    Actually proverbs does instruct a woman to work who are married. It says her hands are supposed to work and get up early. So just to be clear it is OK for your wife to work that is scripture based. But her work does not have to be something she hates or has to do to be able to support the home is what they're saying

    Mal and I are around the same age... at the time of this comment I'm 44 and I think Mal is 43... he's from Chicago... I'm from St. Louis... we both came up in the Crack, Affirmative Action, Welfare, Gang, and Strong Section 8 era in the 80's and 90's my mother was married then had me... my dad died when I was 2... my mother was a single mother for 42 years of my life...I NEVER had a man Stress to me what Mal was saying at 52:28 mark ... And it's factually documented that I am not alone!!! That being said because men with my simular circumstance in addition to the strong black woman narrative, I admittedly can say that you can look at a Woman as an income stream...But, when you have proper guidance, mentorship, leadership you come to understand that Being a Man is a huuuuuggggeeee weight/role/and responsibility but, the proper teaching establishes a hunger and mentality in you to embrace and accept the challenge and the weight of putting your Wife and Family on your Back and Shoulders! #My2Cents

    What's also crazy to me is that first comment that Mal read makes me wonder if that is a person who even listen ls to the pod and if so they are not getting anything out of it. What a shame after everything and all the nuggets you guys have dropped, it seems like people are still not getting it.

    I appreciate these Kings so much! This episode should clear up any confusion around the 'your wife should stay home' conversation. If you want a true helpmate, she should be able to CHOOSE how she helps and not forced to be an additional income stream! #Periodt

    To put this in a different perspective. I think I understand that as a man he needs to be able to create so his wife won't have to outside of her field.
    As a woman I do create but it's never because I have to. I do agree with you all. Also living within your means is the best gift we have in America. I was taught to live off one income and allow the other incomes work for you.

    To the person who made the comment about money/two incomes, it's not totally about the money it's about being treated as a precious jewel, it's about being attentive, helpful around the house, taking the initiative to be thoughtful and romantic, to have open communication , to be thankful and appreciated, not being taken for granted, ignored, given the silent treatment, not expecting the wife to do EVERYTHING while they do the bare minimum

    They raise some valid points but I think they out of touch. Them pay checks that ET gives them must have made them forget that money doesn’t grow on trees. Who doesn’t want to retire their spouse if that’s their choice. Easier said than done! I work full time in corporate and own a business on the side, so I understand the grind and pressure of life.
    It’s something about people in the 1% lecturing the rest of the world about not being in the financial position to retire their wives just doesn’t sit well with me.

    • @thomasking1748
      @thomasking1748 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      E.T doesn’t pay Jemal. Jemal’s MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME pays Jemal. Jemal retired his wife in 2001 when he was making $36,000 a year as a Chicago police officer that leveraged that (Earned income stream) and purchased a rental property giving him (Rental income stream) which allowed him to retire his Queen! How do I know this?? Cause this is Jemal🤷🏽‍♂️💪🏾 we’re not lecturing my brother we’re TEACHING and EXPOSING 👊🏽

    • @DansChessLounge
      @DansChessLounge 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@thomasking1748I appreciate your response brotha and congrats to you and all the success that you’ve achieved but you are the exception.
      According to the US Census, just 6% of Black adults in the U.S. have an annual earnings of $100,000. The numbers don’t lie Jemal. Not trying to be a Debbie downer bro, I enjoy y’all podcast. I just think we need to be realistic about how difficult what y’all are challenging us brothers to do. My wife and I are both college graduates, work full time and own businesses on the side and are no where close to financial freedom. So I can only speak on my experiences, but congrats to you bro.

    • @ezeejackster
      @ezeejackster 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You must have forgot Jemal started this when he was making less than you were as a Chicago police officer?

      @@DansChessLoungeBro, trust me when I tell you that you can do it! Matter of fact you can do wayyyyy more than what I’ve ever done because you have the type of exposure that wasn’t available when I done this 24 years ago. One of The reason why it’s 6% is because of the lack of our belief, The lack of our exposure and the lack of our knowledge. Appreciate you bro! Nothing but love.👊🏽
