As a Broncos fan we saw this coming a mile away but even to me it's still insane that McDainels said "don't talk about the Patriots that way" when Coach Pierce was literally speaking for Josh and trying to stand up for him. McDainels doesn't deserve friends lol.

If anything it was a compliment to how good they were that Pierce said the giants had to have the mentality that no one could beat them. Easy choice for Mark Davis after that. You’re supposed to be the RAIDERS HC you have no current obligation to the patriots in any manner.

One of the smartest LBs in the Giants history. One of the only LBs I saw who used to audible with the opposing QB. Usually teams either stick with the play or was disguise it. I hope that translates well with in coaching.

The fact that they had a team meeting, heard what players had to say, and the head coach delegated someone else to respond rather than respond himself directly. It was time for him to go. And good that the natural leader (often the guy who gets called upon and gives the right answer) got the chance to replace him. Its almost like McDaniels picked his own successor when he unwittingly selected the one coach he knew the players respected and would listen to.

How incredibly unaware can a person be? If you are at a workplace for a year, you should know if people don't like you or rock with you. He should have known well before people said it audibly that he lost the team.
You're right but obviously he was oblivious to it, getting rid of and treating the leaders the way he did shows what a arrogant man he is and that he never earned the respect in that iockeroom
Players don't need to like the HC. But they need to respect him as a coach. There has to be something about him that makes them think "Yes, I see why he should be in charge." Maybe he's really smart. Maybe he's just ultra-dedicated. Maybe he is a father figure who wants them to be the best that they can be. Ideally it's all of the above.
Best thing Mark Davis can do is make no more hiring choices.
Here's the bad part. As I understand it, he paid someone to make that hire. A team that told him, "he's the guy you need". I don't know who it was, but I wouldn't let that team around a football again. Not little league, not jv, nothing. Blacklisted from every major and minor football organization in existence.
The best thing Mark Davis can do is sell the team.
And get a man's haircut.

If a majority of a locker room has nothing positive to say about coach….the problem is the coach! Not everyone loved Jimmy Johnson or Parcels….but they respected him enough to eat their personal feelings in order to win! Josh has never had any concrete evidence to convince any players to do the same! Parcells and Johnson though were tough love kind of coaches. They were hard them because they wanted their players to be tough and play good football, but off the field their players loved them. I feel like a lot of Belichick disciples think that being hardasses all the time is what Bill does, but he also knows when to relax and just be himself with his team.
McDaniels is a system built offensive coordinator not a qualified head coach! This proves it yet again! He should go back to the Patriots and help

As a Giant fan I'm thrilled for Antonio Pierce. He beat the Giants in his first game. Although the Giants are in a bad spot right now it's still a great win. He's the best Giants linebacker of this century. McDaniels was gong to be a bust, between Denver with Tebow and the Colts disaster. Marc Davis seems to be the only one who didn't see it coming.

Played p5 college ball, never got past some tryouts for the pros. But we had a similar deal with my high school coach. He was a complete psycho though and after we aired our grievances to him, he proceeded to rip each and every one of us. Took almost an hour. Just kept cussing and hitting on every point he thought was wrong with us individually. Lo and behold, there was a female trainer in the training room just aghast at what she was hearing. Went and told her parents. Word got out. Coach was fired 2 days later. It was glorious.
I think Douche Mcdickels was having a deja vu moment the way everyone in the building was talking bad about him. It reminded him of what his wife thinks about him as well
I’ve said this before, and will say it again. Not because you are a great Offensive or Defensive Coordinator, means you are going to be a good coach. Look at McDaniels and look at Tod Bowles. He’ll be back in New England as their OC next year.

As a Bronco fan, I was not surprised at all. He said was going to change because he learned a lot from his failure in Denver. Then he went and did pretty much the exact same thing. Alienate or trade star players. CHECK! Keep running the same plays over and over even when they're failing. CHECK! Throw players under the bus instead of taking responsibility. CHECK! The Raiders are our rivals. Historically, if I hate one team, it's them. However, I both hate McDaniels so much, and identify with the pain of having him as a coach, that I became a Raider fan for one night. I was so happy for them that they had joy again. I was so happy for the players that they could enjoy the game they played. I hope Raider fans can enjoy the rest of the season.

As a Giants fan, that 07 team that won honestly just underachieved during the regular season at 10-6. We had such a beast of a team. Our front 4 was such a problem. Strahan, Osi, Tuck, Kiwi. Pierce of course. On offense we had Jacobs absolutely demolishing defenders.. sorry had to reminisce somewhere. Check on your friends that are Giants fans, we're not okay.
I don't have any friends who are Giants fans, but if I ever meet one I will be sure to comfort them in these dark times.
