      At least attention is being brought to it. That's what we get when we ceased fining people for littering. When will we ever learn.

    as a kid I remember the milk truck stoping at our house. he would drop off 4 bottles and pick up returns on next trip. I loved those days

    • @harrisonmantooth3647
      @harrisonmantooth3647 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Rodney, yeah, I have many memories from that era too. Sometimes mom would leave a little note in the neck of the bottle for the milkman to leave some butter, eggs, or if we had been nice, a half gallon of chocolate milk or some OJ. There was also the bread truck that came around with all kinds of pastries.
      Yes, those were the good ole days,

    The Delaware license plate is from 1942-46, white on black porcelain enameled steel. That was the first series that had renewal tabs attached, which is what those slots in the plate are for.

    Appears to me that it could of been a wagon turning over or wrecking into the river rather then being disposed of there. Pots, pans, bottles, pistol, wagon ...... Definitely inclined to believe its less likely a dumping ground as it is the site of a wagon crash

    Beau, Great finds on the bottles, guns, horse shoe and stirrup and the kettle and skillet. I'm just in awe of everything that you find. I went back to what I thought would be a sweet spot (where I found the Gerber knife) but all I found was 3 different beer bottle caps, some rusty hooks, a metal spring and some fishing weights and a dog leash. I love the weights for when I go fishing. I plan on using the dog leash for connecting to me and my detector. May work may not. I've been wanting to go further into the water but I am coming across what I believe in your one video you called quicksand. I sink and I almost lost my water shoes. Then on land I fell into a big mud pit that is usually dry but it must have rained alot lately. I fell on my hands and knees and it was up to my elbows. And again I almost lost my water shoes. I had to lift up with my toes first and walk backwards just to get out. Was kind of scary. When it is dry it's not but like a little divot and I can drive my jeep through it. I'm glad I didn't try to drive my jeep through the water fill divot as I am sure that my jeep would have gotten stuck. I almost forgot I like the old hand drill (at least that is what I've always called them) can be fun to use, but takes a lot longer to accomplish your goal. I also have one that works as you push it down and then it goes back up and you push is down again and it drills a hole. It only holds tiny drill bits though.

      Hey bro..it is *waste ...not picking on your spelling as it is not a "spelling issue" it is a LANGUAGE issue.
      Waist and Waste have TOTALLY different meanings ...now PLEASE look up waist, you spelled it correctly but "waist" in this context is the wrong word as it does not mean refuse/trash.
      The intelligent ones are thankful and pleased make the adjustment when they realize...the tards reply with an offensive/defensive retort, learning no-thing. :)

    I think the piece of pottery you found and joked that it was a butter container, is stone crockery, and if old, is quite valuable. After looking some more I think you are right and it is a butter churn the giveaway is the strong rim to hold up to the stresses of churning butter. You are lucky it is intact.

    The gun looks like a H&R Model 999 Sportsman .22 cal 9 shot break top pistol. These type of break top pistols were made from the late 20's to the near past.

    The wheel looks as a model T or A wheel and tire they were wooden early on. Awesome (living the dream). I'm hooked. Just want to give you a shout out.

    Excellent finds! The pistol looks like a Webley Mk. IV but should have the name and serial number stamped on it once its cleaned up.

    that jug next to the license plate is used to make sour kraut. that trough at the top is filled with water and a lid is placed on top to make an air tight seal. :)

    The old pistol look's like an Iver- johnson or a Harrington- richardson. Maybe .22 caliber. Sure wish we could find stuff like that down in North West Georgia. Thank's for sharing.

    Looks like an old wood spoked car wheel. Very common up until the mid-late 1920s. It looked small for a wagon and the rim looked like it was for a pneumatic tire, but wasn't 100% sure till you stated it was. Cool find for sure. HH
