    Your results are cuute! I have always done twists outs and recently started doing braid outs. I love braid outs more than twist outs. Currently rocking a braid out.

    Do you think that being 4 months loc'd is an okay time to style locs? (Like rope twists, braidouts/twistouts)

    Do u have any tips on working out with locs. I’ve had my locs for almost a year, but I can’t balance the two.

      👋🏼 hi, I currently have baby locs(5mon). I do yoga daily and run minimum 4 times a week including sometype of body weight or calisthenics . I BASICALLY get sweaty, and sometimes my head gets so hot/sweaty it becomes itchy and later my roots puff up. I have found it a bit challenging but I don’t ever plan on leaving the fitness lifestyle so I honestly just listen to my hair. Sometimes wearing my hair up in pineapple works and sometimes it honestly does better left alone. You just have to try little things with your hair every time you workout and pay attention to what does & doesn’t work. A little tlc trial and error won’t hurt 🥰

    • @wendismith8789
      @wendismith8789 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jammieonne I agree. Just listening to your hair and letting it do what ever it's going to do. I find that putting a head band on my hair helps it. Or pinning it down with Bobby pins works too. After I workout I oil my scalp just a tad to help it with any potential smell. Enjoy your journey. Be Free & Powerful!! ☺💜💥

    Love this. I have done a braid out on my 4 month locs. I tried a twist out first and lol it didn’t go too well and now I have so that locked together. I think mine needs more time. but it looks so nice at 9 months!

    I got question did you use like 6 locs to braid it and have each strand have couple locs to braid ? I hope thwt make sense . Basically with my locs when I tried braiding with 3 locs one of them ends up 2 short to finish the braid 😪 feel like I shuf add more than 3 to braid it. Seems like you used maybe 5 or 6 🤷🏽‍♀️

    Love it!! I'm on my 3rd year loc journey and it has length but not volume. My West Indie side makes my texture great for locs but more soft less densed. I looooove volume, so I will try this! I'm 2 clicks from 60, the gray has taken over! I notice the gray is resistant to staying incorporated after loc maintenance. Any suggestions on how to keep gray from straying from the locs? Thanks!!

    Did you do a retwist before you did the braid out.? And what kind of styles do you do in between retwists? My locs are almost at the bob length but I repeatedly put it in a ponytail every day

    Hi Ragin! I've been watching a lot of your loc videos, including the locs and spirituality video, and am thinking of starting my own. However, I've been getting push back from certain family members who had locs in the past and say they're no good because they hold in negative energy and keep you from growing/stagnant. Have you ever done spiritual cleanses of your locs being that they hold and absorb energy? Or have you been unaffected?

    • @chioma916
      @chioma916 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hello! clearing energy is all about intention and what resonates with you. to start: how do you normally clear/reset your energy? for me, every time i light incense to clear out/reset my energy, i go over my crown area. my crown is naturally very very active, so i focus on the benefits of having an active crown and let the good things feed my locs and my energy. whenever i do chakra meditations, i allow the energy to wash over that area, as well. i consider my hair as a part of my crown chakra (my hair is still short), so i just let it take the healing it needs when i meditate. i try not to think too much about it. "where your focus goes, your energy flows."
      also, i set intentions for my locs as i care for them. when i wash, i set intentions, when i rinse, i set intentions. i feed them love and blessings. in very beginning of my journey, i programmed my locs to deepen my spiritual journey as they grow, as well.
      this journey is beautiful and has taught me so much about inner strength, Black joy, resilience, self love and nurturing. seeing my spiritual journey manifested externally along with me has been so rewarding. i wouldn't want you to miss out the beauty of this journey because of fear!! i would recommend journaling about this to get to the root of how you feel about this. ultimately, your locs are yours. you're the one wearing them, you're the one growing them, you're the one caring for them. it should be a mutually beneficial relationship, not a burden. if anything, if it doesn't resonate with you, you can remove them and start again when you're ready.
      i hope this helps. blessings.

      @@chioma916 Thanks so much for this response! This was helpful. I’m 5 months into my journey now and will definitely implement some of those things! My main goal is to be intentional about how I interact with my locs so I can constantly instill in positivity.

      @@KhetasarLove hello my love!! im so glad--locs are amazing because you really have to let them do their thing, and the beauty in that is that your intentions really shine through in that process. so much love for you and your journey!! xx
