Looks like a fun blue run. See what you mean about the switchbacks, but mine are no better when I do the trail centres (Not that often). What happened at 10:30? Luck
Clipped the inside edge with my front tyre that just pushed me offline. Couldn't get back on line and the run off to the right was downhill so when I put my foot down, whaaaay!
The worse they had here was a red and it wasn't too bad. Everything in the video is blue and whilst there is a fair bit of going down, there was also a lot of up!
Hi mate I'm getting a new bike soon and don't know what to get. I would like a mtb as I would go on trails but are they any good on the road ? as I would need to go on the road sometimes haha. And what 29er do u have ? Thanks mate
mtb can be used on roads, but the thing is , they got thick wheels and are not as good on the roads like city bikes, hence the thick wheels that gribs more
If you want a MTB for trails and roads I'd say get a hardtail - full suspension is generally heavier, more expensive & takes more effort to cycle. You can use knobbly MTB tyres on the road without any problems - people expect them to have less grip because of the knobbles reducing tyre-to-road surface area, but their width makes up for that. The main drawback is that knobblies wear out quicker on the road. Ideally, you'd have a second set of wheels with road tyres that you can swap over as needed - or better yet, a second bike ;) P.S - if you are looking at buying a new hardtail for under £600, or a new full-suspension bike for under £1200, consider very carefully what you are actually buying - the difference between sub-standard and entry level bikes is staggering.
Draycos knobbly mtb tyres gribs the road a lot compared to a city bike etc cause of the wide tires and so on, it is easier and smoother to ride a city bike with smaller tires on a road, was that what i meant with my comment at least, even though mtb bikes can be ridden everywhere. just more comfortable with a city bike if you ride on roads a lot :)
EliteScenes I wouldn't ride that trail on a CX, some routes are fine, but CX is more about offroad mud than heavy stones and gravel. Your arms will probably vibrate off your body if you don't have at least front suspension to descend like that, it really takes it out of your hands and wrists.
urban Cyclegaz hits the MTB trails - what an unexpected treat video! :)
Those trails look epic. Gorgeous views too.
Well, I like THAT kind of MTB. Here in Finland it's all about going slower than walking pace and tackling a trail of knee high roots.
Sucks!
Should have gone on your Norco. This would have been perfect trails for the CX bike!
And not one black taxi stopped to pick up a fare right in front of you. ;)
Brilliant trail...thanks for sharing!
Do u know of any good ones in London for hybrid bikes?
nothing like this in london. you got things like wandle trail, waterlink way and the canal routes that are good on a hybrid.
Cheers for that!

Yeah, done that myself.
Luck
Looks kinda like a DH trail. I'd still give it a go on my Banshee

Ah, you'd probably love the Nevis Range.

Get a Cyclocross bike.

Was this a vacation to Cowerneweal, or was it to play Housey housey a bingo?
Saaaay what?
How did the 29er feel Gaz?
It's good on everything but switchbacks (due to the huge wheelbase) and very easy to gain too much speed on the pumps because of that wheel base.
