If not, do you know where I can find one or instructions. • I am looking to get just the codes from particular interviewees and I just need their codes and themes - and not the extract of the codes. Is there anyway of exporting a filtered coding from say particular interviewees or files? Please let me know if you have any ideas.

What about the participant's names in a focus group? Instead of the name of the file, I need the name of the person talking in the transcript. Can I export that?
You can customise reports to add fields so a standard formatted report. See this video: th-cam.com/video/N7rDsK4Nkvk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=T-YpOLKz-2lwV-KI Alternatively, you could turn on your coding stripes for cases and the speaker's name will appear adjacent to each comment. You can print the transcript with coding stripes displayed to Word, PDF or paper. I hope this helps.

I have replied to this question by direct email as the answer was too long for posing in this forum. In summary: All you need is a Framework Matrix to give you what you need. This tool is more commonly used for conducing 'Framework Analysis'; a recognised data analysis method (Ritchie & Spencer, 1994), but can be used in a broader context and would suit your purpose very well. Here is a link to a short video showing the steps. You need to look in particular at the 'auto-summarize' feature to populate the cells with content and please note* notwithstanding the name, it does not summarise, but places all comments in the cell: qdatraining.com/using-the-framework-matrix-grid-in-nvivo/

I don't have a "Reports" option below visualizations option. I am using a Mac, 1.7.1 (4844)
There is no report writer as yet on the MAC version of NVivo I'm afraid. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
