  • Two former Bigfoot Challenge winners faced off on the 10 foot Diamond table in the second round of the 2023 Derby City Classic Bigfoot event.
The 2018 Derby City Classic Bigfoot winner, Roberto Gomez, was coming off a great year in 2002. He had eight major event wins and always plays well on the Bigfoot table.
2022 International Open Bigfoot champion, Fedor Gorst, seemed to own 2022 with over $250,000 in recorded prize money and many title wins, including the 2022 Derby City Classic Master of the Table title.
Jeremy Jones and Mark Wilson called all of the action.

    Belated happy birthday Mark !
Really appreciated how Mark subtly corrects JJ’s use of the word “felt “ by correctly using the word CLOTH in the next sentence.
Love ya Jeremy but please lose the “felt “
word when referring to the table cloth. I noticed Simonis has
    even added the word
CLOTH right there on the table. Sorry I get
    itchy when I hear “felt
but I’ve been chewed out by Lou Butera and
then by Nick Varner back in the 90’s for saying “felt”….Been a
    disciple since. Can’t
    help it!
    Great match!
Thanks DCC, Accu-Stats ,and Fedor and
    Roberto…and JJ and
    Mark.

Just to point out a problem with the paper rack….Yes I know, every one has seen it.
At 9 to 9, Roberto breaks, the cue ball runs around and knocks the 10ball,which is still sitting in the middle of the rack, out of the rack. The cue ball still has enough momentum to try to climb over the rack, but can’t quite make it over and is repelled back quite noticeably.
Neither Mark or Jeremy comment on the cue ball’s failed attempt to escape the rack, but had plenty of discussion on how hard it was for Roberto to comfortably bridge for his next shot at the 5 ball.
“ If the rack had not
thwarted the progress of the cue ball, they would not have had that discussion.
My point is the paper racks can not be the answer to our racking dilemma. Anything that affects the roll of the balls is just Not
Acceptable. It can affect the outcome of a game (or a match).
With sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars resting on the outcome of a match,
Well you know, this sometimes is a life or
    death situation.
I don’t recall what the problem was with the
    Sardo Tight Rack,something about
    indentations in the cloth.
And how does what they are doing on the
    euro-tour work. That
seems even faster than the Accu-Rack,
but isn’t it something like indentations in the
    cloth?
And I have noticed players and referees are starting to take more time fooling with getting the balls tight
    even with the paper rack.
Oh well,a solution to the racking issue will
    make someone big $$$$$ . ( Hopefully soon )

How about 10 ball with all 15 racked? 10 ball in center like 8 ball. Shoot rotation like normal but if you make the 11-15 even accidentally, it's ball in hand for opponent. You have to get shape on 10 ball with possible 5 blockers in play.

Sounds too hard. And will probably have 1,000 safeties a rack

Cheeky Gomez, taking extra timeout when Gorst is catching up. Who breaks better on a certain day - wins.

someone should remind JJ that it's okay to go a couple of seconds without talking occasionally. It doesn't have to be non stop. He wil still get paid.
