Great video and tutorial of your diorama you're doing! The layout placement I think looks good as well. Look fwd to seeing your next video of what's going on w it! Cheers from Delmar, Delaware
In this video you use a map a to view and measure the engine facility. What were you using and how did you get the 3D views; they were cool and useful. Thanks. Looking forward to this build. I bet ths info would be a big hit on the Second Section Podcast.
Google maps (in a desktop web browser) already has the 3d buildings for Sioux Falls, so I just needed to rotate the camera view. As for measurements, you can right-click anywhere on the map and choose the measurement option from the list of menu items.
I'm thinking you should mount that table on a large lazy Susan so you can turn it 360 degrees. Then you can see it from any angle just by turning the table as a whole.
great call using Sketchup to mock up the layout, I had never considered doing that. Thanks for posting, the videos are great.
Looking forward to this build , I like what you're planning . The engine shed you mocked up is going to be nice .
Thanks! Yeah I'm psyched about it
This is gonna be a great diorama. Looking forward to the progress.
It's going to be a fun one for sure
I really enjoyed Part 1 Joey, looks like it is going to be a very interesting project series. Thanks for bringing this to us!
I’m super happy to see your content in my feed again! Definitely looking forward to your build and all future videos.
Thanks! This is going to be a fun one to share

Great stuff. I was looking at Sioux Falls as a potential project base a couple of days ago - I'm looking forward to seeing this develop.
Nice process. Sketchup is a great bit of software for sure!
Agreed!
Looking good
Thanks 👍
Are you going to include the highway overpass in your diorama? I think it would be a great "frame" element on the right side of the diroama.
No, there won't be enough room for it in the space I've alotted
Looks awesome!

@@JoeyBPhotography Thanks. While Sioux Falls is 3D other places like Marion, IL are 2D; why?
@Colin King it all depends on if Google maps has 3d models for that area. A lot of places still only have 2D
Hey where's the yellow? 😆 it's looking good Joey!
Wow what an awesome diorama. I just subbed ya and can't wait to watch the progress.
Thanks! I can't wait to work on more of this and share it out
Awesome man!!!! @@JoeyBPhotography

Hah, no need, it's on casters so I can spin and roll it around already
Nice stuff Joey…learn about something new every time you post…never heard of that sketch software
