    This is why I believe Jones doesn’t deserve to be considered the goat. It’s not that I believe no one else is taking PED’s or that drugs are bad, it’s all the damn preferential treatment he receives. I mean, this guy has literally had entire venues moved because of his issues. I just believe in a level playing field. Most people don’t even know Jones is not fighting right now because of supposedly another drug suspension. It’s not official because results are now hidden from the public, but a rival divulged it and wasn’t supposed to. Btw, nice video Dane.

    • @caiogrande89
      @caiogrande89 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have conflicting thoughts about this subject. In one hand I wish PEDs were extinguished from sports, because they create an unfair advantage and can be detrimental for the health of the athletes. In the other hand I have this question "what if we, instead of prohibing every PED, started to accept some of them?" The idea behind this question come from my observation on the bodybuilding scene and they way they treat those drugs. It's hard for me to put this though into words, but it feels like they have a healthier relationship with their drugs, and that they don't need to deal with "shady" drugs to boost their performance.

    A pal of mine is into mma and knows nothing about gear/steroids. I used steroids for 6 years in the 90s, he's lost 4 out of 10 fights he asked me to show him how to use gear. I tried to talk him out of it but he really wanted to try it he's winning his fights now after 6 months on gear don't get me wrong steroids don't make you a champion but it gave him the strength and confidence to help his training. You will always have steroids in sport .

Also I don't actually think that if Pirlo, Xavi, Iniesta would've given steroids they were able ye become such nuanced extra top players

    • @DeSpaceFairy
      @DeSpaceFairy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not really with just body weight as stimulus, you can pick in relative strength and endurance strength, maintain in muscle mass, but if you go every time to failure and don't recuperate enough your muscles start to breakdown. As a human your capacity at put on muscles mass is limited in time, by growth hormones (your endocrine system more generally) in your youth, level of myostatine limiting the amount of muscle mass and level testosterone until you hit your 40's for men it start to drop, for women at the menopause, but the muscles loss (or sarcopenia) start in average in the 30's (if you don't exercise it can be pretty quick), last and not least your alimentation.
