My wife's first experience at a Michigan was that 2011 Notre Dame game which Denard won at almost exactly 12 PM. After that I thought of him as Captain Midnight!
I live in Nebraska as a Michigan fan and the first time I ever went to a game was the game he hurt his elbow against the Huskers. The amount of people around me that were cheering for Denard’s injury to be permanent was appalling. I know most Husker fans aren’t like that but I still hope we beat them by 60 every time we play.
Denard...my all time guy...the love for the university is unmatched....I absolutely loved his interview his SR year at B1G Media Day...what an ambassador!!!
Thanks Jake and Denard! What a great way to learn about the ‘humans’ behind the winged helmet. It was so gratifying to hear the pride you both have in being Michigan Men. You both are generational players and incredible men of character. Thank you!!! Go Blue!! 👊🏻
I just want to tell you that as a Michigan fan of over 60 years , the pride I feel listening to you young Michigan men is overwhelming , and deep. Thank you..
Thank you gentlemen for your time and great insight. As life long Michigan fan it’s great to hear behind the scenes conversations. I thank both of you for your leadership as Michigan men!! GO BLUE!!〽️
One of my absolute favorite players as well. I would yell at the top of my lungs watching him play: “Deeee-nard Rob-in-son!” just like the “Deeee-troit Bas-ket-ball!” I can’t thank you enough for this kind of content…. I ❤it so much! GO BLUE! 〽️💙🏈🏆
I was born and live in Columbus. Hate most UM players. But I always liked Dennard. His raw talent, attitude and effort on the field were fun to watch. Best wishes to him in his future.
This was so good. No other school has alums and players with the connection and pride that us Wolverines have. Tell Denard we need to start up some type of Wolverine Southerners group or something. I'm from TN and got my degree in 2008.
You’re both very busy men, so thanks for the time! Culture matters so much, and I’m glad to see it being sown and harvested there again. Disregard the comments about current events. All those buying into it don’t know it, but wolverine fans only see jealousy pouring out of every negative word.
My sons 10 an he wants to be in Michigan. Hes glued to the school .i wish i jad the money to send him the the greatest school in the world . If your listening to his pain of us not havimg the money . We are from a small town in ohio .Jake if you are really listening to us plz contact us .we wld love to hear from u. Hes got a 4.0 in school an just wants to be a part of this great culture.
Denard is my favorite player of all time. He was a bright light in a dark period of Michigan Football. Go Blue!

Real Michigan fans will always love and appreciate Denard. This man gave us something to cheer about during some dark times. A true Michigan Legend!!!

Denard was the most electric player in Michigan history
As an OSU fan I would agree. Fun to watch.

Denard would've made so much money if NIL was around when he played. He was the one light in an era of darkness.

Wow, I think that was an awesome segment. It’s good to know some of the people behind-the-scenes.

To legends with such unfortunate late career injuries, breaks my heart

I used to work with Jake Butts mom here in columbus
Shoelace ! Turned the program around!!!!
Michigan, when you sacrifice integrity for glory you get neither!
If ya cant beat em, cheat em. Stay classy blue.
C'mon butt, take the shirt and tie off, stop being such a professional. So formal
I don't remember Denard being so wide around the waist...lol
Denard looks like he has lost some weight good for him
