Such a nice little take on analog vs digital in this interview! This is the world that interests me so much and it was fascinating to hear Tommy talk about this.
Tommy’s so right about playing and recording live. Many of my favorite CD/albums are those recorded live because of the magic that happens in that moment in time. Most often it’s folks playing at their full potential and may never be played the same way again.
Tommy is always worth listening to. He's right about American music, too ... such a rich history, it's no wonder why he wanted to relocate to the heart of it 💜
Thanks for the second part. The details on how they recorded the collaboration track with Barry Gibb were truly amazing. Love every second of the interview
Tommy tells the story of how when he was a kid, he and brother Phil (The Emmanuel Brothers) were beaten in a battle of the bands by some young kids who could sing real well. The older one played guitar with one finger (first time Tommy saw open tuning). Yeah, it was the Brothers Gibb. They were born in England but migrated to Australia.
Indeed! It's so beautiful to see how his early exposure to the Brothers Gibb came full circle not only in how far they all went, but also in Tommy's collaboration with Barry later on!
Oh Tommy. If you haven't heard him live all I can say is do it.

he is genuinely a nice guy to anyone.
Love Tommy. Went to his guitar camp last September in Nashville. What a wonderful guy. A truly memorable experience 🙏

He said it all, didn't he!? RIP dear Leon. God bless you all.

I've learned so much from this interview... Many thanks to you! Will there be a third part?
In the short-term, we don't have any plans to publish a third part. But we're leaving it as an open possibility in the future!
