Marie Fredriksson was such a great singer. You really did a great job on this. Not easy to sing her songs.They made a documentary in Swedish about this song a couple of years ago that was really good. It turned out that many of the sounds were misstakes that they used in the final version. Roxette really wanted to make it in the US. The were already big in Sweden with their first album and they really blew up with Look Sharp but nothing really happened in the US until an exchange student that was living in the same town as me took his CD to his local radio station and they started playing it and it just got bigger and bigger. He probably bought his copy in the same record stores that I used to go to as a kid.
This is such a great story! Didn’t know about that thing of the cd at a local radio. Wow. They deserved more success in my opinion. Great sounds, great voice, powerful couple. They were an incredible duo and I love Marie Fredriksson. What a loss!
@@francescaluna Marie had a very successful solo career in Sweden both before and during her time in Roxette. The lyrics were in Swedish and she gained a lot of critical praise. Some is it is really good like Kärlekens skuld, Om du såg mig nu and Efter stormen is some great songs that you could check out. Released the year before Look Sharp.
