for the reply I shall be ordering some keep up the good work m8 great channel

@@CarRambles fair enough. I haven't looked in to it so can't say if the footwell lights turn off once the door closes, not something I have noticed.
@@fordyford yeah me neither aha. If you find out let me know, if I find out I'll give you a shout out and let you know in a video aha
Question, do they turn on and off like regular footwell lights or are they on all the time? Cheers in advance!

@@CarRambles awesome, cheers for the help!
My pleasure
why are there so many “not used” fuses? does that mean they’re powered but nothing is in them? or are they just literally pointless
For different models, add-ons, saves them making a bespoke fuse box for every car model and variant they create
Car Rambles so the spare ones can be used to install things like this?
Completely depends if there wires going to the back of the fuse box or not..
Just bought the footwell bulbs from autobeam in red, are they literally plug and play? Haven’t see any videos only seen the ambient kit
Yeah they will probably be just the replacement ones, will be just changing a bulb :)
Car Rambles I think that’s within my capabilities 😅😂 thanks mate
@@simonhaley103 I believe in you! Contact me on Instagram of you need help aha
How did you get on replacing the footwell bulbs to red?
It really is plug and play if it's just the bulbs
Hi love it 😊 does autobeam do one for 2018 Ford Focus ST
I'm sure these would fit a focus no problem, at the end of the day it's a light bar that goes to your fuse box :)
Hi mate, do you think using double sided adhesive tape would work instead of using the cable ties?
Yeah potentially, small cable ties will be a bit more secure especially above your pedals though... Don't want no RGB disco lights getting stuck under your brakes aha

Could you not just wire these into the existing footwell lights?
@Brian_44 Mine are on whenever it is dark outside.

If you have your dashcam wired to brakelight fuse the cam will only work when you press brake pedal ???????

You can tap into whatever you want mate :) just find the correct wire :)
Hello, does it memorizes your last setup or do you have to put your favorite color each time it turns on ?

That’s cool as fuck mate but most importantly a very well explained video I feel comfortable to do this myself now on my kuga st line
I'm glad I could help and this is one of my older videos! Glad it still does the job! Enjoy the disco!
